According to today's Famitsu, the Japanese remake of Gyakuten Saiban for the DS (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney in the US) will have a full English option to switch everything over to the US version of the game (complete with US logo, splash screens, etc.). If you can't wait til the US release (EB says Oct. 17), the Japanese one is out on Sept. 15. Of course, the Japanese one costs like $20 more, but still.

That CAW alliance site is pretty incredible. I thought DoR's CAW sucked--guess it was me.
-
Too bad the CAD one seems to be completely oblivious to Thompson's past crusades, but still funny. "are all you gamers on drugs?" Nobody tell Jack about Super Mario Brothers, mmmk?

MMoM misunderstandimates alot.

Monk on Raw could be gold. If, you know, the Monk writers write it and WWE doesn't.

IGN's list of Confirmed Superstars--there's more, these ones are definite. Kind of boring, though. Batista, Big Show, Booker T, Carlito Caribbean Cool, Chris Benoit, Christian, the Bashams, Eddie Guerrero, Edge, Eugene, Heidenreich, Hurricane, JBL, John Cena, Kane, Kurt Angle, Randy Orton, Rene Dupree, Rey Mysterio, Ric Flair, HBK, Shelton Benjamin, Triple H, and Undertaker http://ps2.ign.com/articles/641/641173p1.html It'd dated TODAY but they think Eugene is still injured...*shrug* When this game comes out maybe Zack Malibu can give us an OVW Bashams moveset.

NEWZ = any resemblance to actual news is purely coincidental.

Never, because it's obscenely expensive. WWE can't affford to lose that money for a silly angle, duh! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What about those $50,000 cameras? You know, the ones that weigh (insert Andre's alleged weight as last claimed by Hogan)? Besides, isn't that model he's using outdated? They've been using it for...2-3 years? They have stuff thinner, lighter, better resolution... bigger screen. Jericho should be able to afford a better one now. Break the ****er already!

Just when you think this SD can't get any worse... Way to keep that "brand extension" thing believeable.

I've heard shorter HHH promos.

...Eddy just say....? Ech.

Crowd is getting pissed.

That would be hillarious. Oh, and the Social worker should go.."Dominic must be severely disturbed over the fact that he never gets to see his "father's" (Rey) face" <{POST_SNAPBACK}> "I am an Ar---Korean American!" The mask thing kills me, too.

Mrs. Crabtree? WWE sucks at fictional names. Eddy: *whispers* What a dirty *****. "SAY WHAT?!" Eddy: I said this is a wordy sketch.
-
I wonder if Eddie is going to explain the "lie, cheat, and steal" in his theme music to the social worker.

He sounds like Conway's big, gay bodyguard. Not that there would be anything wrong with that.

If you mean Batman: TAS/Adventures of Batman and Robin VS. New Adventures AKA Gotham Knights... I think it's simply a case of same writers, different animators. Plus, they kind of felt like "reinventing" some of the character designs. I do know that most of the animation for the older (TAS) episodes were done by foreign animation studios, and I *think* the newer animation (New Adventures/Gotham Knights, Superman, and Justice League) is done in the US. I'm assuming you don't mean "The Batman" which is entirely different. None of the TAS/GK peeps worked on it except for Glen Murakami. When the Gotham Knights/New Adventures DVD set comes out, perhaps they'll spill clearer details.

Yukes' Rumbles Roses XX on XB360 makes me thrilled at the possibilities of a SD-style game with decent online options. Even if 360 still gets crappy WWE games, at least that one should be rock-solid...or firm, but yielding to the touch, depending on how you look at it.

