Why? No Square characters even made it. A few Namcos though. I'd think you'd be more insulted if anything. Unless you wanted to see just how bad it was.

Welcome back Anya; I hadn't seen you on in a while. In response, I'd throw in a "FFXII is gonna blow" comment for kicks, but you'd probably agree. The board's probably going to be dull for a while regardless, since few big game releases come out during the summer, esp. June. By the end of this week we'll probably have a topic on the Batman Begins game, though.

He wasn't *that* bad, but he felt like Poison Ivy, except his rack happened to be on his daughter, his motivations weren't as clear, and he didn't have as many memorable episodes. IMO, the most memorable episodes connected with Al Ghul barely had him in them, like Showdown (Jonah Hex's guest spot) and Off Balance (introduced Talia). Even back when I was a kid I noticed the inconsistency of Ubu stopping Batman from entering first.

One and Only "ECW: One Night Stand" Thread

some here were concerned they would cut out the shoot comments although why would they. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Okay. Nothing there was too extreme, honestly. The Edge stuff--meh, it's well known at this point. And any idiot fan by now should be able to tell that HHH is at least highly favored, and that WWE TV is overly scripted. -

What would they edit? The F word was bleeped out live, ECW PPVs in the past have had more blood in them, and it's PPV after all. I expect the DVD to have some themes replaced, though. -

Oh, the trailer I didn't mind, but the only other major gripe...plug for HHH/Batista on whatever the fuck Raw PPV is next. I honestly don't give .001% of a damn, especially after that. -

Loved Mania, but damn--this was off the charts. The matches may not have been 4 star affairs (and just like every other Eddy-Benoit WWE match, this one was a total "meh." These guys just have no chemistry together anymore I guess), but the styles were replicated just like they should be. The "sports entertainment" crap all worked and was a blast. WWE guys using WWE themes using their WWE movesets was a little weak (I wanted a real Liontamer, damnit) kinda of pulled me out of it, but at least they mostly dressed the part. Falls Count Anywhere in Awesome-Tanaka? I didn't hear any announcement about it. *shrug* Oh well, "THIS MATCH RULES!" indeed. Even JBL seemed to genuinely like it. BWO Mofos!!! "Enter Sandman?" I was shocked, I expected an instrumental version, but they went the full route. The aforementioned continuity was great. Rhyno attacking RVD and the Sabu save (followed by an IMPROMPTU MATCH), Beulah/Francine catfight and attempted 3D on Beulah! Shame they censored the f word though. But, seeing Sandman/Tommy drink beer off bimbos' breasts makes up for it. Bischoff's complete and utter shitkicking was fantastic. Most enjoyable show I've seen in forever. -
It was inside when you unfolded it. On the plastic wrapping there was a gold sticker mentioning the cel and game piece. I ordered mine just before my birthday off Amazon, BTW. I don't know if that had anything to do with it. And yes, Vol 2 is my favorite too, because of those shows, Heart of Steel, Harley and Ivy, Mudslide, and perhaps my favorite of the TAS episodes, I Am the Night. No surprise that Vol 3 seems lackluster after that edition. In a cute touch, though, Croc almost gets him via big rock in "Sideshow" (Batman was unconscious, but a sedative was taking effect on Croc). Hm, I wonder if we'll ever see a box set of Birds of Prey. I'd heard a lot about it but I'd never seen it.

Never heard of Kid Cool, but one of the GameFAQs reviews said PF was a *lot* like Decap Attack. I was surprised to see a glowing review about the Master System version of Bram Stoker's Dracula, saying it was a good game and easily the best out of any of the other games that were made of it. Naturally the GG version would be the same game, but haven't played either one. And who could forget the Game Boy? One of the longest running systems around, period. Not even counting GBC and Advance, too. I'd hoped to get the MMAC for GBA, because I've heard good things about the later GB Mega Man titles. However, the first MM game on GB was eh. I bought the 2nd Game Boy Mega Man...and beat it in one day. Easiest Mega Man game ever; easier than X4. Mario Land 2's good, but loved the first two Wario Land games. WL3 I didn't much care for. Kid Dracula is a very underrated Game Boy platformer. Character movement is kind of slow, but that's my only real complaint. Basically, you're Alucard as a little kid, levels resemble a mix of Mega Man and CV (you can charge your fireball into a stronger one, and gain multiple abilities kinda like MM, too). There's a similar NES game that never made it to the US, but oddly we still got the GB game. Link's Awakening--needs no introduction. A bit hard on the eyes these days, even the GBC-optimized one. Still plays great, though. Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge -- best of the GB CV games by far, and a pretty good game in its own right (for an OG style CV, of course). I've been playing Final Fantasy Adventure (aka Seiken Densetsu) off and on lately, as well.

