I liked both. Bulletproof mostly because it was the 2nd or 3rd R rated movie I saw but I legitmately enjoy Little Nicky. My least favorite Adam Sandler movies are Click and Eight Crazy Nights but the worst is probably Mr. Deeds. He hasn't made a movie I've enjoyed in the past five years or so.

All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft
King Kamala replied to PILLS! PILLS! PILLS!'s topic in Draft Faggotry
Ooh nice pick there, Cranda. I'm also going to go with a star of the 80s. My next pick is going to primarily used as "Superstar" Billy Graham's lackey/muscle in my federation. This man is without a doubt IMHO, the most underrated heel of the 80s and one of the most underrated heels of all time. He played a small but crucial role in the Rock 'N' Wrestling Era of the mid 80s. No one was better at playing the arrogant, slightly aloof heel than him. He was The Rock when Dwayne Johnson was merely a pebble. This man is a two time former WWF Intercontinental Champion, a former NWA Florida Heavyweight Champion, a former Stampede North American Heavyweight Champion, and a two time former ECW World Champion. For my 8th selection and the 140th selection overall, I'm proud to select... "The Rock" Don Muraco -
Hell yes! This is the best news I've heard today. There's no reason why D Lo shouldn't be a mid-card/upper mid-card guy on Smackdown! From the semi recent stuff I've seen of him, he can still go as well as he did at his peak.

The Worst Wrestling Show of All-Time
King Kamala replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in General Wrestling
I think I should commemorate WCW's amazing stretch of mediocre to bad PPVs.From Slamboree '99 to New Blood Rising, WCW did not produce a single PPV that was better than mediocre. That's sixteen crappy PPVs in a row. Say what you want about the current product but that kind of streak is never happening again. Mercifully, the streak was broken by the slightly above average Fall Brawl '00. But the crappiness returned in full force with Halloween Havoc '00, which rivals SuperBrawl X and Uncensored 2000 for the worst WCW show of that year. -
There weren't many guys that I outright thought sucked as a kid (Hell I'll admit Giant Gonzalez scared the shit out of me as a mark). Certainly, some guys were a lot better than others and some guys didn't do anything for me at all but I bought that the B.S. mantra that the guys I saw in WWF and WCW were the best in the world. However, even as a 10 year old renting Survivor Series '89, I realized that Zeus really couldn't hang with The Hulkster and the rest of the bunch. I don't think he ever displayed a wrestling hold in his brief run in the WWF. I just remember watching him and thinking "Wow- this guy is really big and menacing...wow this guy sucks"

All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft

I was just telling bps on AIM a couple hours ago about how I was surprised that Malenko hadn't been drafted yet. I was wondering when a former PWI 500 winner would be given some respect and from whom? Good choice there, Hawk. And great choice by TheFranchise too. I was hoping Dory would slip under the radar for another round or two so I could snatch him. -

Ah crap. The Crusher was one of the guys I was considering for an opponent against Graham. Nice choice there, Hawk. ROLL OUT DA BARREL! -
I thought Faith No More guy was in the front row for tonight's show but on second look, it appeared to be music producer and founder of 80s one hit wonders Was (Not Was), Don Was. The fact that the show was in LA seemed to verify this.

This is a rockin' little TV match.

Let's Talk About...Vince Russo's first stint booking WCW
King Kamala posted a topic in General Wrestling
It's time for the return of TSM's General Wrestling Folder's favorite semi-regular feature, Let's Talk About... Today, we'll be talking about the first of Vince Russo's short stints at the helm of WCW's writing staff. The stint lasted from (and correct me if I'm wrong) the October 11th, 1999 edition of Monday Nitro to shortly before the Souled Out '00 PPV in January. Now this run tends to get overshadowed by the craziness of Russo's second stint running the show in WCW but this first stint has its own fair share of Russorific crap. Honestly at the very beginning, I kind of liked what Russo was doing. It may not have been good wrestling but it was semi-interesting television and it was a hell of a lot better than the stuff WCW was doing from May to September of '99. There was some decent stuff from that era. For the first time in his entire run in WCW, Bret Hart got a consistant push and was backing that up with some of the best matches he had in WCW. Russo also pushed La Parka and Chavo Guerrero Jr's Amway Salesman gimmick is one of my favorite guilty pleasures in wrestling (and probably 10X more entertaining than anything he's done in the past four years or so). Halloween Havoc '99 and Mayhem '99 while not really great wrestling shows are interesting trainwrecks. While he wasn't totally exposed as a hack during that run (that would come in his second run), there sure was a lot of crap. For one, he completely destroyed the Cruiserweight division and it never really recovered. His utter contempt for the division really showed. with everything from Oklahoma and Madusa swapping the title to the luchadors fighting over a pinata to randomly jobbing out the visiting Jushin Thunder Liger. Just terrible. And then there was the vague, uninteresting Corporation knockoff, Powers That Be faction that went on to be replaced by the even lamer nWo revival. As I've pointed out before on this board,Russo seemed to have a thing for lame half-baked stables, especially in his WCW run. It seemed like Russo became incredibly desparate after it became clear that there was no quick fix for WCW's woes and was willing to do anything to fix them. Did we really need to see nWo 2000 only about six months or so after the tired as hell nWo was finally put to pasture? If I could describe Russo's run in WCW in one word it would be desperation. He was absolutely desparate to prove that he was behind the vast majority of WWF's late 90s success. Problem was WCW was not WWF. Russo's Crash TV style, while mildly intriguing at first, grew more tired and tired every week. By the time, he was canned and replaced by the even worse short lived Kevin Sullivan regime, you would think WCW would have learned their lesson... What are you thoughts on the first months following Vince Russo's jump from WWF to WCW? Apologists and haters alike, let's talk about WCW from October '99 to January '00. -

