I honestly didn't see Douglas going till the fourth or fifth round but I'd love to see a feud between Triple H circa '00 Vs Shane Douglas circa '95. I guess Shane would be a defacto babyface (if I were booking it, which I'm not) as the jilted ex big-timer facing off with Vince McMahon's future son-in-law.

It's got to be King of The Ring '95. When the MOTN is "Spark Plugg" Bob Holly Vs The Roadie, you know it's a pretty terrible show.

Rock solid choice there, mellow. I was considering them to be my first tag team pick but unless everybody starts picking tag teams, I'm not going to pick a tag team until at least the third round.

My dad always bought us Wal-Mart brand soda because it was like half the price of Coke or Pepsi. You could get like a two liter for 79 cents and a twelve pack for $2 or something. Good ol' Dr. Thunder. Dr. Thunder wasn't quite as good as Dr. Pepper but for 35 cents at the vending machine, it did the job. Mountain Lightning on the other hand sucked. If you thought Mountain Dew was redneck nectar, imagine Wal Mart's Mountain Dew knockoff. Ye gods. The only other memory I have of Wal-Mart brand soda was buying a twelve pack of Wal Mart Root Beer for our camp and leaving it there during the winter and the cans bursting and leaving a huge mess in that fridge. On my next visit to Wal-Mart, I think I'm going to have to get some Dr. Thunder for old time's sake.

Alright, I'm thinking Thursday Night 8 P.M. for this thing. I'm trying to find a torrent of Great American Bash '99 but I can't seem to find one anywhere.

Let me tell you something my friend. You can't find Mr. Pibb or Pibb Extra until you hit Connecticut and its apperances are sporadic until you hit the Beltway area. I make sure to grab a couple twelve packs on every vacation I take down south. There is one odd exception. I can get it at Regal Cinemas for some reason but with all of the new theaters with stadium seating, Pibb isn't enough to drive me there.

I haven't seen it since it happened but I vaguely remember liking the Chris Benoit/Jeff Jarrett ladder match. Then again, like with The Royal Rumble, I haven't seen a ladder match that I haven't at least kind of liked. But yeah Starrcade '99 was a terrible show. Again, something that hasn't been brought up enough IMO in this thread is how Russo killed the cruiserweight division during his first stint there. Even in the most dire times before, you could usually count on a good cruiserweight match. Not with Russo. It only semi-recovered during Chavo's run with the belt after Russo left and by then WCW was almost dead anyways.

Steamboat was also on a shortlist of about five wrestlers I was considering for my next pick. Ah well! Visions of Steamboat-Flair are dashed! Dashed I say.

On the subject of Taco Bell, I really enjoy their new value menu. Its threatening to steal the crown from Wendy's who has had the Best Value Menu title since as far back as I can remember.

Is anybody else kind of surprised that The Warrior hasn't been taken yet? I know he's not really popular amongst the IWC but I really thought he'd go late in the first round or early in the second round for some reason. I'm also a bit surprised Randy Orton hasn't been taken yet as I'd have him around that range at well. There are some other people I'm surprised haven't been drafted but I'm not going to mention them since I want to draft them myself.

Absolutely no semblence till '95? I'm sorry cabbageboy but I flat out disagree with you here. I thought when he came back in late '93- that he was destined for places higher than the IC title scene. But you're right- there was no way you could tell he was going to be what he would turn out to be back in the AWA days. Anyways back to the subject at hand- these past few shows have had a whole lot of washed up Barron Von Raschke and a whole lot of Ricky Rice. No wonder why they went out of business a couple of years later. And is anybody else morbidly curious to see the Team Challenge Series? The stuff they're airing now is just boring bad, I'm hoping with The Team Challenge Series, we'll get some amusingly bad stuff.

The beginning of it all

Glad I have a laptop. Amusingly enough, I do own a copy of Heroes of Wrestling. Anyways, seeing how we're discussing that era of WCW so much, we'll do Great American Bash '99 first. Sometime next week. I swear we'll pick a good PPV for our next one.

As the #4 pick in the TSM All Time Wrestling Roster draft, I select... "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair WHOO! Quite simply "The Man". Is excellent as both a face and a heel. He can adapt to almost any style and can carry almost any wrestler to a decent match. Sure, he's a bit formulaic but 98.4% of the time that formula worked well. Can have a good match with almost any type of worker be they a wild brawler (Terry Funk), a technician (Bret Hart), or a power wrestler(Hulk Hogan, Lex Luger). Is excellent as both a babyface and a heel. Even though there are others who may be more recognizable, Ric Flair is my #1 choice to build a promotion around. WHOOO!

Here's one I've never seen before surprisingly... Bret Hart Vs Yokozuna (Steel Cage match) Probably Yoko's best match. Gorilla Monsoon and Johnny Polo were an underrated announce team.

I'm thinking of doing these on Sundays when TNA and WWE aren't holding PPVs. Good idea? Bad? Indifferent?
