Yeah, the franchise operated restaurants will still be open but the corporate run restaurants are done. I really didn't care for Ruby Tuesday's the one time I went there. Nine times out of ten, I'll take a fast food place over any of those sit down chains. It's the same crap for the most part anyways, just slightly higher quality and marked up $5.

Well yeah, like any fast food burgers, Wendy's are incredibly inconsistant. On the rare occassion that I do order a burger there, I aim low and get one off the value menu. The real draw of Wendy's is The Value Menu and The Frostys.

It's astonishing how much WCW screwed up in '98. That was, in my mind, the greatest roster in professional wrestling history. The only ones that come close are some of the WWF rosters of the mid 80s and the WWF/E roster around '02. There were so many paths WCW could have taken that would have made them serious mint and they took almost none of them. I know we all love to bitch about the current product, be it WWE or TNA but there will never ever be a more frustrating wrestling promotion than World Championship Wrestling. Reading about its downfall is somehow simultaneously amusing, enfuriating, and depressing. I guess the AWA's demise came close but their downfall was a gradual process over the course of six or so years while WCW went from the hottest wrestling company in the world to going out of business in a little under three.

The burgers are alright. I probably like them the best out of the big three (Heck, Wendy's is by far my favorite overall out of the big three). If you really want to man up, I'd recommend the 3/4 pound Triple Cheeseburger.

All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft

I did a fantasy booking for WrestleMania 25 on another board (ironically, I did it shortly before WrestleMania 24). All I remember was a Cena-Batista main event and The Undertaker/HBK Hell In The Cell II. The former is probably happening in some form at SummerSlam and the latter is probably not that good of an idea.

All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft

I asked this question earlier and didn't get a response...can two draftees pick different venues in the same city? Let's say I want to pick a popular independent wrestling venue in Philadelphia (trying not to drop names), would you not allow it because Steviekick's already picked The Spectrum? Edit: Aw- wasn't quick enough with my fingers. Now I'm getting nightmares from 6th grade Computer Skills class when the teacher berated me for typing like an ape. Damn you Mr. Robbins! Damn you to hell! -
Giamatti and Philip Seymour Hoffman would be my top two choices for The Penguin. Despite their "indie cred", they both have played villains in major action movies. And according to this article---it doesn't seem like Catwoman or The Penguin will be the villain in the next one.

Hmm, this sounds like the next Little Hercules in 3D.

I want to see it simply because Casper Van Dien is bad ass as Johnny Rico...however I'm disappointed there is no Jake Busey in here...like I said at another forum, it's not like he has anything better going on. Geez- I wonder why the hell he wasn't in it. It's not like he hasn't been in crap direct to DVD sequels before. Did he really think that was a less worthy project than Road House 2 or The Hitcher II?

Well I only went there once (We never got them up in Maine) and while it was decent enough for that type of restaurant, I'm definitely not shedding tears over its demise. I save those for the closing of local hole in the wall places.

I watched a bit of Anaconda 3 on the Sci-Fi Channel the other night. John Rhys-Davis played an eccentric billionaire who hired a team of mercenaries by David Hasslehoff to capture the anaconda after it escaped from a top secret lab. The CGI was weak, even by Sci Fi Network original standards. And hey, Anaconda 4 is coming in December!

All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft

Actually even The Job Squad is almost entirely off the board. I know for a fact Al Snow, Too Cold Scorpio and Hardcore Holly have been taken and I'm almost positive The Blue Meanie has been taken as well. -

The stable decision just doesn't really make sense at this point. Like Franchise pointed out, there can't be that many stables left. The rule's introduced way too late in the game to have any sort of effect. Of course, I could always be proven wrong and there could be an amazing stable left on the board that slipped my mind. -
Weekend boxoffice report July 25-27
King Kamala replied to Youth N Asia's topic in Television & Film
Well I think it's one of those things that's technically a rule but the chances of you getting thrown out for breaking it are very slim. There's only one theater that explicity mentions this as a rule and that's the theater we go to 75% of the time. Come to think of it, that theater is the one with the most laid back, don't give a shit employees and I couldn't see them throwing out anybody. It was the theater I always went to see R movies before I turned 17 because they never carded. Ah, those were the days. -

Heh- I always have a friend who sticks his feet up against the back of the chair in front of him immedietely following the moment in the rules spiel thingy during the trailers where they tell you not to put your feet up against the seat. -
Wow, I thought I was the only who liked the angle where Goldberg was forced to recreate the streak. OK, I'll admit the angle was full of gaping plot holes (Why didn't babyface commissioner Ric Flair just end the shenanigans? Wasn't the WCW roster a third of the size it was during Goldberg's first streak?) and it wasn't the most original idea but the only time Goldberg was really interesting to me was during the streak. The angle had a convoluted ending but I had enjoyed the ride up until then.

Yes, it's similar to what Roeper said in his review. I actually watched that review a few days before that post so I must confess to the subconscious plagarism. -
All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft
King Kamala replied to PILLS! PILLS! PILLS!'s topic in Draft Faggotry
Yeah I reread Mellow's post and figured that I should go. I'm as easily confused as my screen namesake at times. Anyways, with Jim Duggan and The Patriot on my roster, I've decided that my roster should have an evil foreigner and my next pick is easily the best evil foreigner available at this point. Though he's remembered by current fans as more of a tag team specialist (He was a part of three memorable WWWF/WWF tag teams), he also had a highly successful solo career. He was a rare breed of wrestler who managed to thrive in both the more serious, straightforward '70s WWWF and the cartoonish Rock 'N' Wrestling era WWF. He's a former WWF Tag Team Champion and a member of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of '05. With my 29th pick in the All Time Wrestling Roster Draft, I'm proud to select... ...Nikolai Volkoff The confused and indignant look he got on his face whenever the audience booed his singing of the Soviet National Anthem always gave me a chuckle. -

I think you jumped the gun. Drury doesn't owe any picks IIRC (or maybe for some odd reason, we're counting the Lelani Kai pick?) -
WCW never really properly utilized Goldberg. He was clearly the most over guy on the roster in the last two or three years in the company but WCW never gave him the ball and let him run with it. He always seemed to be in the shadow of Hogan or Nash or Sting. I'm trying to think of how many shows Goldberg main evented in WCW and the number is surprisingly low. There was Halloween Havoc '98 (While he was in the last match, most of the focus was on Hogan/Warrior II), Starrcade '98, Souled Out '99, Halloween Havoc '99 (And here he was a surprise entrant in the main event), and Starrcade '99.

Am I alone in thinking that Paul Giamatti would make a fantastic Penguin?

I am, as Dusty Rhodes would say, flubbergasted by this last chain of posts.
