Another question that may require further play: So, I assume Gummi ship upgrades/redesigns are back? Are they pointless/necessary/interesting? Personally, I like Ratchet and Clank style--there's a few useful upgrades you can do with it, but it's not overdone and the upgrades aren't pointless. Of course, R&C has a wide variety of mini-games that manage to be fun and interesting as well as being worth replaying. The Gummi ship sequences seem to be remaining roughly the same. Geez--while I *like* Kingdom Hearts, it's a game/series that I can't help but think "this series does this better" about. With the likely exception of presentation, of course.

Yeah, I got it for 10 bucks (gift card) earlier and...I've yet to play the full game. I've just played the demo before. Of course, I'm in my Zelda binge, and on top of that after Prime I feel like, "it's an excellent game...but..." after fighting Metroid Prime and hearing of questionable design decisions in Echoes, I haven't gotten jazzed up enough to play it. Of course, I missed the big Echoes hype period, because when it came out I no longer had my Gamecube (have one again now).

Bret Hart confirms he will not be at WrestleMania
AndrewTS replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
There's no doubt in my mind it will...well, at least as far as length/number of posts. There's not a single thing on the Mania card that's going to be shocking, after all. -
Okay, bosses still suck, TLM world sucks, and the rest is pretty much as expected without too many radical changes. Ah well. A friend who picked up the game yesterday played it like all friggin' night and loves it, which probably means I'll *like* it at least. I figured the linearity question was probably not going to get an answer right away anyway. Would be nice to see it a bit less structured, maybe with more puzzle solving in dungeons.

For those who have the game, a few questions. 1. I hear the Gummi ship sections are "improved." Whatever the heck that means, I don't know. For plenty of folks, it was up there with Wind Waker's sailing as a tedious form of travel. So it is improved? Those sections were never hard, they were just "hold down shoot, don't collide into anything a dozen times." However, it did make them seem like ridiculous padding. 2. Do the bosses still use basically the same attack pattern? You know, float around, kill your stupid allies, and die after enough hacking and slashing? 3. Are you stuck as the parter leader character(s) the entire game, or do you get to actively control Donald/Goofy/guest characters? And I'm not counting fusions for obvious reasons. 4a. Is the Little Mermaid world as terribly un-fun as in KH1? 4b. Is the Colosseum host to anything cool as far as secrets this time around? Like trading up items or anything? 5. Are there still tons of annoyingly narrow ledges where enemies will bump/slam into you/blast you, sending you often falling into an abyss, making you trek your way back up, fight more enemies again, etc.? 6. Can you open chests when you're in a fight? I don't see why if Donald and Goofy are ganging up on a dying Heartless I can't open a lousy chest on a ledge. Well, other than it would make dungeons much, much shorter, of course. 7. Is it more or less linear than the first game? Run into any interesting/fun sidequests? 8. How awesome is Christopher Lee in the game?

I always thought it was a working title. But it's 2 months away and hasn't changed, so I'm with you there.

G4 swallowed up TechTV, and nearly all the good shows disappeared. X-Play is the proverbial chunks of corn in that it's the only thing remotely intact and recognizable after the change, but it still reeks in its current form. I apologize for the analogy, but the only comparisons that come to mind when thinking of G4 are all scatological. Of course, nothing on TechTV was *that* good, but it had a lot of watchable shows.

When was it he was booed by them? If we're talking about the "Lost My Smile"/"Boyhood Dream"/Kliquetravaganza tripe, it's not a good comparison. HBK was incredibly lame, just like Cena is. Kids and some women bought/buy into that, but cynical males won't. But when you're a "legend" people will cheer. Ric was a handsome hated heel throughout most of his younger days, and now he barely gets booed even sucking up to HHH. Plus, don't forget about The Rock. Although for the most part WWE doesn't heavily push "handsome" guys, but guys who look like badasses. Of course, some trailer trash would make lots of lurid remarks about Austin back in the day... It'll be really funny if WWE decides that, after all the work they did recruiting guys with "the look," that they can't do a damn thing with them. It's WWE that decided that they don't need guys who already know how to wrestle; they would rather find an OMG HAWT! 20 year old with "athletic ability" ("I don't know what a wristlock is...but I can jump high!) and try to teach him to wrestle. Yet most of their biggest success stories were mostly ugly/homely bastards at best.

UMD movie sales suck and are getting drastically cut back: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/thr/film/...t_id=1002274591 Even Sony is going to nearly abandon them. Expect braindead comedies that fit the "demographic" to be about all will be released for it. iPod Video probably is the most to blame, but the glut of UMD movies with weak extras honestly didn't seem to be a particularly good idea in the first place. They certainly are overestimating the possibility to connect it up to a TV for playback... Because you could just BUY THE CHEAPER DVD VERSION AND PLAY THAT INSTEAD!

So how will they make gameplay worse this time around? I'm sick of "two steps forwards, two steps back" with this mediocre series. Although X-Box Live will surely be a solid improvement on the other SVRs' godawful online modes. Nothing like playing lobby peek-a-boo for 15 minutes because the rooms constantly drop out and the Buddy Locator is absolutely worthless.

"mid-May, just days after E3."

"I may have to get the system now." I jumped on board circa CV DoS. This looks good, but Zelda DS right now tops it for me.

I've yet to get Warioware Twisted. The game's price was a bit up there considering that many felt it didn't touch Touched!. However, I wonder why the heck the big W has yet to be featured in a Smash Bros. game. He has more games (as in starring role, not just featured like Mario Kart) than Yoshi (and way more good games, Wario World aside), and could easily have a very distinctive fighting style.

I want to warp to September, then come back here and play those games. Oh well, *starts Majora's Mask game* So there's bad writing and pretentious BS on top of it? And by 3 hours, how many worlds we talking? Just starting out or what?

Bret Hart confirms he will not be at WrestleMania
AndrewTS replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
When? 2002, on a Raw in Canada. I don't remember him doing that, and he wasn't at the RAW in Montreal in 02. How did he mock it? He was getting booed at heavily, and remarked that he does'nt really give a damn, but implied that Bret's health was all his fault because he couldn't handle what happened. My memory wants to place it in 2002 and in Canada because of the booing, but I could be wrong. Plus he was a heel during the nWo tenure anyway. -

Bret is never forgiving HBK. Vince is a lying, untrustworthy prick. Who would, in their right might, trust him? Shawn is Shawn. Christian or no, he still acts the prima donna, and mocked Bret's stroke on live TV. Plus Vince, Shawn, and Vince's stooges just a few years ago were seriously pushing the position that Bret is responsible for the death of WCW. Bret's become a bit of a bitter dick about the situation, but it's not entirely unjustified. He seems to want to do this for his fans and legacy, and then wants to get the hell away from WWE/Vince/Shawn forever. The best thing for everyone is for it to go down without any problems, and then maybe we can avoid speaking of it again. -
Shouldn't this mean that HBK and Cena over...?
-
This is gold. Well, just Vince and HHH, but pretty damn close.
-
Okay...so who is totally sold on Wrestlemania now?
-
This is worse than the Hogan/HHH match at Backlash 02.
-
Or Kahran if he still visits the folder. I requested a folder merge and he took care of it pretty quickly. Thanks, Kahran!

Your WWE champion. He punches walls.

Especially when it's just Mars Attacks! with dick jokes and minus Jack Nicholson.
