Worse--there were only 3 of those, there's 4/5 of these guys.

HHH mocking the repetitive booking?

For some reason the price hasn't reduced around here yet. I guess they are waiting for the "GREATEST HITS" tagged ones before giving us the discount. I'll grab San Andreas and God of War when GOW finally gets the reduction here. Try hitting up a pawn shop. I got my GoW 6 months ago. ...and I've yet to finish it, actually. But I can personally only take an hour or so at a time (I've played a little bit about every month, honestly). I thought the original GoW got repetitive very quickly.

Odd choice to honor Gagne. Speaking of which... "While working for the American Wrestling Association in the 1980s, Zbyszko began dating Kathy Gagne, the daughter of Verne Gagne, the owner of the AWA. They kept their relationship secret for half a year before encountering Gagne's son Greg at a Moody Blues concert. Verne Gagne initially resented Zbyszko, but accepted him after Kathy became pregnant. Zbyszko and Kathy were married in 1988 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They have two sons together, in addition to Zbyszko's two sons from a previous marriage." (wikipedia) Hm...sounds oddly familiar.

Stupid Trish--if you didn't *see* her getting the snot kicked out of her, don't believe it.

A better name would be the implant. Didn't X-Pac want to originally call it the Carpet Muncher?

Huh? This show: http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/tv_shows/krypto/ The main thing I remember about Superboy is a fat Metallo who was just a guy with a hole in his chest for green K, and a sometimes-good comic book spinoff. Super"boy" was like in his damn 20's though.

Discovered a budget game that is shockingly good? A lost old classic that never got much props? Post it here. I'll kick things off (an obvious one at first): Shantae (GBC) (cover art: http://www.vgmuseum.com/scans/gbc/gbcscans12/shantae.jpg) I've mentioned this title many times in the past--and it got some props in the recent Handheld Heroes 1up article. It's an excellent platformer with tons of RPG elements, great level design, stunning visuals (while on GBC, it looks as good or better than many similar GBA/SNES titles). It's quite a bit like Zelda 2 without the overworld, instead giving you a "loop" world (you can always get where you're going by traveling either left or right, although warps become available over time). A sequel for GBA was in development, but it hasn't been heard from in over a year and sadly may have been cancelled. Silent Bomber (PS1) Strikes against the game that led to its unknown status: The rather poor cover art: http://images-eu.amazon.com/images/P/B0000...02.MZZZZZZZ.jpg Generic CGIish anime look. *yawn* A title that is also rather generic, and depending on how you hear it, flatulant. Plus, it was published by Bandai, who has quite the rep for horrible titles. It was developed, oddly, by the folks responsible for the less-obscure Tron-Bonne-ish Tail Concerto, who would later bring us the .hack games. Anyway, while the visuals are fine (the perspective is much like Loaded, so your main character doesn't need a lot of detail on him anyway), the gameplay is what makes it worthy. By tapping a button, you can lay a bomb. By holding the button, you get an aiming reticle that lets you toss your bomb ahead of you and either attach to an enemy, or lay it a short distance away. Rapid taps after laying the first bomb will lay multiple ones; you can increase the capacity of the bombs you lay further into the game. After laying the number of bombs you want, or running out of bombs, you can hit the detonator to blow them up. Although you can only lay a set number of bombs at once, you have an infinite supply of them. You also have limiited subweapons that can only be laid instead of directed--such as napalm burst, a gravity burst (that sucks enemies into a tiny black hole), and so on. There's some limited platforming, but mostly you'll need to bomb, stay alive, and weave your way through enemy shots (much like Cannon Spike).

No offense intended. Besides, it seems like you want voted against, since I would assume it validates your "least liked poster" belief. And yeah, I'm so losing anyway, but no shame against Zack really.

"Can you handle the new Mean Gene Quadra-Decker Burger? I don't think you can!! Only a bonafide champion can, right Ric?" "WHOOO!!! *unhinges jaw like an anaconda*

You know, I'd probably rather have not been nominated at all at this point if I nearly lose to WP. =P At least Anya lost to lovecraft. Rando should have beat Hoff. Niskie over HTQ is insane. I'm against Zack this round, whose been here forever and everybody loves him, so I'm done.

