It was pretty....and...did I mention it was pretty?

Yes and no. The Gamecube is built smarter, so it manages to usually make better use of its power than PS2. However, it has difficulties handling huge worlds, more characters on screen because its internal RAM cache is smaller than the other two's. Plus, the storage capacity of GC discs also hurts it a bit. Some things it does very well, other things it isn't so hot at.

Yeah, if it were circumstantial (Foley missing an Edge attempted pinfall or something), it doesn't look so bad. As it is, it's going to be a massive stretch.

Good finish, although it makes Edge look like a total whiny bitch to want to feud with Foley over this.

I miss those cheesy video game comic ads. I don't care how popular Hogan was, it seemed that the Road Warriors were in EVERY DAMN WRESTLING GAME AD I'd seen in the 80's/early 90's.

It's an extra in nearly all the Advance titles. It's a fun little game for a bit, but pointless without multiplayer, IMO.

Most of that stuff makes the "with his bare hands" stuff redundant, though.\ Jon Stewart did the Penguin laugh on last night's TDS, meh.

Grandia 2 DC vs. PS2-- the main issue is load times, which are abysmal on PS2. Skies is improved on GC, but not drastically so.

I have it on tape, and I had to take a breather after just starting the damn movie. Uwe Boll's an incompetent director, but the scriptwriters from the original HotD are back, and are capable of making an utterly terrible film without him. Anyway, here's the stupidity I ran into in the first 10 minutes. 1. We open to some frat idiots preparing to have a raid...with super soakers. 2. So they prepare to attack what I think it supposed to be a dorm, but it looks more like they're in a suburb rather than a campus. 3. one of the frat idiots bursts into a room where one of his frat bros is about to get it on...and takes pictures of the girl topless. She freaks out and runs away, and he plays innocent like he didn't know. I guess some blurry pictures of breasts > actually having sex to this guy. 4. The pissed off girl runs off...and keep in mind they're in a suburb--er, on campus at night, not out in the sticks...with street lights everywhere. Sid Haig nearly hits her with his car but she jumps on the roof. So he gets out... 5. And is playing innocent, and quickly we deduce that Sid Haig is supposed to be one of this girl's *professors* 6. ...and then he basically bludgeons her to death with a tire iron.. He takes her body back to his little lab, and tries to use his research on zombies to bring her back to life. F'n brilliant to use a live human subject for that without any apparent testing on non-human subjects, and on top of that one you likely caused SEVERE BRAIN DAMAGE TO. 7. She doesn't immediately come to life, so he's pissed, goes over and like gripes to the zombie woman in the rubber room locked up behind them. 8. He makes a reference to not being able to get the secret to bring back the dead from her, and he's "alone in the dark" about it. 9. Recently-dead teen girl is...not on the table any longer. And he's shocked. He didn't tie her down or anything 10 and....she bites him, having ended up...shockingly...a zombie! NO SHIT. 11. We see something that seems to be...I dunno, a montage, a summary of what happened afterwards...? Regardless, it's a bunch of cuts of students being attacked by zombies in a library, on a practice field, etc. So, a short way of showing that we've got a full blown zombie outbreak? Naw, apparently it isn't widespread news or anything, since it seems that no one has heard about it after the credits despite undoubtedly there being lots of possible witnesses. 12. we see the story resumes "29 days later" by the on-screen text. Ooo, cute. And the stupidity just keeps coming, but you'll lose count. Witness Alex and Ellis recapping their sizzling sexual tension (*sarcasm*) as a waiter strapped a gurney turns into a zombie--so Alex casually shoots him in the head, splattering blood all over the two. Well, it ended the scene at least. Remember Casper from House of the Dead 1? She's back...yeah, minus legs. And not as a zombie. Go figure.

Their lack of a Death Star that turns into Unicron disturbs me.

I got the new GameInformer. Here's the main stuff in a nutshell. System Shock 2 folks are making a game called Bioshock. However, I never played SS2 or 1 so I don't care at this point since it's a total puff piece. Shadow Hearts 3 is coming to US, but I think that's old news. John Woo's "Stranglehold" puff piece. Chow Yun Fat in an action game. Midway is developing. Some Valkyrie Profile 2 (PS2) and Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth (PSP revival) info. No official confirmation or denial on US release, but it's an RPG on PSP, so I expect the answer is yes (but since Suikoden 2 isn't coming out on US PSP yet, don't bet the farm on it). Secret of Mana 4 pics and info. I'm honestly underwhelmed at this point, because I don't expect much. Hopefully I'm proved wrong. Dirge of Cerberus; GI tries to cover up best they can that the title is already certified crap. KH2 information that mostly we already know. Vivi makes an appearance, though. Dead Rising: Capcom is making a survival horror game, loaded with zombies...and it isn't a RE game. *shrug* It also takes place in a mall. So, if you were hoping by some small chance we'd get a Dawn of the Dead game, well here ya go. Far Cry Instincts Predator : it's an upgrade. Tetris DS: It's Tetris, it's on DS, it has tons of play modes that you haven't seen before, it's got up ot 4 player wi-fi or 10 player wireless. nuff said. Lego Star Wars 2: The Original Trilogy - see 1up for pics and info. Some quick reviews with scores, to spare you GI's writing. Fight Night Round 3: 9 (for an EA game? Shocked...) 25 to Life: 5.75 Fight Night Streetwise: 4 -- supposedly even if you're semi-blinded by nostalgia, it's crap. Toca Race Driver 3 : 8.25 Onimusha - Dawn of Dreams : 9. "It's wicked fun." A new controllable camera is added, but mainly it's a super-polished entry in the series. Tales of Legendia: 7.25 Grandia III: 8.75 (decimal specifics are stupid, yeah). Shadow Hearts: From the New World: 8.75 --mathematically equal to Grandia III--whoopie! Drakengard 2: 7.25 DOA4: 9...gee, what a shock. Full Auto: 7.5--a true disappointment that It didnt' get 7.75. Odama: 7 Tales of Phantasia: 7.25 Super Princess Peach: 8.75 Exit: 7.25

I've never liked Fire Emblem, and Symphonia's very good. Go for ToS.
