Lately it seems that Country Music Television changed from the country music video channel to replacing TNN's role as a channel that covers all redneck needs.

Lays Sour Cream and Onion chips with water.

Much Music U.S.A, a network featuring bountiful amounts of Our Lady Peace videos (I'm not saying this as a good thing) and Ed The Sock to Fuse, a channel with a lot of shitty emo and rap videos.

I haven't heard Gett Off by Prince for quite some time until I saw the video on VH1 Classics just a couple of minutes ago.

I researched Portales, New Mexico on Yahoo and I found it was the home of the well respected institution of education, Eastern New Mexico State. I bet the show was there, somewhere on campus. Still that's miserable 1995esque attendance for a show, even if it was a C show.

WWF @ St. Mary's, PA - July 26, 1986 (500) Scott McGhee defeated Les Thornton Jose Luis Rivera defeated Terry Gibbs Brickhouse Brown defeated Tiger Chung Lee The Haiti Kid defeated Butch Cassidy B. Brian Blair & Jim Brunzell defeated Brutus Beefcake & Greg Valentine I didn't know Brickhouse Brown ever wrestled in the WWF. I remember watching Ultimate Pro Wrestling (Basically old WCCW and IWCCW matches) on Sunday mornings on UPN and Brickhouse Brown was featured quite a bit. I remember I was really impressed by him, he definitely had the look to be a WWF "superstar".

47. It's not like Hassan is as offensive to Arabs as the Parkers was to fans of sitcoms.
-
30. Cause if he's gone they'll have to replace him with a less offensive Arab..............Tiger Ali Singh!
-
21. He's better than the Iron Shiek. I'm talking 2005 Iron Shiek. Not 1984 Iron Shiek. I highly doubt Hassan could swing those Persian clubs like the Shiek.

Urgent By Foreigner, I found it on my ITunes playlist and it was a true WTF moment, then I listened to it.

WWF @ Portales, NM - July 25, 1988 (302) DJ Peterson defeated Billy Anderson WWF Women's Champion Sensational Sherri defeated Rockin Robin Paul Roma & Omar Atlas (sub. for Jim Powers) defeated Barry Horowitz & Sifi Avi Frenchy Martin pinned Koko B. Ware Tito Santana pinned Ron Bass What a terrible card, still that's awful attendance. That's an essential C show. I find it funny that Koko B. Ware couldn't even beat a manager.

I thought honestly, the Sid undefeated streak could have gone fairly well. It was just piss poor execution.

Another Prince reinvention; Going from the jazz instrumental album, N.E.W.S, which IIRC didn't even crack the top 200 (Not that Prince really cares about commercial success anymore due to his heaps upon heaps of money) to the old school funk/ R&B stylings of Musicology, which made him a relevent artist for the first time in ten years.

Yeah, I think GAB 99 was the start of WCW's big demise. Spring Stampede 99 was a kick ass little PPV and I thought Slamboree 99 had its moments (Shut up). Great American Bash 99 was just a god awful PPV with no match going above the **1/2 range. After that WCW went on a longass streak of sucky PPVs that didn't end until Fall Brawl 2000, by then it was too late.

The Guy You Like Who Actually Sucks

I was and still am a big fan of Sid's WCW title run in 2000. It seemed like he was the only one that year to give the belt a little bit of crediblity and I enjoyed his feud with Jeff Jarrett, even though IIRC it never got a proper blowoff. -
If I had to compare Goldberg with any band it would be Boston. Both aren't really that good, but they had a certain something that made them beloved by millions. Both came out of the gate strong and everyone thought they were the next big thing. As the years went on, their appearences became less frequent and when they did appear, they were crappy. Still for some reason, promoters think they can sell out arenas. That was another bad analogy but a bit better than Goldberg/Pink Floyd.

is it the fact he banged Sheryl Crow?

They Threw Me Out Of Church is my favorite Wesley Willis song by far Once upon a time, i was cursing in daniel's chapel a.m.e. zion church I called one of the deacons a motherfucker Reverend Henry E. Miller preached about my vulgar language He told the congregation in the sanctuary that I got a nasty filthy mouth They threw me out of church They threw me out of church They threw me out of church They threw me out of church For the second time, I told the preacher to fuck off I also told Reverend Henry E. Miller to suck a male camel's dick He got so tired of my bullshit He told one of the deacons to throw me out He then escorted me to the door They threw me out of church They threw me out of church They threw me out of church They threw me out of church When I went to church that same Sunday, I picked up a 2 x 4 I went up to the pulpit and clocked the preacher in the head He fell to the floor unconscious Suddenly, the police was called on me I then ran out of the church with a grin on my face being chased after by the cops They threw me out of church They threw me out of church They threw me out of church They threw me out of church They threw me out of church Diet pepsi, uh-huh I don't know why but that song gets me everytime. Chris Burke's (Corky, the kid with Down's Syndrome from Life Goes On) album always cracks me up, too. Same thing with Hulk Hogan's Wrestling Boot Band.

The OAO Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Thread

I saw a matinee yesterday for $3.50 (Cheapest movie ticket I've bought in years). It was well worth the money. An entertaining little flick, I had my doubts but I enjoyed it. I thought Tim Burton was going to do another shitty remake but he proved me wrong thankfully. -
If drinking counts; I'm drinking Barq's root beer straight out of the two liter bottle.
-
yep that's the ticket (the elevation nosebleed thing). The nickname is used in every sport (Football, baseball, basketball, hockey, etc.)
-
Way up in the second or third deck, depending on how big the arena is. Basically, the cheap seats.

I got to go with my main home being a nice apartment smack dab in the heart of Boston or Manhattan. My vacation home being somewhere in rural Maine or New Hampshire.