Sonic Gems Collection: FEATURING SONIC CD!!!!
AndrewTS replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in Video Games
X-Box I highly doubt. It sold like crap on X-Box (well, in the US and Japan for obvious reasons but did great in the UK) and XB's scheduled releases are tapering off. In the UK, the PS2 and X-Box versions of SMC topped sales charts, so if they don't see an X-Box SGC, we never will. The PS2 SMC+ sold great in UK and Japan, but the original SMC sold far better here on GC than the +s. There's a chance the US PS2 could get it because the PS2 still has tons of life left in it, but not for quite a while and it's not scheduled yet. I'm already importing the GC Japanese version. Ebayed it for $47.99 (SoR trilogy and a better soundtrack is worth it). I was thinking of readying my PS2 for importing because of the better controller, but it costs too much and I have an Action Replay for GC, so I'm already set (GC Action Replay lets you play imports). PS2 gamers are probably going to be darn lucky when the PS3 hits. I predict then we'll get a ton of dirt-cheap imports as budget titles, just like we did when the PS1 was entering its twilight year(s). Shadow the Hedgehog is supposed to hit all three consoles in the US, on a related note. SoA should throw in the SoR games since Shadow's getting a T and it's a little late for another Sega compilation. BTW, probably another major reason we're not getting the PS2 SGC is the price. As you probably noticed, Sega is charging full price for the other reasons, although over here we get it on GC for the "bargain" price of $29.99. SCEA probably wouldn't let them sell it for that much do the meager selection of titles (unlike MMAC and Street Fighter Anniversary Collection, which offered plenty more games/newer games, respectively). You could call that greed, but why should they bother putting out PS2 and XB versions here when the GC one will sell a heck of a lot more and they can charge a bit more too? Next week--August 16--for the US release date, BTW. It's being released in Japan today. Most of the games are mediocre at best, so that's to be expected. -
Well, hell, EDGE is burying Matt on the stick right now. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Matt buried Matt on the stick. Edge just tossed a few shovelfulls on the pile.

Broadband was still laggy as hell on SvR, and that was just with two players. I'd be plenty happy if they could even do 4 players online for tags. Gamespy's servers suck ass.

So when is the DVD war supposed to happen?
AndrewTS replied to brokentusk16's topic in Television & Film
That's what I thought too. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not at all. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/thr/artic...t_id=1001000457 So right now, we have a new-gen DVD cold war brewing. The PS3 could be a big factor in it, since the PS2 helped usher DVDs into the mainstream faster. BTW, both Blu-Ray and HD DVD players will play DVDs. -
Well, not being the most tech savvy type (I have a cellphone only for emergencies, and it's bare bones; no MP3 player, I still use those big shiny discs), the PSP is still a bust AFAIC for games, so I'm not budging on that. UMD movies are a poor value, and since I drive myself around I don't really have any need or desire to watch movies on the go. Sadly, both Nintendo and Sony were quite myopic with designing the controls. A clicky thumb-stick with analog capability would have done wonders for the DS, even though the touch screen can be used like one. PSP has nothing of the sort, which kind of ruins Ape Escape (and dual analogs would have been boss with Mega Man Legends). Both are short on buttons, although DS has the capability to replace them in other ways. I'm looking into getting a DS around Christmas time. So far, not a single game on PSP looks like something I'd want the system for. Supposedly the PS3 will play UMD movies (it's practically set in stone). PSP connectivity is a definite although how it works isn't clear. Heck, the PS3 supports the PSP memory sticks. So I bet PS3 will play PSP games (smaller disc size sure, but if Rev can do GC, should be no problem). However, letting that cat out of the bag could do a lot of harm to the PSP sales.

Aside from improved gameplay, better online mode (perhaps with a stat cap. All those 98ers that play online suck), stats that aren't complete freakin' BS (in fact, the whole HCTP/SvR stat system is still complete rubbish in my eyes), I'd like for them to allow me to completely customize the controls. I've gotten quite used to the Rumble Roses' control scheme (which I had to, since Yukes didn't provide a button config), so now that I am I don't think it's unreasonable to hope I can set it to the same thing on SvR2K6. It's the same friggin' development team and a similar engine, for cryin' out loud.
