Yeah, Regal came back to WCW in May or June of '99. He stayed until February '00 when he lost a "Loser Leaves Town" match against Duggan. He teamed with Dave Taylor and was pretty much JTTS material for the run. Though I remember an odd, brief threeway WCW Saturday Night exclusive feud between The Blue Bloods, Scott and Steve Armstrong, and "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan and Erik Watts.

Heh- that was one of those rare moments that I called bullshit on when I was a mark. Kidding aside- I'm sure S.D. Jones is hanging out with Joey Maggs, Rick McGraw, and Frankie Williams tonight in the great wrestling arena in the sky.

I saw it opening weekend. Thought the first two-thirds of the movie were pretty damn good but then it just kind of ended. I sort of expected that since there's really no good way to end a biopic of someone who is still alive and presumably isn't about to kick the bucket. There were definitely quite a few dark comic elements but I wouldn't classify it as a dark comedy.

I honestly can't remember who won (thought it's safe to assume it was me!), I was just amused that she picked to play as, who my brothers and I deemed, "the wrestling nerd". Another guy I thought sucked for the longest time and I'm still not sure why was Billy Kidman. I came around to him around after he left The Flock in '98 but I hated the guy for some reason as a dweeby babyface and in the Flock.

I dropped off my absentee ballot at City Hall last Monday. Decided to vote for Nader. Obama's going to win Maine by 10-15% so I thought "what the hell?" I guess this gives me something in common with Marv.

I never got why they didn't release the second one in theaters. Sure no one would have predicted how freakishly popular the first one would become but I'm sure they had an idea that the second one would make a shitton of money especially since they can't cost that much money.

I really thought IRS was terrible as a kid but now I've come to realize that Rotunda was a pretty good if somewhat bland worker saddled with a terrible gimmick. He was also the target of much scorn from my younger brother and I after my mom picked to play as him after we somehow roped her into playing Royal Rumble on the Sega Genesis with me..

Bushwhackers Vs Briscoe Brothers! BOOK IT!

When I was a mark, I always just thought Kama was a boxing gimmick. It wasn't until they signed Ken Shamrock a couple years later that I realized that it was a shootfighter gimmick. As for Disco, yeah he was the epitome of average workrate wise but he's a damn entertaining comedy worker. Yeah, nobody should have let him anywhere near the book or the main event but he was a perfectly acceptable mid-card guy.

Is there any truth to the rumor that Lanny Poffo was the dude in The Wild Cat Willie costume? Sounds like it's B.S. but I love to think its true anyways.
-
Yeah, you're probably right. I'd hate to write someone off after one bad album but I'm game after two.
-
Ain't this the truth. Songs For Silverman is no longer the worst Ben Folds album. I'll grant that this is more ambitious than that but this falls flat on its face hard. He lays it on way too thick with the goofy shit. That said, I'll listen to it a couple more times to see if my mind changes.

I think it's time for someone to post the wonderful video Kinetic made dedicated to the man.

Who was Duke Dory? Former heel announcer in the WWF

Venkman, it's a well known open secret that you're Scott Keith's BUTT boy! We've all heard about you commenting on his blog! -
Hey now! I still kind of like Robbie Williams. I mean I don't own any of his albums but I'd probably buy a reasonably priced Greatest Hits compilation. And I don't even have the excuse of being British.

I think the denizens of this thread might enjoy some perspective from someone who lives somewhere that neither has a major league sports team or a big college team. So here I am. 1. Boston Red Sox (Patriots might have had this crown for a while in the mid to late '90s when Parcells was coaching and for a year or two after the '01 season and the first Super Bowl win but other than that, The Sox have been #1 as far back as I can remember.) 2. New England Patriots (Have been a fairly close 2nd since Parcells came in. Before that, I imagine they ranked somewhere between the local minor league hockey team and The UMaine Women's basketball team) 3. Boston Celtics (Fell quite a bit during the post Bird era but they've been a solid #3 since they made the '02 Eastern Conference Finals. Will probably never surpass the Red Sox or Patriots up here though.) 4. UMaine Men's Hockey (Were incredibly popular around here for about a minute and a half during their National Championship run in '99. They'll always have a strong niche fanbase and sell out their yearly game in Portland.) 5. Portland Sea Dogs ( The Red Sox AA affliate. Wildly popular during the summer, regardless of their record. People just love going to minor league baseball games just for the sake of going to minor league baseball games. How popular they are outside of that depends on their record.) 6. Boston Bruins (Despite the fact that they've played a couple of pre-season games here in the past decade or so, I could probably count on one hand the number of Bruins fans I know.) 7. UMaine Women's Basketball (They were surprisingly popular in the latter half of the '90s and the first few years of the '00s when they were making the NCAA Tournament every year. Still got a few leftover fans from those days.) 8. Portland Pirates ( Buffalo Sabres minor league affliate. They were kind of popular when they first showed up in the mid '90s and won a Calder Cup in their first season but the reaction to them has been kind of apathetic since. I blame it on the fact that they've changed their NHL affliate three times in the past three or four years.) 9. UMaine Football (They've produced a few NFL players but I don't think anybody really cares about them. The fact that they're I-AA and not particularly good doesn't help. But hey they beat Mississippi State a couple years back and have managed to not get blown out by most of the I-A teams they've faced so huzzah! They do manage to draw half-decent crowds when they play in Portland though which puts them ahead of...) 10. UMaine Men's Basketball/Baseball (Again, both have produced pros but I don't think anybody really cares about either of these teams but they might if they were actually decent for a change.)

I believe mine was Queen- Innuendo. Either that or The Jacksons Live. Those two were my favorites when I was 7. Are we counting CDs we bought with our parents money? If it's first CD I bought with my own money, I have absolutely no idea.

Leprechaun 3 and both of the Leprechaun in The Hood ones are highly entertaining guilty pleasures. Leprechaun In Space isn't as nearly as entertaining as it sounds... I was thisclose to wondering why Angela Bassett agreed to be in that one until I realized I was confusing it with the not entirely dissimilar Critters 4 (which not only starred her but also apparently had Brad Douriff in it).

Rudy Ray Moore, dead at 81. Like many, I first learned of the man's work through the seminal classic House Party. I'm adding and bumping up Disco Godfather to the top of my NetFlix queue in honor of his passing.

Hercules looks like he could be The Sklar Brothers' dad in that picture Brody posted.

I disagree. September is generally really shitty but October sees the first few Oscar contenders come out. For my money, January and February is probably the worst two month period for movies. Sure The Oscar contenders are still typically hanging out in theaters but the vast majority of other stuff is crap.

W was pretty good. I'd say it was about two-thirds of a really good movie then it just sort of trailed off. But really how the hell else are you going to end a biopic based on someone who's still alive?

All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft
King Kamala replied to PILLS! PILLS! PILLS!'s topic in Draft Faggotry
Yeah I've had a shitton of work and personal issues the past week or two and now I'm taking a long weekend break at home. So I'll likely have my cards' results up sometime next weekend. Some feedback would be nice to. -
Man am I uppset...I just saw a commercial for a show by the local NWA affliate with Koko B. Ware and La Parka on the card and I CAN'T GO! This promotion also has a legit 7 footer with a pharoh gimmick on the roster. I expect him to be snapped up by 'E in the near future.
