The thing about Brody is his pathetic stories about his personal life are good on occasion but he brings nothing else to the table. Look at Milky, yeah he brings it with the depraved stories but take away the skeeze and he's still a good poster. Do that to Brody and you have absolutely nothing.

    Michael Jackson thread

I don't think we've ever had a thread dedicated to The King of Pop here (well not one that wasn't focused on his alleged boy loving) and since a lot of us had Off The Wall in our ten favorite albums thread I think we're about due. Your favorite album, song, etc. Up until very recently, I wavered between Off The Wall and Thriller as my favorite, eventually deciding that the former was the better album. But in the past few days, I've been listening a lot to Bad. While I don't think it reaches the heights of Off The Wall and the album tracks are pretty lousy, I think it may contain his strongest set of singles. There isn't a bad one in the bunch and most of them are very good to great. It might just be because a lot of Thriller has become way overplayed but I'm thinking Bad is slowly but surely becoming my second favorite Michael Jackson album. I feel Dangerous is also pretty underrated though I think it's here where his looniness and megalomania really starts seeping into his music in a bad way. Its fully set in by HIStory but even that has a few moments. I haven't really listened to Invincible all that much though "You Rock My World" was a fairly neat.

King of the Ring: The Middle Years

I don't know if the same rang true for everybody's wrestling rumor mills down at the playground but I think Yokozuna was a rumored new member for virtually every stable (WWF or WCW) from approximately 1996 to 1999. One of my buddies even thought Yokozuna was going to be the third man at Bash at The Beach '96.

    Michael Jackson thread

Venturing into The Jackson 5 catalog, I realize that they're like most bubblegum pop bands. Plenty of good-great singles but very little else. Destiny is a solid precursor to Michael's solo career though. I think I prefer The Jacksons to The Jackson 5...and yes there is a (slight) difference!

I suggested this to gary floyd (I think it was gary floyd) and I figured I'd bring it up to the whole party. I think almost all of us can agree that Brody's schtick is getting tiresome. Even the anecdotes from his pathetic life are getting kind of dull. My suggestion to this is we ban him and then bring him back once every other year or so for a few months when we start to miss his sub Milkian stories of sexual depravity and wacky pictures of him and his weird, backward looking kinfolk. What I'm trying to say is he's the quintessential poster best enjoyed in small doses. Though maybe we should wait to see how this Russian Bride saga pans out...

Worst Year Ever for Pro Wrestling

In-ring product...It has to be 1995. Has to be. The first eight months or so of the year were just downright brutal for WWF and WCW. I was obsessed with wrestling for virtually my entire childhood and adolescence (and to a lesser extent, now as an adult) and even I tuned out around the time of King of The Ring that year. Overall...probably 2007. There's no way that the Benoit murder-suicide isn't the darkest event in wrestling history. The wrestling wasn't terrible but everything that happened out of the ring pretty much was.
  7. Well, Cops and Robbersons, Nothing But Trouble, and Oh Heavenly Dog show us that Chevy Chase is no arbiter of cinematic quality. Speaking of Chevy, has anybody read the authorized biography on him that came out a year or so ago? I'm really curious to read it given all of the stuff I've read about him being a massive asshole.

Boy, somehow the pbone-EHME feud is worse than the bob barron-EHME feud. I couldn't think of a feud that I would care less about than EHME and pbone beefing. EHME, my man, stop dragging yourself into shitty feuds. Fake edit: Wrong thread?

    Michael Jackson thread

Shut up limey. Thriller and Off The Wall (and to a lesser extent, Bad) are two of the most acclaimed pop albums of their era. Granted, he hasn't recorded a good album in twenty years and I don't have high hopes for a comeback but saying he has so few critically acclaimed songs is just dumb.

TSM Profile Tag Team Edition: Demolition

Funny anecdote I misunderstood that lyric for a while as a kid as "Here comes the ass smash." Great theme music like Cheech said, it's definitely up there with "Real American", Ted DiBiase's theme, and The Fabulous Rougeaus theme in terms of best themes of the era. Many thinking about it, WWF really knew how to produce entrance music back then. I'm having a hard time thinking of bad ones.

TSM Profile Tag Team Edition: Demolition

I think Demolition would have worked well in the Attitude era with a little bit of tweaking. I think straight up ass kickers will work regardless of era. To get a bit off topic but I think the problem with LOD during The Attitude era was they looked really weak in their feud against The New Age Outlaws. They looked like a bunch of washed up old farts (which they were, to be fair) instead of the unstoppable badasses yesteryear and repackaging them as LOD 2000 only really made things worse.

Oh and I still this TMC guy is stealing my thunder in General Wrestling. Hardly anybody's responded to my Demolition thread! I might have to fight him.

I don't know it probably is extremely foolish for me to expect professionalism from live Stones performances. But none of The Stones' live albums from their heyday really did anything for me. As for worst Stones album...it's got to be Dirty Work. Anything before has its moments and anything after is too bland to be egregiously bad.

I can't remember a feud involving Bob Barron that I liked (though I like Bob Barron) and I can't remember a feud involving EHME I liked except the one with Dandy. So this is the ultimate in bad TSM e-feuds.

It sounds like blasphemy but having seen Gimme Shelter and having listened to numerous Stones live albums from the '60s and '70s, I have to say that they're way better live now than they were in their heyday.

"Emotional Rescue" is perhaps the most divisive song in the Rolling Stones canon. Personally, I'd put in my Top 10 Favorite Stones songs but my dad would demand that I change the channel whenever that song came on the local classic rock station when we were in the car.

Yeah, this guy's pretty good. He's going a little bit crazy starting threads. Is there anyway we can put a limit on that? There's no reason that anyone (newbie or established poster) should start more than five threads in twenty four hours.

    Let's Spend The Thread Together

It's hard for me to pick a favorite Stones era. I like almost everything they did up until Undercover (yes I'm the guy who likes that album). My favorite album is Sticky Fingers. I was this close to putting it on my ten favorite albums list earlier this week. Like with most of my favorite bands, my favorite song changes basically from day to day. Right now, my favorite is "Dandelion". I heard that one on Sirius/XM's '60s station a couple months ago and was amazed at how well The Stones could pull off psychadelic pop. Though as a whole, Their Satanic Majesties Request is far from my favorite Stones album. I don't think The Stones continuing on into their old age hasn't really helped or hurt their career. While their output over the past twenty five years is no great shakes, they haven't really compromised their integrity or bent over backwards to get Top 40 play like Aerosmith or Rod Stewart. I mean I wouldn't put them up there with Neil Young or Bob Dylan on the list of great fogey rockers but they're certainly not an embarrassment.

    What Killed "SNICK" for You?

I grew up is the best answer but to be specific, I stopped watching it regularly around the time Keenan and Kel left All That.

    Frozen Foods

You can't pony up the extra 20 cents? Well I didn't say I wasn't still buying them. Just mildly disappointed that they raised the price. I've never gotten why mozzarella sticks are as expensive as they are. It's not like they're using really good mozzarella or anything.

I'm glad I somehow restrained myself from drunken posting last night. Lord knows we could have lived without seeing me pick a e-fight with EHME or call Byron The Bulb a faggot.
