I still don't remember her. Or even the Smackdown Diva Search, for that matter. I think she means explicit spreading, but regardless, she sounds like Sable expressing her outrage after being fired. In her case it's even worse because at least they were using Sable as a wrestler and she was decent for a WWF woman in the ring at the time. I believe WWE would call Joy a "team player." Rochelle either never saw what the regular Divas do on TV, or is just stupid. I always get a kick out of Playboy models trying to make what they do seem more dignified. They love to equate it with posing nude for a work or art or something. Yeah, the average Playboy subscriber admires the attention to light and shadow, the angles and poses themselves, etc.

Didn't see that "fighting game origin" provision. In that case, instead of EWJ may I nominate Mike Haggar? Beat 'em ups are close to fighting games, and I seem to recall Guy in one of the previous ones. Plus he's in the Slam Master games, which were fighters of sorts and take place chronologically before FF.

Bubsy. First game was mediocre at best...well over 10 years ago, so today it'd probably be considered bad. Bubsy 2 was AWFUL. The Jaguar game I remember reviews being "eh" for. Bubsy 3D sucked heavily, too.

I think it was a year or two ago Cena when partnered with Buchanon said the Guerro's were only good for mowing lawns, which is kind of a manual labor jab against mexicans only being good for that kind of stuff. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think it probably goes back at least 8 years when Eddy was getting those sorts of signs all the time in WCW.

*remembers when there'd be a rush to post this Sunday night* At least they're promoting a match for this show.

Harvest Moon 64, Mario 64, Ogre Battle 64, and Conker's BFD for $7 each. Kirby 64, Mario Kart 64, DK 64, and Banjo Tooie all for 12 bucks. Link's Awakening, Oracles of Ages, and Minish Cap all for 20 bucks.

He's just been dicking around ever since the match with Cena at WMXX, really. -
I don't think you need to second any votes. I'd give Ibuki one, though. Cute kunoichis = My nominations: Geese Howard - Might be an obvious choice, but sometimes bosses are forgotten. Awesome character design, very menacing presence, awesome moves (and often cheap as hell), and one of the greatest stage themes in a fighting game ever. Lord Raptor/Zabel - if Darkstalkers had sucked, it's character designs would still be worth mentioning. First time I played the arcade game, I was drawn to this crazy-looking mofo. A heavy-metal shredding zombie mofo who can stab you with his own ribs, kick your ass and dance on your body, turn his limbs into chainsaw blades, and roll you up into a ball and slam dunk you. (Plus he's representing the Aussies, UYI.)

The controls were indeed poor by current standards, but you could quickly roll to face the other direction, you could run while shooting (hey Capcom, would that have been so hard to do?), and you could jump backwards and side-flip while shooting. The combat wasn't a problem in wide-open areas (well, except when fighting that T-Rex, but in close quarters it was a little harder to deal with. I didn't really "trade shots" with any baddies (the rare ones that were armed humans), but they'd sometimes get in a few hits. The biggest problem was jumping. It had that annoying, PoP-style "no, don't jump a split second before getting to the edge, rather HOLD the jump button down about 3 game feet before approaching the edge and watch the automatic jump animation."

Except that they're committed to making this one actually good, deadlines be damned. Plus they're not being pressured to coincide the release with a new movie in a shallow synergistic attempt to milk Lara's teets like they did with AoD. The original creator's on board and seems to be well in touch of how much the genre and similar games have evolved, as well. I'm not enthused about the main character, though, but the game looks like it could be a winner.

So, nobody cares? Harsh.

Angle/HBK will probably be great 'n all, but seriously--how often do rematches on a throw away PPV top a WM match? HIAC is ruined by it capping up a feud that should have ended at Mania, and the result being extremely easy to predict. Kane vs. Edge--the wedding was awfully funny (emphasis on awful), but it doesn't make me want to see a match. It would be great if they put Edge opposite somebody who wasn't quite near the top of the rankings, but egged Edge into accepting a match where he puts the MITB shot on the line. But since we need to get Edge on screen with his RL girlfriend and publically wank over the Hardy situation, we get this mess of a feud. The Triple Threat reeks of "who gets to be HHH fodder," and the winner seems fairly obvious. In a nutshell: a possibly good card undercut by questionable booking.

Her wierd smile and lazy eye don't do it for you? My girlfriend said: "Is she trying to pull off sexy or sick there?" at one point in the film. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> At least Holmes admitted she was the least sexy of any of the Bat-babes, and I'd totally agree. Even counting Silverstone, who was rather chubby in B+R.

oh no, there's no hate going on there, that game kicks ass! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The arcade game is good, the home version blows.

You're not alone, and I think it's better overall than Begins, but since Timm/Dini and crew borrowed a lot from Year One, they don't deserve *full* credit. They'd probably be comfortable with doing commentary since they've already done commentary tracks on the box sets. I'd be up for it, even double-dipping.

...they were plugging "Backyard Wrestling 2: There Goes The Neighborhood"? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Backyard Wrestling doesn't count! I'm just going by the demo in my EB and the opinions of pretty much everyone I know who has played it. -

JR and King shamelessly shill the worst wrestling game since Thunder. They're trying to set new personal records of shamelessness tonight. -

Winner gets to be on Raw regularly and in Playboy. Loser might get to be a Raw announcer *maybe*, but the rest of the losers get stuck on the B show. -
