  1. It would be funnier if it were "The Last Women on Earth."
  2. HHH. WWE can survive shitty writing, shitty wrestlers, and even Vince's shitty side projects. However, if every rising star that shows a glimmer of hope gets pedigreed back to midcard hell, we're stuck with that stagnant pile of a ME scene we have now.
  3. "Christopher Lee is awesome." That's not an observation or comment, just a fact. Does anyone pronounce out Roxas' name (rocksauce?)? So when does the game start to not-suck? Maybe I can ask a friend to make me a save for it up to that point.
  4. 2GOLD is making me very Xenophobic about this game.
  5. I was thinking that too. I haven't honestly taken a good look at Kurt in the last month or so, but I was thinking he looked much smaller.
  6. And now, a Wrestleminia Main Event, minus That Other Other Guy.
  7. 1up reports the date is May 21.
  8. Candace is Woman-E-Faces or something. She looks completely different from show to show/commercial to commercial/picture to picture--and her face on the cover of PB looks like a photoshop.
  9. And nothing screams "class" quite like Rob Zombie music.
  10. I was getting that vibe too. Except for the "good" part. If D'Von bombed with it, I don't think Mark Henry has a chance. Maybe he'll preach that the black man are all sinners, and that all the n*****s in the audience should praise the white man and hate their own blackness.
  11. It's the parade of talentless big men!
  12. shaleleigh is one way, although there is at least one other equally-correct one.
  13. It's just a short version of his last name, that's all Yeah, but the first syllable of your last name isn't a nickname, it's something a gym teacher does because he can't freakin' pronounce your full name. Now, if he was something like Mike Killabastard, that would be different. Nobody craps their pants about "the miz."
  14. What kind of nickname is "Miz?" Does he not have a penis? Is he gay married?
  15. "Give me my bag" < "COME BACK WITH MY *JACKET*!"
  16. Well, from what I hear, he is one of the chracters that is very popular in the voting for the Nintendo Revolution version of Smash Bros. Him and Toad. Speculation is that if Wario makes it in, so would Waluigi. I also heard that Kid Icrius might be in the game as well. That would be kind of intresting. Make him a hybird of Link and Neo maybe? He has a name! It's Pit! Anyway, he's a bit obscure...but if he has a unique style may as well go for it. Plus, an idea of what we might see for Wario (Mugened and way too damn big, but the attacks are worthy of note): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIj0pm9T_3o&search=wario
  17. Decent character models for next gen. But the rest of that shot? Ugly.
  18. Another question that may require further play: So, I assume Gummi ship upgrades/redesigns are back? Are they pointless/necessary/interesting? Personally, I like Ratchet and Clank style--there's a few useful upgrades you can do with it, but it's not overdone and the upgrades aren't pointless. Of course, R&C has a wide variety of mini-games that manage to be fun and interesting as well as being worth replaying. The Gummi ship sequences seem to be remaining roughly the same. Geez--while I *like* Kingdom Hearts, it's a game/series that I can't help but think "this series does this better" about. With the likely exception of presentation, of course.
  19. Yeah, I got it for 10 bucks (gift card) earlier and...I've yet to play the full game. I've just played the demo before. Of course, I'm in my Zelda binge, and on top of that after Prime I feel like, "it's an excellent game...but..." after fighting Metroid Prime and hearing of questionable design decisions in Echoes, I haven't gotten jazzed up enough to play it. Of course, I missed the big Echoes hype period, because when it came out I no longer had my Gamecube (have one again now).
  20. There's no doubt in my mind it will...well, at least as far as length/number of posts. There's not a single thing on the Mania card that's going to be shocking, after all.
  21. Okay, bosses still suck, TLM world sucks, and the rest is pretty much as expected without too many radical changes. Ah well. A friend who picked up the game yesterday played it like all friggin' night and loves it, which probably means I'll *like* it at least. I figured the linearity question was probably not going to get an answer right away anyway. Would be nice to see it a bit less structured, maybe with more puzzle solving in dungeons.
  22. For those who have the game, a few questions. 1. I hear the Gummi ship sections are "improved." Whatever the heck that means, I don't know. For plenty of folks, it was up there with Wind Waker's sailing as a tedious form of travel. So it is improved? Those sections were never hard, they were just "hold down shoot, don't collide into anything a dozen times." However, it did make them seem like ridiculous padding. 2. Do the bosses still use basically the same attack pattern? You know, float around, kill your stupid allies, and die after enough hacking and slashing? 3. Are you stuck as the parter leader character(s) the entire game, or do you get to actively control Donald/Goofy/guest characters? And I'm not counting fusions for obvious reasons. 4a. Is the Little Mermaid world as terribly un-fun as in KH1? 4b. Is the Colosseum host to anything cool as far as secrets this time around? Like trading up items or anything? 5. Are there still tons of annoyingly narrow ledges where enemies will bump/slam into you/blast you, sending you often falling into an abyss, making you trek your way back up, fight more enemies again, etc.? 6. Can you open chests when you're in a fight? I don't see why if Donald and Goofy are ganging up on a dying Heartless I can't open a lousy chest on a ledge. Well, other than it would make dungeons much, much shorter, of course. 7. Is it more or less linear than the first game? Run into any interesting/fun sidequests? 8. How awesome is Christopher Lee in the game?
  23. I always thought it was a working title. But it's 2 months away and hasn't changed, so I'm with you there.
  24. G4 swallowed up TechTV, and nearly all the good shows disappeared. X-Play is the proverbial chunks of corn in that it's the only thing remotely intact and recognizable after the change, but it still reeks in its current form. I apologize for the analogy, but the only comparisons that come to mind when thinking of G4 are all scatological. Of course, nothing on TechTV was *that* good, but it had a lot of watchable shows.
  25. When was it he was booed by them? If we're talking about the "Lost My Smile"/"Boyhood Dream"/Kliquetravaganza tripe, it's not a good comparison. HBK was incredibly lame, just like Cena is. Kids and some women bought/buy into that, but cynical males won't. But when you're a "legend" people will cheer. Ric was a handsome hated heel throughout most of his younger days, and now he barely gets booed even sucking up to HHH. Plus, don't forget about The Rock. Although for the most part WWE doesn't heavily push "handsome" guys, but guys who look like badasses. Of course, some trailer trash would make lots of lurid remarks about Austin back in the day... It'll be really funny if WWE decides that, after all the work they did recruiting guys with "the look," that they can't do a damn thing with them. It's WWE that decided that they don't need guys who already know how to wrestle; they would rather find an OMG HAWT! 20 year old with "athletic ability" ("I don't know what a wristlock is...but I can jump high!) and try to teach him to wrestle. Yet most of their biggest success stories were mostly ugly/homely bastards at best.
