Why the hell are they on the bill?

Forgot another one Smashing Pumpkins opening up for KISS at Dodger Stadium during KISS' first comeback tour. Also during the same tour I think Pantera opened for KISS. When my dad saw KISS during the Dynasty tour (Dynasty was the album where KISS went "disco") and he said the opening act was New England (A Boston ripoff down to the name). The fact that New England sucked horribly, made KISS seem 10x better then they already were.

    Favorite Shakespeare productions or whatever

I played Charles the Wrestler in As You Like It. What a kick ass role. The adaptation I was in was set in 1930's Hollywood. I got stabbed in the head with a pair of scissors. In some cemetery in England, William Shakespeare's grave slowly rolled over. I also doubled as Corin, an old shepard.

Why the hell are they on the bill?

Got another one I forgot to mention a whiny female singer/songwriter (IE Jewel ripoff) opening up for Weird Al. Man it must suck to get heckled by 1000 eight year olds.

    This Week in Baseball

How about the Royals/Expos doubleheader a month or so back? The past two consecutive years the worst team in the AL and NL have clashed in interleague play. Last year the Padres and Tigers played in a series that evoked no memories of the 84 World Series. There's a conspiracy I'm telling you by Bud Selig to give us even more crappy baseball. Dammit I want Cubs/Red Sox interleague matchups not Royals/Expos!

Why the hell are they on the bill?

Oh about the Black Sabbath/Mungo Jerry bill I mentioned in the first post. I knew their was a third band that made the bill even weirder and I asked my dad who it was and it was the immortal Badfinger. Badfinger for you young 'uns (Or people who haven't seen the Behind the Music episode) were hyped to be the next Beatles in the early 70's. Needless, to say they flamed out after a handful of hits (They did Come And Get It, No Matter What, and a cover of Nillson's I Can't Live If Living Is Without You). What a weird bill, Mungo Jerry followed by Black Sabbath followed by Badfinger. Is it just me or does the whole Linkin Park/Korn/Snoop Dogg/The Used/Less Than Jake bill sound weird. You got two faux punk band, two faux metal bands and Snoop Dogg for shits and giggles.

    Most embarassing wrestling T-shirt

The Shawn Michaels shirt you were talking about. If you had put a heart around the picture of HBK then it would be exactly like something a 13 year old girl would wear to her first concert.

    Awesome animation clip

HA HA HA HA! My mom was talking by this last night. So that means my mother is cooler then all of you! HA HA HA HA HA HA! I actually saw this. It's pretty good....but it's no All Your Base Are Belong To Us. But it's still pretty good. I really like the Bill Clinton cameo and the Howard Dean scream.

    Most embarassing wrestling T-shirt

That sounds like something a 13 year old girl would wear to their first concert. Or I would wear to any concert. Sorry to part but I've got tickets to Dreamstreet....

What's the loudest band you've ever seen live.

Are you like a metal Captain America? Hmm that's a great idea for a TV show. Tonight on Metal Captain America, Special Guest Star: Tony Iommi I really don't go to many loud shows. Maybe I should. I'm sick and tired of going to namby pamby sissy ass shows! *Rushes out to get Goatwhore tickets*

What's the loudest band you've ever seen live.

I haven't seen many really loud bands, but the venue that was the loudest for me was this small club called the Skinny. It couldn't fit any more then 500 people and I saw SR-71/The Exies there (I can't remember why I went to see SR-71) and I was stumbling around right after the concert. My ears were ringing. Man it was loud, they had way too many amps considering A. It was a small club and B. It was SR-71, a D-grade Blink 182 ripoff.

    NBA odds

I agree with you Raza. The Wizards I think have a slim shot at the 8 seed. I know we've said this for the past three years but this is a make or break year for Kwame Brown and Gilbert Arenas showed himself to be one most underrated players in the game. The Antawn Jamison trade (And getting rid of Stackhouse and Laetner) also helped. While the Clippers have a very slim chance of breaking out of the bottom dwellers of the Western Conference.

