Obviously, naw. Haven't watched since the Zedd/Thunderzords era really.
-
You mean there's Power Ranger series out there that are delightfully cheesy and witty instead of flat-out bad and uber-cheesy?
-
BTW, Thompson isn't just a guy who recently became a media whore. He's always been one. So he started--and presumably still makes bread--as an ambulance chaser. Big shock.
-
Thanks--was trying to think of a movie site but didn't occur to me wrestling sources were still covering the Rock's stuff.

What's "WON"? I got an NBA Jam for Genesis with Barkley in it. Heard those were very limited. Are they? Okay, Japan has odd fetishes...although this one isn't flat out disturbing as many of them are: http://cgi.ebay.com/MiniSkirt-Police-Sega-...1QQcmdZViewItem Why does it look like they made those outfits out of blue raincoats, though? (No, I didn't bid. =P)

We both hated the battle system. What changed your mind?

Since we have to watch it... (Diva Search 2005)

She was sent to Deep South Wrestling for training, IIRC. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ah, wasn't sure, but it did seem she had some ambitions to wrestle. Good to see at least one of them did. I'll patiently await her return. -

I picked Liz. At least she seems to have some athletic ability. However, my runner up choice was "who gives a ****?". But what has SD done with my beloved Michelle McCool? -
True, but with the barriers to entry rising, the industry starting to become the playground of two huge conglomerates, and the long, humiliating slide that the losers take (losing 30-50% market share in a single generation sometimes), I don't see it changing. Yet another Madden out, and I'm annoyed. Not because OMG EA IZ EVIL, but it means more Madden games cluttering up the used game shelves. It's bad enough Gamestops and EBs have about 50 copies of assorted Maddens on PS1 already. Face it, EB/GS, unless it's a classic (like Tecmo Bowl, NBA Jam) most of these sports games are going to sit there for years. If they're Maddens older than two years, just about NOBODY is going to buy them unless the discs are solid gold and the manuals are autographed by the appropriate Super-Bowl winning team. Gamestop especially pisses me off with it, because they got those super-thin plastic cases that you can't see the title of without flipping through it. "Madden, Madden, Madden...Tony Hawk, Tony Hawk, Tony Hawk...Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider Tomb Raider...." It's sad they couldn't get Hogan to play Bass. Funny that his show has him playing the same crazed, overprotective father character that Bass basically is. I guess the movie will be half this: http://japanboob.ytmnd.com/ And half goofy fighting and dialogue.

I picked up Rumble Roses a few weeks ago from Circuit City for only 10 bucks. I was hesitant but the price was right, and glad I did. Quite a good game despite the shameless fanservice. Bloody Shadow (me) vs. Dixie Clemens (CPU) I started a standing moonsault while she was laying down--she got up quickly, and CAUGHT me, looking like she was going to Last Call me--but I slipped free--punches exchanged, I was hammer thrown to the ropes--I vaulted over, landed behind her--roundhouse kick, ducked behind her legs and hit a neckbreaker drop. As she got up, I smacked her around some more, putting her on the ropes--grappled her, hit a 619...but Shadow keep spinning around, hitting another 619 kick, then a third one when Clemens was knocked down to the bottom rope! Shadow vaulted up, landing gingerly on her feet as Clemens started to get up in a groggy daze--hammer throw to the corner-- LETHAL MOVE--the Hades Drop, which is where Shadow looks like she's going to do a top rope Rock Bottom, but kind of combines it with a twisting moonsault, slamming Clemens hard in the center of the ring. Shadow straddles Clemens' chest for the 1, 2, 3. Gripes with the game--short on grapple moves, no CAW or online mode. Weapons kind of suck, too. The girls swing them like Lance Storm. Oh, taking out the cheat allowing you to play as either alter ego (was in the Jpn version) kind of sucks. Mud matches are utterly shameless but fun. I played a friend and hit a top rope moonsault onto him from the top of the beach chair while he was standing out on the outside of the ring. He tried to repay the favor later on, but I ran up the ladder to the chair, armdragged her off, and hit a moonsault in the center of the mudring for the pin.

