Judging by the demo I played...all combat. I hate it. It's my least favorite of the games, by far. UYA is much better, and I still find the combat in that game a bit excessive. However, depending on your gaming tastes, your mileage may vary (Not sure about Renegade's feelings on it, because he loved UYA). Oh, and best thing to come out of MK in years: http://www.viralchart.com/bloodonthecarpet/ (well, that and MK SM's gameplay, even if the story is terrible)

LOL at Motardo: http://www.mortalkombatonline.com/perl/cds...age&id=1600 Those aren't even horse legs. Those are goat legs. Motaro is a jacked-up satyr. His stage theme should be Torgo's from Manos.

There's no real "positive" way to spin that. It's a big mistake; it isn't just that there's no 3P online games this year, but Nintendo isn't sharing the code to let it happen. Of course, that's a matter of months, really. I personally don't care, but its Nintendo that suffers, not the 3Ps.

I agree. Centaur Motaro ain't happening if he's not a default character. Since they use mokap, and haven't bothered to put any effort into the series in years, they'd have to create an original 3D model from scratch if they wanted him to have 4 legs. All for the sake of a single old boss character? Forget about it.

I'm not sure how long 20 dollar SC3 lasts, so get it ASAP. I guess Motaro had half of his body chopped off in a mob hit and it was put on Shao Kahn's bed, or something.

I disagree that Kingdom Hearts doesn't qualify as a "blind buy." Do you honestly remember what the impressions were at the time? We were seeing screens of this game coming out of Japan with some spikey-haired punk interacting with FF characters, yanking Pooh's fat ass out of a rabbit hole, and fighting doofy-looking inkblots. On top of it all, that utter hack nomura was heading the project. The entire idea was borne out of a disney exec and a square exec getting in an elevator and brainstorming the most blatant, contrived, and illogical gaming tie-in imaginable. And it worked. By some mad miracle we got not one, but two great games out of it. It softened up one of the most bitter, square-hating folks I know into a blind buy...and "my jaw never left the floor." Okay, it got good reviews, but every square RPG gets good reviews. That doesn't mean we all have/should have high expectations of quality. Obscure: Survival horror meets The Faculty. The voice acting is just precious, too. It's like someone played resident evil 1 for the first time and thought "good, but the dialogue isn't campy *enough*!" The gameplay is hot too. Where else can two people team up in a horror game and beat monsters to death with blunt objects? However, I rarely have blind buys since i usually deeply research my game purchases, but a lot of games i like are unheard-of games for most folks.

Yeah, but you're not me, and I hated that movie.

Just found out about this site from a friend, when I mentioned my NES problems. He's actually done the repairs on his NES himself, and all you need is a single replacement part and a screwdriver. http://www.fixthegame.com/tutorials/nes_72...replacement.htm I'm going to try it myself. Yeah, playing NES games on an NES seems rather quaint, but I guess I'm funny like that.

Mos def. I didn't "get" most of this week's episode (aside from the obvious Dr. Doom parodying; other stuff like the catfaced guy, hitler girl, and the gay eunuchs fell flat for me.), but that was probably, bar none, the most hilarious Brock killing spree so far (including the aftermath).

Shadow of the Colossus has gone Greatest Hits, Soul Calibur 3 is available at Target for $20. These other titles should be GH too: • Jak X: Combat Racing • SOCOM 3 • Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves • Ratchet: Deadlocked ...although I can't 100% confirm that.

The OAO Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess Thread
AndrewTS replied to AndrewTS's topic in Video Games
I'm fairly sure, given the concerns about wrists getting tired, they'll offer both configurations. However, I thought it seems more intuitive for arrow-shooting the old way. -
In case you somehow missed all the commercials and the ads on game sites, Silent Hill the movie is out on DVD. My Wal-Mart is attempting to unload dvds of Resident Evil by bundling it free with Silent Hill (yeah, it's free; the same price for the 2pack as for the dvd itself). Also, they're doing something similar with FF7 Advent Children and FF TSW (buy AC and get the bundled TSW free). EDIT: While the Wal-mart 2 pack is $20 (the same price you'll see most places), Target has it for $16.99 for this week only (22nd to the 28th). However, FYE has it for $12.99 "after rebate" (the details of which I am not sure of). However, since I had a gift card, I got the wal-mart set for only $10 cash and immediately traded in the RE dvd at gamestop for an extra $2.

DVD wasn't a proprietary format, and was put in the PS2 at the "right" time when consumers were ready.

Did Jeff hardy pack some weight back on? He looks healthier than I remember him.

No, I don't see it being necessary for games. Games don't even currently use close to that amount of space. The only person claiming space will be an issue is Phil Harrison, and either he's an idiot or thinks we're all idiots. MS has an ex-Sega rep as their top xbox guy. They're not likely to forget the lessons from the Sega CD (granted, HDDVD is not CD+G, but still...).

Pfft. Yeah. Slapstick is SO much better than sarcasm... Has anyone else's gamestops/ebs had their demo Cubes set up with Star Fox Assault? 2 of them in my area had--I had thought at first that in addition to the DS Star Fox Command there was actually a GC game out too (silly me). This is even funnier out of context: http://www.screwattack.com/Flash%20HTML/ANN/Quote.html

First thing I thought of.

If you're making an attempt to be objective and truthful, yeah. However, that was never the point of the Mac/PC ads anyway, so why would a parody be?

(Not sure if that was just a response to me or the original post on it...) Yeah, PS3 should be like a 6'2", busty model, but as cold and unyielding as stone. Perhaps with a bad Madonna-esque faux-British accent. While Wii girl could remain as-is, dumb and "fun" but more modestly equipped. However, she should wear pretty much the same clothes every single day and always drag you shopping for new earrings, shoes, etc. 360 should be, like...a blinged-out wigger/punk chick, likely equipped with her own piece.
