Well, the timeline skips way ahead beginning with X5. X5 starts out with the galaxy being at peace after "centuries of the Reploid war." So Cain likely is dead, natural or otherwise, unless he had his noodle stuck in a reploid shell and ran off to a tropical island with some hookerbots and his phat Reploid subsidies.

Yeah, wasn't on SNES. Either it was in the original release, or maybe it was an apology for the missing Bass "Damn" in MMVII on AC.

That's not the meaning behind the term "blowjob tag team." It's used for pretty boys who are booked on the shows to attract more women.

The CC I went to seemed understaffed. Which translated to a hassle-free shopping experience, but needing to call some one over to ring me up. Every time I go to Best Buy there's usually somebody wanting to help me, though. When you're a regular often they'll leave you alone when you've turned them down a hundred times. Besides, usually when I'm looking for something, if I can't find it right away they can't either.

It's also why Rico's tribute didn't work. He got a few wins, and just when you think they were committed to making him a dominant heel, he was either jobbing again or only wrestling on Velocity. Then got released. Any time WWE has an idea that has a lot of promise, they'll often drop it if it doesn't get over like gangbusters right away. However, a guy they're high on will get chance after chance even if heatless. Also common, if it is a bad idea, they assume it is the worker's fault for not making it work. Can anyone here even remember the last time the Heart-throbs even had a Raw match, let alone won? They ran out of ideas for the Simon Dean character about 3 weeks in.

That sounds like the usual, "I'm not racist...BUT...*says something incredibly racist*. Oh, and I have lots of black friends!" Shut the fuck up, you InuYasha fan.

"SVC Chaos was playable in the store" A marked improvement over the other versions! Okay, guilty as charged on the personalized dialogue. That, Red Arremer, and the roster in general are the only reasons I actually played it as long as I did.

Mine was pretty much cleared out, but picked up a few things. DOA2:H was that price at least 3 weeks ago when I got it at the same CC, though. I did get VF4 (a GH...yeah, I didn't know regular VF4 got a GH, thought that was just Evo). Rogue Ops Gungrave Overdose Batman Rise of Sin Tzu for GBA (it was like 5 bucks and wasn't in the list. It's much better than the console version, and is more like a regular platformer with a bit of baddie bashing. Once again it seems like the ubi folks who made it were fans of the SNES Batman and Robin game, although this one isn't nearly as good. It smokes the crappy GBA Batman Vengeance by far). Almost nothing listed for Gamecube was there (except crap like LotR or whatever). I was hoping to get PoP: WW for GC and give my PS2 version to a friend, but they didn't have it or SoT, just new copies of TTT. I brought the list and was ready to stock up...hell, I was even going to give Constantine a chance at that price, but they had nada.

Plus, just like any fighting/wrestling game on gamespy servers, the online play in PS2 is buggy as hell. I can't say how good/bad X-Box Live was with it. Matt: SVC Chaos? Good Lord, I'll play just about any 2D fighter for a while, but that was painful.

Aero: You didn't notice you only had 7 heart tanks? Zero had to have been some sort of colossal accident by Wily. He couldn't have intentionally created something that competent. He probably was trying to make a cooking/dishwashing robot and ended up with him. Dr. Light most assuredly had to have been bat**** insane. He must have probably spend his last 10 years designing, developing, and hiding those various armor pieces for X. Yet, he never found time to father a child. Probably he was sterile or something. Dr. Cain is such a colossal screwup. He could barely wait to make knockoffs of X and have them put into production before even knowing the hell he was working with. Apparently he had thousands of reploids rolling out within months of discovering X. It takes years just to get a new pill with tons of side effects to market--how the hell did he do it?

*WWE's pre-debut press release on Hassan tone* This controversial character change for Orlando Jordan should not be immediately greeted this way. This could be a very positive development that opens some great new story opportunities. While we currently live in a culture that generally is growing more tolerant of those with different lifestyles, the homosexual community is plagued with stereotypes to this day. A bisexual African American is one important step that could be taken to assuage this.

Considering that between DA and D is was the same fighting styles with different specials, yeah--lots of repeats to be sure.

MK 66.6 : The Kuest for Even More Ka$h! Hopefully this will be a more polished effort than the origial MK Trilogy. However, at this point a slight improvement is boundlessly optimistic. If Konquest is improved (more actual goals than collecting, tutorials, and the occasional real fight) it should be a good rental/budget purchase tho. Since Shaolin Monks was the best MK game in nearly 10 years, I'm hopeful. I wonder what thrown-together minigame it may have on the side to try to sell the package. Maybe a dating sim this time. Considering the Kollector's Editions are still sitting on some store shells, I wonder what marketing gimmick they might go with this time.

Vince you bastard, trying to scare thousands of fans into thinking Henry was WWE Champion.

Psychlos. And beat ya on that by about 2 weeks.

Or maybe of the fattest Klingon whore in the universe getting together with a tubby Psychlo.

