Ben Folds' Rockin' The Suburbs while not quite as good as his work with Ben Folds Five, was a lot better than the spellbindingly boring follow-up, Songs For Silverman

Breakfast: Two banana-apple pancakes with a tall glass of H20. Lunch: Homestyle Chicken Sandwich combo at Wendy's with a Dr. Pepper. Right now I'm about to crack open a strawberry milk from a local dairy and tonight, Irish dinner, baby! Corned beef, cabbage, potatoes and soda bread!

WrestleMania XII is one of my least favorite WrestleManias ever. The Iron Man match is good but kind of dull at the same time and it's hard to think of any other good matches. Diesel/The Undertaker was good considering the participants. I vaguely remember a decent Savio Vega/Steve Austin match but that's about it. That whole pay per view felt like a glorified In Your House. I know I'm going to sound silly but there was none of the WrestleMania mystique or magic with that show with XII at least they did a decent job of making it feel like a big event (even if it wasn't).

Just for the record, I'm mainly going because Ben Folds is opening but I wouldn't go if I didn't at least tolerate Mayer.
-
Even as a mark, WrestleMania XI seemed so average. There was nothing really special about it (no matter how hard they tried to push LT Vs Bam Bam, it was just a washed up football player Vs a midcard heel to me). That being said, it's not horrible. There's several matches in the **-*** range, nothing stands out but there's nothing horrible (Except Bundy Vs The Undertaker).

I'm probably going to see John Mayer on July 17th in Boston. Ben Folds is the main opener and there's another opener. There... I feel better now for admitting that.

Er...I don't get what you're trying to say...

Got my tickets to B.B. King in the mail today. $50 with $11 service charges. Yeesh! I think I can justify it by realizing he's probably going to die soon and I haven't seen him before. Hopefully, I can get tickets to either The Roots in Lewiston on the 26th or Clipse in Portland on the 31st. God, hip hop acts NEVER come to Maine (last one was like Fat Joe and a bunch of other shite two years ago) and now two are coming the same week.

Now that show owned, I have a couple of old VHS'. I never could tell whether it was supposed to be for kids or adults. The plots were pretty adult but then again you had Baby and his annoying catchphrases. Yeck. I have The Complete First and Second Season of Dinosaurs on my NetFlix queue. I think I'm gonna bump it up.

They were only around for three or four months tops in the summer of '99 and didn't do anything really of note. I remember a brief feud with The Revolution towards the end of their run.
-
Believe it or not, it was actually the other way around, he appeared in Quiznos commercials after the show got cancelled. But he had appeared in various dotcom company commercials. And are we all too young to forget that Joe Isuzu had his own failed sitcom?

Off topic; but does anybody know of any good 10cc singles collections that span their whole career? I'm really liking what I've heard thus far. And I dismissed these guys as being generic 70s soft rockers for so long (Well apparently, they did become that later on but whatev)
-
Yeah and Avril was so such a great indie artist, too.

I somehow got free tickets to last year's Taste of Chaos tour. Every band was completely and utterly forgettable. I also won free tickets to a forgettable music festival (Headlined by Roseanne Cash and MCd by G.E. Smith for some reason) and a charity concert headlined by Blues Traveler. Man, why can't I win some good free tickets for a change?

There's an EP on ITunes of just some guy on an acoustic guitar warbling Hinder songs. I don't know if it's supposed to be a joke or not but it's awful. Hopefully it doesn't get played on the radio.... Don't even ask me why I was looking up Hinder on ITunes.

For me, it's a tie between Lance Henriksen and Bruce Campbell. I saw a few minutes of one with Joey (Ah hem excuse me Joseph) Lawrence a couple weeks back.

Breakfast: Asiago bagel from Panara Bread with a glass of water. Lunch: Big ass plate of nachos with water Dinner: Leftover salmon with brown rice and Coca Cola.

Is there any point to this? Actually, is there any point to Bob Backlund being in TNA? I know he gets a lot of love on the board, and I like the guy too, but he's not doing anything. He just wanders around backstage, cuts rambling promos and put awful looking chickenwings on Austin Starr. What's the point? You plebian! It's obvious he's incredibly desperate for work! Yeah, I don't really get the point of Bob Backlund after WrestleMania XI. I love the guy but he's really just been a rambling, old guy that wasn't there for anything more than comic relief for the past 10-11 years. Here's "Howdy Doody" Backlund losing it after Peter Maivia turned on him http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEGg_NrgV4U Notice young Vince McMahon and the pre Attitude era swearing (by Bob Backlund) and the preceding heel turn, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ciLsZ0zPcg...ted&search=

Thrasher owns a Papa Johns (or Dominoes...Some major pizza chain) in New Jersey. I remember this because some poster either here or on Wrestling Classics was talking about how Trasher shook some guy down who was going to shortchange him.

Yep, a very underrated match. Davey Boy/Owen = probably my favorite all time WWF tag team. Hate to make this into a Davey Boy/Owen appreciation thread but I loved the mini feud they had around the time of the European title finals. That was the one instance I remember off the top of my head that I really enjoyed the "two wacky tag team partners who don't get along" angle.

Hmm, that's some pretty good casting. I've always enjoyed Aaron Eckhart's work. I've got a killer shark movie on my NetFlix queue starring Lou Diamond Phillips, Kristy Swanson, Coolio and Dennis Haskins. If you can get a better cast for a Sci Fi Channel Original, I haven't seen it.

Breakfast: Nothing really unless you count water (I really should start eating breakfast again! It starts tomorrow!) Lunch: Sausage, Egg and Cheese sandwich on a bagel (hmm), tangerine-orange juice and a couple of pieces of Sweet and Sour chicken I scrounged off of some of me mates who ordered Chinese Food Dinner: Fish sticks and French Fries with baby carrots and water. Snack: French Onion Sun Chips and a Chocolate milkshake (A winning combination if there was one)
-
I've had a pretty sad day foodwise thus far Breakfast: Potato chips and water Lunch: Garlic Breadstick, French Fries and a Diet Coke Dinner: Leftover stirred fry chicken with vegetables and leftover wheat pasta (Blech!)

I don't know about the rest of the Northeast, but I've never heard anyone here in Portland, Maine outside of a few elderly people call soda "pop".
