Earth Defense Force = big fun, even though it's a ridiculously cheaply-made and stupid game. Earth Defense Force + playing split-screen co-op + one friend who is also a sci-fi/b-movie nut + playing the Misfits' Famous Monsters album through the harddrive = big, big, big fun.

So they can claim higher "damages."

Googling this company returns absolutely no results other than stuff in relation to this lawsuit. "The parasite asks, 'Where is my share?'" Hooray for vague patent squatting and lawsuits from companies that don't make anything.

Oh, and Resistance 2 has a Game Informer cover story.

I await gameplay footage. This may surprise some, but I never played a real Lego Star Wars game (just a demo that didn't strike me as all that great), so I'm skeptical.

Lurking, I think. I wonder what he'd have to say about the Happy Video Game Nerd. That AVGN video, in the context he set in the beginning, is alright, but it's like one of his "out of character" videos he's been doing now and then (IOW, it's a James Rolfe video more than an AVGN). Although it does little more than state the obvious; the Zelda "timeline" makes the Castlevania timeline seem concrete and easy to understand.

box art revealed for Assassin's Creed for DS. http://cache.kotaku.com/assets/resources/2.../assassinds.jpg And if you look really closely, screenshots!

If there's a weapon bar again, yeah. Otherwise--well, it's a game. One where a girl uses a bladed hula hoop as a weapon, a knight (or suit of armor) possessed by demons carries around a enormous cursed sword nearly his own height with an eyeball on it, and females with F cup breasts (and sometimes heavy armor) manage to dart around and fight with the greatest of ease. For a BS reason, maybe it's in a lower-power state.

We need a fighting game with in it now.

Don't worry. As mentioned above, thanks to the magic of DLC, you'll probably be able to pay for whichever character(s) you don't have. The "console exclusive" characters are probably freebies. This is the same Bandai-Namco that made you buy half of Katamari 360's levels, after all. If you'll pay for it, they'll sell it!

I guess I'll have to at least rent that. Video review of Sneak King that was created for a Gametrailers contest: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/106219.html

Silly little bit of trivia: Parrying is actually called "Blocking" in Japan. What we know as blocking is usually referred to as "guarding" there.
-
It has dashes, EX moves, and while there's no Parry the Saving System basically replaces it. The SFEX games had really added nothing to the series but a major lack of polish and super cancels. Street Fighter 3 removed nearly all of the Alpha series' new mechanics, BTW. Air blocks, alpha counters, custom combos all were axed, as well as the tiered supers (you couldn't do a Level 2 or Level 3 super). Unsurprisingly it seems ISMs are likely out the door, to. (Anya pointed this out in a discussion we were having, but hadn't posted, BTW).

In case anyone is unfamiliar with Star Tropics:

All PS1 games work, in theory. There's like one in a thousand that may not or has issues (Tomba! and Tomba! 2 had some weird issues, so I assume they would have problems still). There's a searchable database to look up PS2 game compatibility: http://www.us.playstation.com/Support/CompatibleStatus
-
Not really. The EX games were outsourced to Arika, this is done all internally within Capcom. They aren't. It hasn't happened yet at the time this game takes place.

New Line to drop HD DVD support.
-
It is on the Wii (in relation to the other systems)! I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that No More Heroes is good just yet, though. The Suda games we've had a chance to play are kind of "eh," really.

=/= to I see your point, although by that time I was pretty much going for orbs (for agility), so having a few stray gang members to finish up while accomplishing that were more convenient/fun than anything *crucial*. I didn't head up the Shai Gen building until all my skills except driving were near-max. As for the biggest problem, it was that it would reset your orb count, which annoyed a lot of people who worked hard and long to get them. Scores are all over the place for it. I could understand how someone would be lukewarm or even not like the game, but it's one of the games that made me get a 360 when I did (I played the demo in March, and I got the system in April. It's a game that totally sold me on the system). It's just plain fun and that price is a steal for it.

If God Awful Crap Game from D3 # 690 gets a US release, it definitely should. I wonder what new name they will use. I can actually remember that the title is Oboro Muramasa Youtouden from memory (sadly), and I think it would be totally worth keeping just to see Gamestop pimples try to pronounce it. I hope it is more action than RPG and fixes the more annoying bits of Odin Sphere.

DIVX was always a joke; hardly was a serious format. Beta / VHS was split out amount regions more than anything in the midst of the warz. If MS was "bankrolling" the HD DVD, they did an awful, half-assed job of it.

Wrong. You could turn on random crimes before that. I think this is wrong as well. Co-op mode along with the Keys to the City DLC broke save games for a little while, long after the game itself's release. There might have been something previous to that right at release, but that's the only co-op bug I've heard of. Just what are you implying here? Thanks, I may look into it for some local multi with folks.