    NBA odds

I'd put the Hawks at worse odds to win the championship then the Bobcats. The Bobcats have Okafur who's NBA ready and several young guys that are supposed to have breakout years. I wouldn't put them as playoff contenders (even in the sorry ass East) but I could see them winning 20 games. The Hawks have absolutely no one, even if hell freezes over and they sign Erick Dampier. Let's look at the rosters: Charlotte Bobcats: Lonny Baxter (FA) F 6-8 260 1/27/79 Maryland '02 2 J.R. This Week in Baseball

I was going to start a thread about the electric Pirates-Expos series tonight, but decided against it. Man those games are going to be electric, 8,000 people going wild. Think we'll see a showdown between Craig Wilson and Livian Hernandez. God I hope so. I'm peeing my pants in anticipation.

The OAO 'I Love the 90's" thread

Actually, I think VH1 is smart enough to realize that the whole I Love The... series has run its course. It was too soon to do the 90s and as a result everyone found it a lot less funny. VH1 knew when to pull the plug on Behind the Music when it seemed to be lampooning itself so I have faith they'll pull the plug on the I Love The Series for at least five or six more years. Then again it did take VH1, way too long (IE Three months) to cancel VH1 ILLustrated.

The OAO 'I Love the 90's" thread

I'd put WWF and the second wrestling boom on the 2000 episode. Although you could put it on 99. At the current pace I Love The 00's will be premiering January 1. 2010 *shudders*

    NBA Offseason News and Moves

Celtics should sign Eric Williams back and some more good roleplayers. I accept the fact Ainge can't sign any big money free agents but god dammit if the Celts want to make it past the first round he's gotta sign somebody.

The OAO 'I Love the 90's" thread

The thing I was most surprised they didn't mention was Terminator 2, as it was one of the four or five biggest movies of the decade. They mentioned SFW but not Terminator 2, what the fuck is that?

Can I change mine to Giant King Kimala II: The Botswana Beast....that name might be a bit too long. Just cut out the Botswana Beast part out if it is on the long side.

What beverage are you drinking right now?

Woah Pepsi Blue is still around. Color me surprised. I haven't seen it in six months. I hate that shit. Tastes like blue raspberry bubble gum. Soda shouldn't taste like bubble gum.

    This (Half) Week in Baseball

Credit: MLB.com ATLANTA -- The Expos traded outfielder Carl Everett and cash considerations to the White Sox on Sunday for minor league pitchers Jon Rauch and Gary Majewski. The Expos were hoping that Everett would pick up some of the power that was lost by Vladimir Guerrero, who signed with the Angels as a free agent this past offseason. But Everett played in just 39 games in 2004 because of shoulder and ankle injuries. At the time of the trade, the switch-hitter was hitting .252 with two home runs and 14 RBIs. This will be Everett's second stint with the White Sox. On July 1, 2003, the Texas Rangers traded Everett to Chicago for minor league pitchers Frankie Francisco and Josh Rupe, and outfielder Anthony Webster. Everett played in 73 games for the White Sox and hit .301 with 10 home runs and 41 RBIs. The Expos signed Everett last December to a two-year, $7.5 million contract, plus an option year. Everett can opt out of the contract after this season. The club option is worth $5 million, but the Expos could have bought him out for $500,000. Rauch, a starter, has Major League experience. In 10 career games with the White Sox, he was 3-2 with a 6.51 ERA. He had spent most of this season with Triple-A Charlotte, where he was 6-3 with a 3.11 ERA in 14 games. Majewski, 24, is a reliever who has never played in the big leagues. His best season was with Double-A Birmingham in 2003. He was 5-3 with a 2.65 ERA. He struck out 75 batters in 74 2/3 innings. In 2004, he's 3-3 with a 3.19 ERA and a team-leading 14 saves for Charlotte. Well Jurassic Carl has left Montreal. So much for him succesfully replacing Vlad the Impaler.

WWE News & Notes from the 7/19 Observer

Wow it's been a long time since I've been in this forum. Hulk says Playboy's interested in his daughter. In the thread about a couple months back it said his daughter was 15! Creepy.

I can't believe I predicted Houston to win the World Series. I can't believe it. I also predicted the Expos would finish above .500. And the Clippers would make the playoffs. I am never making a prediciton again!

Jack Black to play Green Lantern?

I know you're all gonna bash me for defending WB's decision to cast Jack Black as the Green Lantern. However, Jack Black did do a dramatic turn as the villain in the Neverending Story III. Ok, I got nothing. I don't think anybody can defend the decision to cast Jack Black as the Green Lantern. Speaking of comedians as superheroes, I read on IMDB, that producers were originally interested in casting Bill Murray as Batman.
