Yeah 1st round is pretty crazy, I think I meant 2nd round draft pick. Either way trade Wallace to purgatory, I hate that guy. I don't think Boston will get any better this year, I think they'll just keep losing and losing. I think they should somehow hassle a high profile coach at the end of this year to coach for him. When does Pitino's contract with Louisville end? Let's try it one more time

Portland should just send Wallace to purgatory- the Atlanta Hawks. Trade him for Theo Ratliff and a first round pick or something.

MLS: Third rate soccer players playing in front of 7,000 people in 80,000 seat stadums. EXCITING! I actually have watched a bit of Major Indoor League Soccer and I don't care what anybody says, it's not have bad. It's high scoring dammit, that's the American way. Tennis: If only for the fact ESPN has been playing it all day lately. Dammit I want my NFL films on the 1984 Tampa Bay Bucaneers and 1996 Los Angeles Rams! I would say NHL just because it translates so poorly on TV, but I haven't had a chance to see a game live yet so I'll withold from this list until then.

I think the Tigers if they sign Pudge have a very (very) slim shot of winning the AL Central. 82-83 games could very well win that division. Call me crazy but I personally think the Royals are taking the AL Central, sure they don't a good pitching staff but neither do any of the teams in the AL Central. Yeah The Brewers will def. lose 100 games all there guys are the scrap heap of the MLB. Podsednik has great potential but I'm not sure if he'll showcase it on the Brewers for much longer.

If I was the Lakers GM, I'd actually rather do the "rumored" trade between Memphis and LA, Pau Gasol and a 1st round draft pick for Kobe Bryant and Devean George. I'd much rather have Gasol then Pierce. Imagine Gasol at PF, Shaq at center. I also heard another "rumor" about a Chicago- LA Trade, Tyson Chandler, Jamal Crawford and Eddie Robinson for Kobe Bryant and a 2nd round draft pick. Somebody better hire me as GM of a franchise. Is Atlanta hiring yet?

What team do ya think will be this year's equivalent of the Tigers? I don't think they'll lose 119 but I think the Pirates have a legit shot at losing around 108-109 games. When Jason Kendall is your biggest offensive power, you got major major problems.

I think the Celtics should trade Paul Pierce, and Walter McCarthy to the Lakers for Kobe Bryant and a 2nd round draft pick. Pierce could play in his hometown, the Lakers need another clutch roleplayer like Walter. How the Boston crowd would respond to Kobe I don't know but you can build a team around Kobe, you can't build a team around Paul Pierce. Boston fans will respect you if you're winning. It'll never happen but Danny Ainge would be a genius for pulling off a trade like that I got tickets for the Celtics against the Wizards on March 5th. I'm starting to doubt the Celtics will even win that.

I think Celtics will win 35 games this year, 38 tops. They're building for the playoffs next year. What makes me mad is they could have had a playoff team this year if they stayed put.

The Celtics got crushed by the Nets 110-91. Celtics just can't beat the Nets. THEY JUST CAN'T. I'm so glad YES bought the exclusive rights for that game, so I couldn't see it. Celtics Vs Nets is almost turning into a poor man's basketball version of Yankees Vs Red Sox around here, the Nets are the only sports team I truly hate besides the Yankees (Albeit the Nets are a very distant 2nd on that list).

The Clippers looked better on paper than Milwauke or Denver (I knew this would be the year the Griz get good). They got the most underrated player in the game and a few "future stars" (Don't they say that about the Clips roster every year). Besides they're still a few games under .500. I seriously don't think they'll even graze contending for the #8 spot in the West. I think the most surprising team this year (Even though they're losing steam) is the Utah Jazz. Absolutely no one would have thought they would have won 20 games by this point. Jerry Sloan now has to go up there has one of the best NBA coaches of all time. Fun fact: If the playoffs ended today the #8 seed in the East would go to the Philadelphia 76ers who are 6 games under .500

Fuck yeah....The Critic will be mine!

So are some officials at the Department of Human Services. Big Daddy Kemp isn't supporting is 127 illegitamate children.
-
I predict about the same for the Devil Rays this year, 70 games seems just about right. If they were in AL Central I could easily see them win about 75+ games.

