Movies you've seen WAY too many times
King Kamala replied to Epic Reine's topic in Television & Film
Yeah, every math teacher in my middle school and high school had to show Stand and Deliver at least once. I once saw Pay It Forward twice in one day during one of the last days of school when there was absolutely nothing to do. -
Yeah, only problem is my friend's birthday is the same day so it all depends on what he's doing. But I might just get him a gift and go to the concert anyways.

Big Daddy The things is I liked the movie but I didn't really like it and then I got HBO and I decided to watch it whenever it was on. Can't stand to watch it now. Damn Steve Buscemi drew me in every time! EVERY TIME! -
I might see G. Love and Special Sauce next Friday at the local casino ball room. I just read he plays two ninety minute sets with an intermission in between. Should be a bargain for just $19.50 for tickets.

I was marking out the whole night. It's probably the best for nostalgia purposes only. The only A house show I've been to, the other ones I got were B shows.

I'm attending the Double A all star game, I'm really looking forward to that. Should be a load of fun. I hope to get some autographs from some top prospects. I already got Hanley Ramirez's signature.

Pink Floyd, Green Day and Kanye West were the best performances of the day.....odd trio there. Still, I think, two more acts at the Barrie, Ontario show; Neil Young and Barenaked Ladies.
-
I heard somewhere that Neil Young actually is playing at the Barrie show. Ah here it is, from the man himself, http://www.neilyoung.com/tour.html Don't know about Rush though.

Five Guys is a good small chain out in the DC/Northern Virginia area. I always go there when I'm in that neck of the woods. Their are two mom and pop places nearby that have the best burgers I've ever had. No fancy fixins, just ketchup, mustard, onions and blissfully awesome ground beef. The buns are steamed and nice and soft in both places.

I have two pairs of Converse (One is black and red, the other is blue with a red tongue) , some black, white and orange Vans skate boarding shoes and some cheap ass Wal-Mart sandals. I also have some really cheap dress shoes.

The best part of the True Life "I Have Embarassing Parents" is the fact the dad used to play drums for Billy Joel and during the episode, "performed" his rap song "Everybody's a Nigga"

Since this is a pro wrestling board (at least in theory), I gotta throw out the I'm A Pro Wrestler episode with Triple H, Rory Fox and Tony Atlas. Tony Atlas: Does anybody have a cellar phone?

I was looking on Pollstar and I found a bill in Mexico that's UFO and 10,000 Maniacs. That's fuckin' weird. I wonder what kind of audience that's going to draw.
-
I was actually gonna go on a road trip out there. So many bands I want to see and only $30! Alas it is not to be.
-
It'd be a first. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not a big Weezer fan? or are you someone who've seen them live and thinks they suck live?
-
I wonder what bill Bruce will be on? I'm almost sure its Philadelphia, Bruce is from South Jersey after all but given the rap (and general crappy music) nature of that bill, Bruce would look way out of place.
-
possible Guess Who reunion? Barenaked Ladies? Brian Adams and Loverboy gotta get on the Toronto bill, so they can pretty much have every Canuck band on there.

Oh shows how little I care about British award shows. I hate shows with multiple opening acts or any show with multiple opening acts unless its like a huge fesitval or something.Smaller shows I'm able to understand though for some reason but big shows, everybody's paying to see you anyways why have a bunch of opening acts.
-
Yeah I thought of that and realized I was probably wrong. Hopefully, we can at least get a Boomtown Rats reunion out of this. Me and three other people would mark out.
-
Modest Mouse sold out the 2000 seat former porno theater/concert venue in my town. I was impressed, cause not even John Fogerty could do that that far in advance. Why is Bob Geldof giving himself a slot at Live 8? I like the Boomtown Rats, but he hasn't done anything anyone's listened to in 20+years. It just seems a bit egotistical.

Cameo should have won, for some reason I really dug their R&B version of 1985. Wang Chung's version of Hot in Herre was downright hillarious.
-
Weezer replaced Spoon with another band I've never heard of called the Fray. I checked a video of theirs on their website, they described themselves as a mix between Coldplay and Lifehouse. I was hoping that description was wrong....it wasn't. Ah well, Weezer is going to kick ass.

I wish God Damn Chris Byrd and his promoters would stop pussyfooting around and get to signing a rematch with Vitali Klitschko. To me, those guys are the only somewhat legit heavyweights as of now.
