I just think it's funny that news sources are listing Lieberman and the Socialist dude as Dems. I mean, they basically are, but still, CNN.com has a place in their listings all set aside for the independents - and it says Democratic - 49 Republican - 49 Independent - 0 No, there aren't zero fucking independent senators! I wanted to find this out, so I went to the Pit to see what MikeSC had to say. Apparently, this election gave the Dems a small boost while clearing out the Republican dead weight and "2008 will be glorious".

There's not nearly as much wackiness at Freerepublic as I had hoped for. That's the best I could find in a short time period.

I saw Ford on Bill Maher's show a couple of weeks ago and he never seemed to smile. His general demeanor was that of someone who was very cold and humorless. Don't blame racism for this one. He just wasn't very likable.

Czech always talks about how much he hates Dems but he never talks about his opinions on issues, except I know he's said that he's against gay marriage and made some comment once about how "Americans don't want the kind of families Democrats want". Thus I am going to assume that Czech is some kind of Christian fundamentalist who (rightly) feels that homosexuality is the number one issue facing America today.

Of course given that Allen is the one who stands to gain from a recount it will be the proper thing to do, unlike 2000 when recounts were wholly unacceptable.

In my district we have Don Sherwood, incumbent Republican, who two years ago was accused of choking his mistress in his Washington apartment. So he's being opposed in the election for the first time since 2000. If his opponent, Chris Carney, wins, it'll be the first time a Dem has held that office in over 40 years.