The Cs have been looking pretty damn good the past two games, mind you it was against the Heat and Wizards but they didn't lose their cool when those crappy teams were trying to rally. If Ricky Davis keeps on putting up 14 or 15 points a night and Blount keeps putting up Double-Doubles I think the Cs should get the #8 seed in the East easy. Off topic but where's Shawn Kemp? I heard he signed with the Nuggets but I haven't seen him since and he isn't listed. Even though he's a broken down fat fuck, he still had good enough stats to get him a spot on the bench on most teams (About 7 points, 6 rebounds a game)

I picked the Bulls and I guess they're gonna have to rebuild again. In an old Sporting News, it talked about a bunch of different trade situations (They were all BS) for Kobe and one of them was Tyson Chandler, Jamal Crawford and someone els for Kobe Bryant and Devean George. It's never gonna happen but for some reason I think it could work out on both sides. Think about how huge it would be if MJ's successor was playing in the United Center. I may be a crazy homer for thinking this but I think Paul Pierce might be, just might be a bit better than T-Mac. They both got about the same sized talent pool (Which is about as deep as a kiddie pool) yet the Cs are hovering around .500 and might be an #8 seed while the Magic are 20 games below .500.

No...I NEED to see Kwame Brown!

NFL's never had a bad era in my book. If I had to say any I'd say around 90-95 but even that era had that great Bills-Giants SuperBowl.
-
Celtics frikking suck this year. When Pierce sucks, the Celtics play at an Atlanta Hawks level. Too bad I still go tickets to see the Celtics in March (Against the Washington Wizards no less).

One on One= WORST SITCOM EVER!(I'm only counting shows that lasted for more two seasons) Then again I haven't seen Half & Half or Girlfriends. Did anyone notice the Hughleys becoming a LOT less funny when it went on UPN, it wasn't that great but man did it go down when it started airing on UPN.
-
I'd say NBA's worst era was the late 70's before Magic and Bird were drafted, buncha cokeheads running around in short shorts. Magic and Bird saved the league from self destructing. I think the NBA is far better off now than then.
-
I dunno if you look at the league's roster on www.abalive.com, a lot of the guys aren't slouches. DeMarr Johnson (Making a comeback from a broken neck) for example's on Rodman's team. Like I said if I were say the Atlanta Hawks or the Washington Wizards I'd sign Rodman to a 10 day contract in a snap. There's nothing to lose if your the Hawks and you sign Dennis Rodman. If he's still decent, your team gains some cred. If he starts acting crazy, your team sucked anyways and either way you're gonna sell a few hundred if not thousand more tickets.

Hulk Hogan sighting at Dennis Rodman's ABA debut 14-JAN-2004 - LONG BEACH, CA - Dennis Rodman made his anticipated debut with the Long Beach Jam (13-4) of the American Basketball Association (ABA) Friday night in front of a sellout crowd of 4,373 people at the Long Beach Pyramid. With his hair dyed the Jam's colors, Rodman entered the game midway through the first quarter to a standing ovation. Despite being absent from professional basketball since 2000, Rodman muscled his way to 14 rebounds in 130-110 demolition of the Fresno HeatWave. Although they trailed by nine points at the half, the Jam blistered the HeatWave in the third quarter, outscoring the team by 24 points. Long Beach was led by Matt Barnes' 31 points and six rebounds. Fresno's Louis White notched 29 points. With more than 50 media credentials issued to local, national, and international media, Rodman's debut was a worldwide event that lived up to its billing. In one of the many sideshows of the night, Hulk Hogan rose to his feet during the intermission between the third and fourth quarters, removed his leather jacket to reveal his signature yellow shirt, and then ripped it off to the delight of the fans. The first-place Jam are 5-2 on their current eight-game homestand. Cincinnati's DerMarr Johnson is leading the Jam in scoring with 23.1 points per game. Geno Carlisle is the team's second-leading scorer with 22.9 points per game, including a blistering 54 percent (58-107) from three-point range. Jack Hartman has been grabbing a Rodman-esque 16.5 rebounds per game this season and Yuta Tabuse leads the team with 6.5 assist per game. The Jam play the Jersey Squires Sunday. The game is nearing a sellout, so fans are encouraged to order their tickets early. The 36-game ABA 2003-04 season includes seven teams, the Long Beach Jam, Kansas City Knights, Tijuana Diablos, Gallos de Pelea of Juarez, Jersey Squires (Trenton), Las Vegas Rattlers and Fresno HeatWave. The ABA includes unique game rules such as the ã3-Dä rule (when a team loses possession while in the backcourt, the team who acquires possession gains one additional point per field goal÷2-point shot becomes 3, 3-point shots become 4: if a foul occurs, the number of free throws awarded increases by one), and the international basket interference rule (once the ball hits the rim, it is live and any player may make contact with it without being penalized for "goaltending"). Looking at the roster, that league looks a lot more credible than the NBDL. Hell, Master P plays on a team coached by Kobe Bryant's dad. Does anyone think Rodman will play in the NBA? If I was a GM of a team with a grain of credibility I wouldn't hire this guy, but if I GMd say the Atlanta Hawks I'd snap him up in a minute.