Halloween Havoc '95 sounds like a good suggestion to me. I'd probably be more available to do this during a weeknight. What's other people's availability? -

JBL was the other current guy I was surprised hadn't been picked yet. JBL was also the guy I was considering instead of Gino for my seventh pick to feud with Kerry. Damn, I actually wanted Simmons as a singles or with Doom. -
The Worst Wrestling Show of All-Time
King Kamala replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in General Wrestling
Years ago but I'm having a hard time remembering any specifics. Hollywood Hogan teamed up with Bret Hart which is kind of odd and they faced...uh....*checks DDT Digest* Roddy Piper and Randy Savage. It was also the show where Juvy fought Reese. Looking at the card on paper now, I'm sure the undercard was decent but the last few matches stunk on ice. That last sentence describes virtually every WCW PPV from '96 to '98. -

Still two guys that are surprisingly undrafted IMHO. One's current, one's old school. I expect the current guy to go in the next few picks. The old school guy I really hope will fall down to me. -

Well there goes my Fake Diesel pick I was planning on for the next round... Btw, Kane was one of the two current superstars that I was surprised haven't been picked yet that I was referring to a couple posts back. -

I remember that. I thought Barron was insinuating that there was a Part 3.

There's another one? I thought he answered all of the questions.

There was another semi-current guy I was thisclose to picking as he'd be considered by most to be an absolute steal at this point but Gino's a better choice for what I'm trying to go for. -

I think I know who you're talking about but I'm going to have to pass him up. I was going to do a punny joke with said guy but I don't want to get Mellow upset with me again. For my next pick, I wanted someone to pair up against Kerry Von Erich. My next pick like Kerry, is a treasure of the Lone Star State and like Kerry left us all too soon. In his short time in the business, he paved the way for the likes of "Ravishing" Rick Rude and Shawn Michaels amongst many others. His rivalries with The Von Erichs, Jose Lothario, and The Freebirds packed arenas and stadiums across Texas in the early and mid 80s. He's a three time NWA Americas Heavyweight Champion, a six time NWA Texas Heavyweight Champion, a five time NWA American Tag Team Champion, and a two time SCW World Tag Team Champion... With my seventh pick and the 111th pick in the All Time Wrestling Roster Draft, I select... Gino Hernandez! -

I feel like I'm getting away with murder with this pick. I don't know how others feel about him and maybe I'm the only but this guy I'm picking should have gone rounds ago. For my next pick, I wanted someone who could go up against Flair and I don't think there's anybody on this board better than who I'm about to select. He was up there with Flair as one of the finest workers of the 80s. Like Flair, he wrestled into his 50s but unlike a lot of men who wrestle into that age, he was still capable of a 60 minute four star classic. In fact, one could argue he got even better as he got older. His feuds with the likes of Hulk Hogan, Jerry Lawler, Curt Hennig, and Verne Gagne riveted wrestling fans in the 60s, 70s and 80s. And he even managed to gain a bit of notoriety amongst non-wrestling fans with guest shots on The Monkees, Hawaii Five-O,and Hollywood Squares in the late 60s. I'm not sure if he or Flair ever squared off against each other, but a match between the two would be money. Two masters of the squared circle facing off for the top spot. It'd be an old school fan's dream. This man is a four time AWA World Champion, a former AWA Tag Team Champion, and a member of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of '07 as well as a member of The Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame Class of '03 and Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame Class of '96... With my sixth pick and the 104th pick overall in the All Time Wrestling Roster draft, I select... Nick Bockwinkel! -
