There have been rumors that Test is going to be at Genesis. If true, I would expect him to be Raven's opponent.

I remember the first time I saw Eddie wrestle. It was also the first time I saw ECW. It was a tag match with Eddie & Taz vs. Malenko & 2 Cold Scorpio, the one where Taz hurt his neck. When I saw Eddie & Dean in there, it just blew me away. The stuff they were doing wasn't really anything special by today's standards, but to me, as a ten-year-old fan, it was amazing. Anyway, Eddie scored the pin with some strange rollup move, I don't know the name of it, but I knew right then, this guy was awesome. I was very excited when he went to WCW a few months later, but despite how entertaining he was, he sort of floundered around, lost in the shuffle. The he went to WWE and somehow became a huge star. Truthfully, even though he had the talent, he was never the kind of guy I could see as a World champion, mainly because of his size. But he did it and he was great at it. So, thank you, Eddie, for all the memories, and rest in peace.

I've always found it strange when people do fantasy booking and they time the match right down to the seconds. They don't do that in real life, you know, unless it's something like the Styles/Daniels finish.

"I know I'm not supposed to be talking here," it was Hunter. "maybe I'm out of line here, but what kind of business is that? Who in the world says, 'I don't want to rop the belt'? You helped him to get a better deal there and he is leaving. That isn't right. That's b.s. HOw in the world can you trust him? This is the same guy who while he was off, after dropping the title to Shawn, went behind yoru back and negotiated a deal with WCW only to come back and renogotiate a twenty-year way-out-of-bounds contract with you. He has not done good business since, and now he is leaving to get even more money, by you giving them the impression that you wanetd to keep nhim. We have people leaving in the middle of the night and taking thier belts and dropping them in trash cans on WCW. [This was in reference to former women's champion Alundra Blayze, who had done that.] We can't afford for that to happen with the World Wrestling Federation Championship!" Yeah, I'm sure HHH cuts promos like that in phone conversations.

Make it Benoit vs Joe vs Daniels Iron Man match and you would have the highest rate TNA PPV in the history of the company!!!!!!!!111111one1111111eleven11! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, you probably would. I mean, TNA's buy rates haven't exactly been impressive so far.

Make J. Peterman WWE Champion?
-
WWE ratings are down because of the popularity of Desperate Housewives. They will improve once fans see Candice Michelle's latest GoDaddy ad.
-
But JBL was definitely a worse draw than Eddie, I'm not denying that.
-
Actually, ratings did go slightly down during Eddie's reign. I'd attribute that more to his feud with the he-was-a-tag-team-midcarder-last-week-but-hey-look-he's-a-main-eventer-now JBL than anything else. I mean, look at the 2004 Smackdown ratings. You'll se as the JBL/Eddie feud heated up, the show fell solidly into the 2.9-3.1 range, rarely going higher: (The different colors denote different champions - Lesnar, Eddie, and JBL) January 1, 2004 2.8 January 8, 2004 3.6 January 15, 2004 3.4 January 22, 2004 3.6 January 29, 2004 3.6 February 5, 2004 3.4 February 12, 2004 3.5 February 19, 2004 3.5 February 26, 2004 3.5 March 4, 2004 3.3 March 11, 2004 3.1 March 18, 2004 3.6 March 25, 2004 3.3 April 1, 2004 3.2 April 8, 2004 3.0 April 15, 2004 2.9 April 22, 2004 3.1 April 29, 2004 3.1 May 6, 2004 2.8 May 13, 2004 3.1 May 20, 2004 2.9 May 27, 2004 2.9 June 3, 2004 3.3 June 10, 2004 3.0 June 17, 2004 3.0 June 24, 2004 3.1 July 1, 2004 3.2 July 8, 2004 3.1 July 15, 2004 3.3 July 22, 2004 3.2 July 29, 2004 3.1 August 5, 2004 3.3 August 12, 2004 2.6 August 19, 2004 3.1 August 26, 2004 3.1 September 2, 2004 2.5 September 9, 2004 2.6 September 16, 2004 3.2 September 23, 2004 3.2 September 30, 2004 2.7 October 7, 2004 3.4 October 14, 2004 3.4 October 21, 2004 3.2 October 28, 2004 3.5 November 4, 2004 3.3 November 11, 2004 3.3 November 18, 2004 3.7 November 25, 2004 2.7 December 2, 2004 3.4 December 9, 2004 3.5 December 16, 2004 3.5 December 23, 2004 2.9

OK, that's good. Because according to a link a saw at The Pit, they're going to be calling him "Chris Jin".
-
Actually, I don't think ECW tademarked any of their wrestlers' names. Vince is able to lay claim to the Dudley name by calling it ECW intellectual property but that doesn't make sense either since if it was ECW property, how were they allowed to use it when the entered WWF in '99?
-
I don't think Batista would be a bad choice to end Taker's streak, but he doesn't need the win. They should wait until there's someone who can really benefit from beating Taker at Wrestlemania. That said, whether it's the right decision or not, I could see Batista ending the streak. By the way, was there anything to the rumor from a few weeks ago that Vince was considering giving Ken Kennedy a main event match at WM?
-
Oh wow, that would be pretty awful. I would think there would be more of a chance of Batista/Taker, since they've never done that before. If Batista keeps the title until then, they could make a big deal out of "The title vs. the streak".

New Japan to withdraw from Dome Shows after 1/4
BUTT replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in General Wrestling
Why exactly has wrestling lost its popularity in Japan? I'm sure a whole book could be written on the subject, but I'm looking for a summary of a few sentences, maybe a few paragraphs. -
What I meant about D-Lo is when and why did he leave? There was so much hype for him when he first came in, but he really was forgotten within a few months.
-
Guys, Meltzer said it's going to be Christian. Thus, it's going to be Christian.
-
I actually think that would be a great idea, and they should do it just like Austin's ECW debut (I mean his live debut, not the backstage promo he did where he dressed like Hogan). He should come down before the Hardy/Brown match and cut a promo running them both down. Then, after Brown wins (because really, there's no way Hardy is winning) Christian should attack Hardy. That would set up a Hardy/Christian match for the next PPV which would draw interest from any casual TNA viewers because of their past history in WWE.
-
Question: What the hell ever happened to D-Lo Brown in TNA?
-
I don't think we can deny, Sid does draw money. For instance, he drew $97,925 at Uncensored 2000 during his epic feud with Jeff Jarrett. And at Starrcade 2000, his main event drew $157,380 at WCW's biggest event of the year.
-
Meltzer said on this week's WOL that "people are in trouble" over bringing Vader back, so I doubt we'll see him again any time soon.
-
Watch WWE add Jericho to commentary, see ratings still decrease, and WWE will blame Jericho not being able to work for the ratings decrease, despite him not wrestling anymore. Also, WWE will blame the popularity of Saw II for their ratings woes. You see, fans were all at the theater on Monday Night. Ratings will increase with the return of Shane McMahon and WWE's new emphasis on pleather tights.
-
I just realized that in my last post I used "also" twice when using it once would have been sufficient. I considered editing my post, but ruled against it.
-
Oh, and also, Confidential, Tough Enough, and the war in Iraq also decreased Raw's ratings. It's a fact. Look it up.
-
They didn't only blame Spongebob. They also blamed Fear Factor and the Osbournes. Neither of which, I believe, were up against WWE programming.