Okay, question about X... "a better order for going through MMX: Chill/Storm/Flame/Spark/Armored/Launch/Boomer/Sting. Most books said Chill/Spark/Armored/Launch/Boomer/Sting/Storm/Flame, but Storm Eagle is easily beatable with the Mega-Buster, and the tornado is like the best weapon you can get, so get it early." If it is, in theory, possible to get everything on the first go, don't you need the flame wave to get the heart tank in chill's stage? But...let's say you were to take Flame Mammoth on first...you can't get the heart tank without doing Chill's first. And the sub tank in Flame Mammoth's requires the helmet upgrade. Is there some alternate way I'm missing to get one of those? Plus, the Spark Mandrill subtank without the Boomerang Cutter. I know you can freeze a platform to get the heart tank in Boomer's stage that is easier to get with the Boomerang Cutter, so you have a choice. Kind of the way it should be, really. Of course, you can get one or two upgrades after clearing all the stages and just exit the stage, but doesn't sound like it's possible to do a perfect 100% collection without restarting a stage. Just got souped up X-buster. "You can use it to fite all types of weapons."

Orton having the utter crap beaten out of him = buyrates.

Thought was perished as soon as I read: However, this is unmitigated bullshit, regardless.

Been playing the heck out of the collection. A few thoughts... -Mega Man X It's been reaffirmed in my mind that X is the best of the series. Not a theory or opinion, just a bloody fact. Watching the demo featuring X just tearing ass through Armored Armadillo stages, using the item-crash style charged mav weapons (the rarity of which is sad to see) reminded me those damn weapons are actually useful in this game. The control is just too damn fantastic. X responds so well and so quickly, falling somewhere closer to the original MM games than the later X games. Storm Tornado owns. I just took down Flame Mammoth and Boomer Kawanger with it. Deals out mucho damage against normal baddies. Plus that charged version looks sick. Boomerang Cutter is almost more useful because of the range, though. Boomer Kawanger is either one of the best or one of the worst designs in the series. Too bad he fights like a glorified Cutman and goes down like a damn chump. I had forgotten about all the ways the level changes...like the melted down spikes in Flame Mammoth's stage, letting me nab an easy heart tank. -Mega Man X4 This one seems harder than the original (maybe it's just me). I've already torn through all the mavericks (and once you get the saber upgrade, it's a breeze. Seems I'm taking more hits in general than on the PS1 version. Flame Dragoon most definitely did not kick my ass like that in the original game. Yow. However, it's better than I remember for sure. -Mega Man X5 Actually seems a bit easier than I remember (not that I look forward to facing Black Devil again...well, in some sick way I do). However, Duff McWhalen got sabered to death without me taking a single hit. Pathetic. And complain if you will about the GNR names...it's kind of silly considering some of the others. Plus...the original names weren't so great: Grizzly Slash (Crescent Grizzly) Squid Adler (Bolt Kraken) Izzy Glow (Shining Firefly) Duff McWhalen (Tidal Whale) The Skivver (Spiral Pegasus) Axel the Red (Spiked Rosered) Dark Dizzy (Dark Necrobat) Mattrex (Burn Dinorex) But McWhalen and Mattrex are still terrible. Also, yeah, Tonion was in X7, the only MMX game I have yet to play (unless you couldn't Command Mission). Even folks who swear by X6 as a decent game loathe it, so I passed it up. I'd give it a shot if it weren't still too expensive for its rep. Also, it seems that being a reploid based on/named for an animal makes one more likely to go maverick (or at least be killed by X/Zero). Although, who the hell would be shocked Dragoon and Slash Beast would become bad when they rolled off the assembly line. Look at 'em!! Beats the run they were in with the original MM "man" bosses. Atlhough..it was only the second game! What was there excuse anyway? Boomer Kwanger...Boomer Kwanger...now there's a boss name. Why does the back of the game casing show the two worst games on the collection--MMX6 and MM: Battle and Chase?

Very cool. The way it is edited, it seems like there could be more to it, though.

1) A definite no. 2) Controllers I believe so. Rest would depend, I guess.
-
No, you can do a soft reset. Press LI+L2+R1+R2+Select+Start (all at the same time) and you'll go back to the game select screen. Thankfully, the old passwords work. I had played X2 over at a friend's friend's filthy dorm room and wrote down the password for when I took out Wheel Gator and Wire Sponge during the summer, and it still works here.
-
Why I can't map anything to the L2 and R2 buttons in X1 I have no idea. Yeah, obviously there were only L and R on the SNES, but makes little sense here. Playing X1 on a PS2 controller makes me really appreciate how good the SNES controller was for this type of game, though. Dashing is okay but keeping a charged X Buster kills your hand after a while. X6 still plays like ass. I'll release an X-buster shot midair, and hey--there goes X, dashing into the enemy like an f'n imbecile when I never commanded him to. So, emulated right down to the glitches I guess.