*Slayer - sometimes like him, sometimes hate him, but often I disagree entirely with 909. Kingofthe909 Zack Malibu *AndrewTS - I've already lost. *Sass - Easy choice--consistently good posts. EvenflowDDT Popick *Matt Young - He's amusing. *lovecraft231 - good posts, not as gimmicky. Niskie KOAB *Dangerous A - good posts, KOAB doesn't have as many standouts. *kkktookmybabyaway - don't care for NYU, kkk never tries ever but he's amusing. Plus, western PA representin'. NYU Damaramu *Rudo - easy choice. *Meatwad CWM geniusmoment *Krankor Carnival *FOOSTER~! *Чэв Banky Bob Barron *alfdogg - Never liked Bob's posts. *KingPK- close call; I like them both. Hoff Vitamin X *Black Lushus - BL is cool, and I don't like VX anyway. Kotzenjunge *The Czech Republic - Really, really easy.

Too soon to tell for the US, because there is no announced US price yet. The Japan MSRP was approx $149 USD, more than the original DS. However, there's no original DS price drops cuz they basically sold out of the originals, and Japanese retailers are buying used DSes and selling them for a big markup. The US is quite a different market, since the DS isn't selling nearly as well here, but a $140/$150 Lite or a c-note-ish OG DS seems likely to me. Not too surprised about the Micro not doing so hot here. It was essentially designed for the Japan market, while it doesn't make much sense in the US. A typical parent isn't going to pay more for something just because it's smaller, and an older gamer will likely find the Micro to be too small and likely will be annoyed at the lack of backwards compatibility.

What system is Zan for? The original Playstation.

I agree. The x-box and Gamecube are basically done except for a few multi-console releases. I wouldn't expect any more wrestling exclusives. However, I guarantee PS2 will be getting games well into 2007. I don't necessarily think the God of War 2 rumor is true (there was a rumor that GoW is in development for PS2 and will be released early '07), but developers are not going to drop an installed user base as huge as the PS2's until it's no longer practical. If there's no early ending of the THQ/WWE agreement, I would expect at least one more Smackdown vs. Raw title.

Aww, thanks. While the launch of the Revolution will be close to the TP release (Reggie says fall, and naturally that would mean US), a Rev upgrade has been denied. Although it's a good reason to pick up a Revolution, as the Rev's supposed to have perfect backward compatibility (while 360 and PS3 won't). If they pack in a shell you've got a heck of a sweet deal. There's been rumors that a Revolution-exclusive Zelda is in the planning stages, though. However, that and this delay begs the question of what the hell the hold up is. The game looked damn near done this past fall. I don't know if there's going to be a significant US/Jpn gap, but there's not going to be huge amounts of text to translate.

Strider 2 was a fun little project, plus it includes the best home version of Strider 1 you can get without a PC-engine/arcade machine. Although, I royally suck at the game and can't get a decent score to save my life. Music is rockin' too. Rising Zan-- "Wanted: One Super Ultra Sexy Hero!" I'm always disappointed with how little love the Klonoa series gets.

It's after Christmas but we've not gotten to some of the major Q1 releases yet. I'm quenching my Legend of Zelda by hopping around from game to game. I've played through a good bit of Master Quest, I've started on a new Wind Waker game, picked up the NES Classics LoZ, etc. I aspire to play through heavy bits and/or complete as many of the games as possible before fall. Including Hyrulean Adventure--the 1 player mode in Four Swords Adventures on GC.

Is there any possible way to get it without iTunes? Opening up the installer from the site, it seems entirely geared towards that damn music program -- which I neither need nor want. http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/standalone.html

Crowd: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Shawn's deaf, apparently.

Did you like Equilibrium? Too bad, Kurt Wimmer doesn't care. The only way to explain most of this movie is "well, somebody thought it was cool." Like Milla's color changing outfits and hair. Why? Somebody thought it looked cool. Milla's guns looking like a pair of stapleguns? SOMEBODY thought it looked cool. There is really nothing good at all about this movie. The direction is utter crap. The script is terrible. The big chase scene is utterly moronic. Well, surely the fight scenes...? No. The fight scenes are utter crap. Milla kills everyone, with minimal effort. Nobody has a shot, nobody is a challenge for her. Plot is crap, dialogue is crap, fight scenes are crap, the sets and art design are crap...how bout the nudity? Well, you get to see, I believe, Milla's backside for about 2 seconds, and overall you see less than you usually do out of Milla. They actually shot a whole sequence with Milla's bypassing several layers of security to prove she's not a hemophage, and when she's nude, it's nothing we haven't seen plenty of times before. And she bypasses it in a stupid way. So there's no point to it, whatsoever, Let me spoil the big plot twists now so you aren't tempted to see it....