Nintendo DS likely to be bundled with Mario 64

I've got a Best Buy $50 gift card, so I've considering hitting them when I'm at my nearest location and see if they're offering the deal. -

I didn't own a console until--I believe it was Christmas 93 when I got my Genesis. Previously I'd only get to play for any length of time when I went over to my cousins'. Super Mario Bros. was *the* game, until SMB3 that is. One of my cousins finished SMB2 and showed me the ending. Very cool. Non-Mario stuff we'd play would be Duck Hunt, and I would get hooked on Mega Man 2 (Metal Blade = badass). The reason I got a Genesis first over SNES? Sonic. I'd gotten hooked on Sonic because of various displays in department stores. My parents didn't want let me get into gaming because they worried I'd get addicted, etc. You probably know the common fears out around that time. I'll admit that DKC was one of the major reasons I picked up an SNES. The system was only 100 bucks then and I eventually talked my folks into getting me one for Christmas. I have played some of the Master System, though. Double Dragon was really fun, although after playing the GBA version it was hard to enjoy it as much. However, my brother-in-law's collection is lacking. He has Double Dragon, After Burner, R-Type, and the unheard-of-but-quite-good Psycho Fox. However, no Alex Kidd, no Shinobi, or Phantasy Star. He has Alf too, but only really because it's a MS game. It's as awful as you might expect.

I wasn't trying to make that point. They were pretty much neck-and-neck around winter 94. Sure, DKC sold tons of SNES systems, but it also effectively sabotaged the Jaguar and 3DO. At a time when both systems got magazine ads regularly, and the occasional good game, out comes Nintendo with DKC, saying that the next level is "already here" and you "don't need fancy new hardware for it." This was all a direct part of the DKC marketing campaign. Nintendo took out two-page magazine spreads that discussed ACM. The SNES's lead when the 16-bit wars were over (more SNES systems were sold) probably had something to do with DKC. Killer Genesis games taped off pretty heavily near the end of the 16 bit era, while Nintendo still were pumping out great games, including the DKC sequels. Okay, valid point. Miyamoto may make statements on his own that don't reflect the company at large. I don't think Nintendo USA shares his sentiments, but probably some people in Nintendo Japan likely agree, just because it's Miyamoto. Jungle Beat's as close as you'll get, I guess. King of Swing looks awful. Well, they could have made a new one. Naked Arcade Ape looks more intimidating, though.

That's "We Love Katamari" to you, you filthy round-eye. It gets my vote too. After all, it's the best video game released in the past 10 years.

That wouldn't be a challenge. He gets outsmarted as easily/often as Sting.

Yeah, but after they "killed" him they were planning to just let it run out and not to resign him.

Nintendo DS likely to be bundled with Mario 64
AndrewTS replied to Matt Young's topic in Video Games
"I feel like a chump." You are a chump. You buy a system early that has *one* game at launch that you like. Then 6 months down the line that game is bundled with the system. This is Nintendo's fault how? Downhome got his system around launch too, but he likes a lot of the titles that are out already. "Just makes me happier I'll buy a PS3 and XBOX360 over a Revolution. " Chances are you'll whine about Sony and Microsoft when they do a new promotion, too. And if you buy a PS3 at launch, I'd say there's a strong chance it will crap out on you. It's supposed to be in the vein of Four Swords, though. Minus the thumb strap? -

I'm indifferent about it, because I have serious doubts about its playability without an analog stick, and I own the N64 version already. (<--- future DS owner, waiting for all the awesome games he's reading about to finally friggin' come out.) -

Yuna: if you're reading, by any chance would you know what would be the most popular inappropriate sex scenes possible, based on the slash you're familiar with?
