About U2, I read in the liner notes of the Boomtown Rats Greatest Hits album, that U2 started out as the Hype that they were a Peter Frampton cover band. I wonder if Bono and the Edge still rock out to Frampton Comes Alive!

Bruce Springsteen went from four track folkster on Nebraska to 80s pop rock god on Born In The U.S.A. Although some would say that was a turn for the worse.

the new Family Guys are just like the new episodes of the Simpsons, they're both decent enough shows and the episodes have great setups but somewhere they fall short and descend into randomness. I marked for the A-Ha part.

Michael Jackson reached his peak on Thriller, his second solo album ( I don't really count the solo albums he made while he was in the Jackson 5). Bad and Dangerous are both quite good albums though. History and Invincible on the other hand.....

I didn't see G.Love cause I had to go to a friend's birthday. However, I was at my family's camp this weekend and heard one of the best radio stations I've ever heard (A ClearChannel station nonetheless). It was a classic rock station out of Camden, Maine of all places and while it mainly played classic rock, it also played blues, reggae, Van Morrison type stuff and Motown. It also played album tracks once every twenty minutes or something. A nice, solid variety of music.

Surprisingly, all of them. They still put on the old outfits *shudder*

When Doves Cry- Prince

Yeah, but he was giving an example of Francona being a bad manager and Grady Little left Pedro in too long in the ALCS two years ago. Speaking of Grady Little, I wonder why he hasn't been hired as a manager by any team, yet.

Sausage lasagna is one my favorite meaty dishes.

BUMP, can't see this die. Vegetarian lasagna and a glass of ice water.

*recalls Pedro coming in at the end of one of the ALCS games and almost blowing it* I dunno about the learning factor..... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's a slight exaggeration, I think you're talking about Game 7 of the ALCS. Pedro came in the 7th inning with the Red Sox up 8-1 to do mop up work (Which he shouldn't have been doing) and gave up two runs. Still an idiotic move by Francona, but at no point did Pedro almost blow the game. Unless I'm having a brainfart and forgetting about one of the other games.

Was Summerslam 90 in Philadelphia? That's the only reason I think the Rockers would get booed cause they seemed to be a fairly popular tag team.

I saw the Eastern League All Star game (Double A) last night, one of the more fun baseball games I've ever been, major or minors. A good back and forth slugfest. A funny thing happened, the starters came down from the luxury boxes and several players got lost on their way down to the field and got mobbed by the crowd. I got to high five Red Sox #1 prospect Hanley Ramirez during this whole deal.

Don't forget Meat Loaf! PTI is just not the same when Wilbon and/or Kornheiser are absent. It's just like the sports debate show equivalent of Coy and Vance on Dukes of Hazard. I'd almost rather have them put on a classic boxing match instead of PTI, if the hosts aren't there.

I'd go with Prince, his first two albums were for the most part, generic 70s R&B than all of a sudden he comes out with Dirty Mind and the rest his history. That's only one of his instances of coming back strong.

Don't they have a guy that simply bangs on a barrel? If so, that guy is the best barrel player in rock and roll.

I saw Alice Cooper last September and like a lot of old rockers, he can still bring it. He played a lot of old stuff (In fact almost all old stuff, maybe two songs off his new album and Poison were the only stuff he played that was released in the past two years). His stage show is still pretty kick ass, when I saw him their was a girl dressed in a yellow tracksuit ala Uma Thurman in Kill Bill and she got into a sword fight with Alice, and there was a big West Side Story type brawl between some guys in leather jackets and Alice and his band. As the show ended the girl in the tracksuit came back onstage and Alice said "Ladies and gentlemen, that was my daughter!" So yeah, Alice Cooper still puts on a damn good show. I'd recommend you buy the ticket if it's a reasonable price.

Well, as I said, they showed it on Saturday and IIRC they showed full sets but obviously skipped over a few sets.

Black Sabbath reached their peak with Paranoid (Although you could almost say any of their first four albums were their peaks.), the rest after their first four albums have been.........

I hate to point it out again and defend a member of B2K, but this story is a fake. http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/e..._music_eo/16906

I'm rooting for Big Papi, this year's competitors look really lackluster, I mean Hee Seop Choi is in the freaking contest.

Well I read in Rolling Stone about four or five months ago that N*E*RD has decided to break up or something along those lines. I guess Pharrell and Chad want to focus on producing or something like that.

Geez, what's with you seeing crappy hip hop/R&B concerts?

Sorry to point out to you, but they showed it two days ago. Alas, there probably will be a DVD coming.
