I need a new IM screen name

Kotz, you've inspired me. Perhaps it should be something with "DeLorean" in it.

    *Smackdown Spoilers*

This is why the WWE is retarded. They could do Undertaker vs. Batista, have Taker put Batista over and make him a huge star... OR they can do what they're going to do 2 matches I absolutely do NOT want to see at Summerslam: Orton vs. Undertaker 2 and Muhammad Hassan vs. Batista. Fools. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Batista/Undertaker is a much bigger draw than Batista/Hassan. You want to save a match like Batista/Taker for a PPV like No Mercy or Armaggeddon where it doesn't have stuff like Cena/Jericho or Hogan/Michaels to help sell it.

    Hulk Hogan

I assume they didn't want to call it "Hulk Knows Best" because of potential problems with Marvel. Even though Hogan bought the rights to use the name "Hulk Hogan", just using "Hulk" in the title doesn't give away that it is about Hogan and thus could create "confusion in the television market" or something like that.

    Major problems for TNA

Hey, it worked for WCW, didn't it? DIDN'T IT? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The WHC wasnt defended on Backlash 2003 when HHH, Flair and Jericho squared off against Nash, HBK and Booker T. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, but HHH wrestled on the show. There have certainly been many shows where the champ wrestled but didn't defend the title. The only WWF/E PPV I can think of where the champion didn't wrestle is In Your House: Buried Alive.

WWE and ROH do have a deal. Wasn't Steve Richards down there a few months ago?

    Major problems for TNA

When Hogan was WCW champion, he often didn't wrestle at PPVs. Such as: Fall Brawl '94 Great American Bash '95 World War III '96 Spring Stampede '97 Slamboree '97 Great American Bash '97 Fall Brawl '97 World War III '97 Slamboree '98 Also, when Goldberg was champ, he didn't wrestle at Fall Brawl '98 and World War III '98.
  12. Another question: when did Brutus Beefcake start cutting hair? I noticed on obsessedwithwrestling.com, there is a picture of him with Valentine, when they were teaming (so it was obviously before he turned face) and he is holding the hedge clippers.
  13. Who was Ric Flair's valet/"maid", Fifi, in 1993? She doesn't appear to have done anything else in wrestling since then, so I'm guessing she was just a model they hired.

Wrestler who should have retired young

This is off-topic, but Invader3K, the "IWC" was pretty firmly anti-WCW and anti-Russo in late 1999. In fact, they were pretty much always anti-WCW up until they closed. And they couldn't defend WCW by saying they had cruiserweight matches during that time, because Russo ruined that division.

    WCW in 1998

I was reading "The Death of WCW" at a bookstore a few days ago, and I was thinking about just how much success WCW pissed away in 1998. They were coming off their biggest show ever, which did a 1.9 buyrate, they had just signed Bret Hart, and they had a ton of up-and-comers who had the potential to become breakout stars. And yet we all know what happened. Now disreagrding the awful quality of Starrcade '97, WCW still had a lot of momentum coming off of this show and was incredibly popular. So, if you were Eric Bischoff, what would you have done in 1998 and beyond to ensure that WCW reached its maximum potential profitability? Which wrestlers would you have pushed, and why and how? What feuds would you run? Which wrestlers would you get rid of and which ones would you bring in? Any ideas are welcome.

The last time the Raw rating was this low (except for the annual Christmas recap show) was November 3, 1997.

    Big Raw Rating

Isn't it funny that the two highest-rated Raws in recent memory have been shows that HHH didn't appear on?
