I notice it has "The Late Mr. Kent", perhaps my favorite episode of the series. Definitely a must buy. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Excellent choice. I didn't see too many reruns of it, sadly, so it'll be great to finally have it on DVD. And World's Finest being included in there, which I have yet to own on DVD separately. Reminder--tonight at 10 the new season starts, not 9. New Naruto at 9 instead.

Great post, WP, thanks for putting it up.

On my way home I stopped at my EB and saw Urban Reign was in. Was hesitant to pick it up yet, but reviews seem to be extremely positive. Still, 40 bucks is a bit much for a blind buy.

Well, that is how he "dies" in MK2, even if none of the regular endings are canon. But SM should have given the be-all, end-all canon results of MKII... Of course, people die and come back in MK all the time. Considering that they decided to use aspects of MK Annihilation in the games afterwards, I guess it's not shocking.

If it does indeed turn out looking like a Wavebird, I won't mind at all. It's a great controller. It seems that 3rd parties won't have to design a totally new controller, just one that works like a shell, and the motion sensor stuff will be already built into the Revmote. So 3P will save money, and Nintendo will still get a chunk of the action without even requiring 3P licensing fees. Savvy move. Plus, with the patents in place, probably if Sony/MS wants to copy it, they'll have to fork over cash to Nintendo. As it is, Nintendo already makes money on X-Box Live because of patents of theirs'. So, Nintendo is learning. Seems you did a complete 180 on that...you took one look and said Nintendo was doomed, initially.
-
Revolution was catchier than Project Reality, anyway. It's funny to see old arcade machines with "Ultra 64" plugs, though. Still sounds like a type of fuel.
-
Stupid? No, Nintendo has never been stupid. Nintendo patented insanity, however.
-
+ It's a Wavebird design, pretty much. + The C-stick sucked anyway. Two analogs are fine by me. - Dpad still looks a bit too smallish. - GC button layout always left something to be desired. "I'll take your share of caring for the PS3 then, hey Andrew?" Don't know if it could be broken down any further. It's like, 1 mehton, the smallest unit of caring before we get into ratzasstons.
-
Well, that's kind of the obvious extention of these controllers. The games themselves are going to be radically different. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nintendo has touted how supposedly easy the Rev will be to develop for, so hopefully it's true. I wonder if Anya truly intended to just show a picture of the controller, and nothing else, without a scrap of info. I guess I'm not alone in saying that not only is there loads of potential, but the more I think about it, the better it sounds. A radical new design + preservation of traditional control when needed = win, win. I've very much interested in the Rev as well as the 360 now, and I don't care a lick about PS3.
-
http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=60917 So, there's a traditional option, too. Provided it's packed in, then there shouldn't be too much of a problem with 3rd parties.

1up has also confirmed that PSP is getting a brand new Katamari game ("Me and My Katamari").
-
1up.com has confirmed that Suikoden 1 and 2 will be released as a compilation on PSP: http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3143798 U.S. release isn't certain yet, though.

I guess I wasn't the only one imagining the possibilities for that as well. Plus, I dig Mocap boxing and those arcade motion-sensor sword games. Ironically, though, it appears a DVD remote will be extra.. Basically my opinion--there's the potential for this to suck or rule. If the DS can work, I'll be willing to give this a shot. In addition to supporting GC pads, it seems a given we'll be able to use a DS as a controller in some fashion.
-
Yeah...man, fighters so sell a system these days... It should be great for FPSers, and of course gimmicky Nintendo games. At least the difference in design has an actual point to it, unlike the GC controller with its awful button layout, and fiddler-crabbish B and A buttons. However, an alternate and more tradtional control for 3rd party games (perhaps a sturdier N64 pad designed to plug into the Rev's Cube ports?) is a must, IMO.

but when they do, I have to let them know they need to lose weight. Hear that, Show, you fatty fatass motherfatter dipped in batter? Raw should have 30 minutes of Simon Dean and Trish teaching yoga classes.

.... Um...yeah! He needs to take notes from Cena and Hogan.

Old news, but details on the Supes AS DVD set due out Dec 6th. http://worldsfinestonline.com/WF/superman/releases/dvd/vol2/ Shock of shocks, no commentary on Mxyzptlk's debut ep? Looks good otherwise...but I hate that they've yet again done the double-sided DVD thing.

I used to get TechTV. Then G4 took it over. Shortly afterward it was dropped from my cable company. Good riddance. X-Play was watchable, despite being cheesy as hell and sometimes coming off as extremely forced. Judgment Day sucks. Tommy T is almost too much of a moron to qualify as a Gamepro editor.

Was skimming around 1up and found out that Monolith Soft is... a) Making Xenosaga 1 and 2 for DS--which will be a stripped down, 2D, more old school version of the first two games. b) Working on Xenosaga ep 3--Thus Spoke Zaratharus--which will be the LAST in the series. Apparently Ep. 2 was such a colossal failure that they've chopped out two of the planned games. WHOOOOOOOO!

Metal Gear Solid 4 to feature much older Snake...
AndrewTS replied to Use Your Illusion's topic in Video Games
It's an H. Kojima game. Things will not be as they initially seem. -
I was curious just what Popolocrois was going to be--one of the PS1 games or an original. Turns out it's the first two games-- http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3143471&did=2 Never played the originals myself, though.

That comment probably wasn't directed at me, but I was serious about my little anecdote. Although I can see how one might take J82's comment the wrong way. My dad's a veteran, too.

We'll forgive you this time, Matt. I didn't realize so many people would jump on this so soon. At Circuit City I still sometimes find good stuff long after a sale is announced.