Most of the gaming sites have, but many journalists who have never gamed in their life don't know anything about it and accept it blindly as fact.
-
Not to mention the fact that "Bigger, Longer, and Uncut" is an obvious reference to... well, you know. It's obvious. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I never noticed that before, actually. That's probably how it slipped by them.

Except anybody with common sense and without an agenda to push can see he was a frickin' loon. It could have been reading a bible, watching TV or renting a crime drama that could have set him off. I'm less concerned about the GTA series being banned than I am any dangerous precedents being set. Oh, and I'm not going to post them here, but Thompson has allegedly been being sent death threats. The funny part (or rather, shamelessly and thinly disguised suspicious part)? He sent a letter to Hillary and Lieberman in which he claims it "proves conclusively" what he thinks about violent video games. I hope the FBI discovers he lied to them, he gets disbarred and jailed. Although I don't doubt he has been getting some, but nothing with serious intent behind them. Although you'd think with all these thousands--perhaps a million or more--trained video game soldiers Rockstar created that they'd have gotten him by now.

http://cnn.netscape.cnn.com/news/story.jsp...0705video_games The list of links on the page are also worth noting, like the "Eight Myths about Video Games Debunked." That's game purchases PERIOD, and not M games. Which is what I've been saying and certain people (Ripper, mainly) deny it. And it's obvious to me how they get those games, and I don't think it's a retailer covering their eyes as they hand over the game boxes.

Am I the only person expecting Dominic to turn heel on Rey in favor of "Daddy Eddy" at SumSlam?
-
At least they're off that "women are objects to be bartered, wagered, or stolen as needed" kick they were on.
-
Probably Gameshark. Gameshark can hack moves and splice them together. For instance, you can replace the DVD with a FU, but all DVDs in the game become FUs. Someone had a great looking Batista CAW they showed off on here, made by editing the placement of some of the tattoos.

I kind of figured they probably would just send in videos. However, seems like once in a while they'll pick up on some obscure thing the creators likely would easily forget (the Robotron thing). And what's up with that Amplitude thing? However, the fact that they don't have clear and concise guidelines and precedents goes to show how much of a joke they are. I guess Rock 'em Sock 'em robots wouldn't be appropriate for anyone under 13 if they made it into a game. Perhaps, but at least Sega were voluntarily taking steps to regulate themselves with their ratings, and they did it quite well.

Having a "decent" match with Benoit is worthy of love now? Seems you've lowered your standards, RRR. And isn't it rather redundant to have a flaming homosexual heel on the same roster as a flaming homosexual heel tag team? Plus both of them are seemingly played up as comedy characters (although seemingly they'll squeak out a win here and there)?

So, being one of those is different from the "crappy guy of the month" smarks will laugh at and laugh onto (like Visc, Snitsky) that you complain about how, exactly? (Yeah, I remember the great Tomko/Fertig skits, but that was before they were called up.) But I don't think we'll see 8 random divas dance to it...with a dog...then have Heidy show up and read a poem to them.

Toon Disney kind of threw together its answer to AS (action anyway)--I believe they had X-Men, Spider-Man, The Tick, and Gargoyles I believe. Started around 10 I think. *checks schedule* seems it still is around, but they replaced Gargoyles with something called Shinzo.

Ditto. "That's MIND-TAKING, baby! Accept no substitutes!" And finally the damn hippo's line became more than than just a running gag. I know, just being sarcastic. I've seen every ep so far I believe.
-
BTW, which season of Harvey Birdman were those episodes they referenced? The one with Gigi was pretty lame, but I liked Unaboo-Boo, him trying to kill the robot dog, and especially Peanut's hitting puberty. I also don't like S-Cry-ed. GitS is hard to catch many eps of but it's good. PA I have no friggin' clue what the hell is going on, didn't catch it from beginning.

I'm trying to figure out what that comment meant. What's this "9" anyway? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Age 9

Thanks a lot. Damn, those are same great deals and new releases. Got to get to a CC too.
