Pics of Ghost Recon 3: http://screenshots.teamxbox.com/gallery/11...ost-Recon-3/p1/ And...Perfect Dark Zero. http://www.1up.com/do/media?cId=3138147

2nd-hand info from message board peeps who watched the X-Box 360 thing on MTV No real info unvieled, not even stuff we already knew. Just tons of filler and bullshit, just as ghey as the SpikeTV awards, if not more. Very little "in game" footage shown. But...lots of intros!! Yeah, like that tells anybody anything. Perfect Dark and Tony Hawk had some gameplay footage shown, but wasn't really impressive at all. The new Ghost Recon game looks really good. No DoA4 gameplay? Weak.

Well, all three of the main systems don't really have a hell of a lot more in the works. Nintendo/Sony/MS are basically just gearing up for the next gen. Zelda though...sweetness.

Every music video on wrestling shows are like that. How is blowing up the 80's (or whatever the hell went on there) part of the plan?

Being a dickhead in the Sports folder.

http://www.emulationzone.org/consoles/genesis/emulator.htm I always liked Genecyst the most. Check the recent "looking for a good emulator" thread for ROM site recommendations. And yeah, I personally feel Gunstar is the best Genesis game ever made, and it's one of the few reasons I still keep my Genesis around.

Didn't Mike submit his list? Or is it out because of the banning? If you got it, why not put it up? I'd be interesting to see.

Ditto. Thought for sure it was just a typo since it sounded just like he might do considering his building rep. Does it matter much if he's not at the Velocity tapings? I thought that, even though the shows were taped in advance, that the announcers for the C shows just sit in briefly to shoot the transition segments, but actually do the commentary for the matches either Friday/Saturday in a studio, it's edited all together and there we have it.

Here's an excellent new preview of the game. http://www.1up.com/do/feature?cId=3140199 Save for the ugly Beyblade-looking new renditions of Red and Blue, looks like it's everything we could have hoped for.

My list is in now, Flik. Just sent it.

If you like the Fire Pro engine & Japanese wrestling, you'll love KOCII. If not, then you'll think it's the worst. That leaves me with a few questions, especially since the AKI games were somewhat close to 3D Fire Pro from the beginning. Think you could describe the strikes/grappling system a little? NM still had that awkward crouch/crouching attack stuff that works in the game but looks really odd now. And I think Banky was right about the collision detection. The 2D Fire Pros never really got that down. Connecting with strikes could be irritating. Top rop moves didn't have enough flexibility (a moonsault that hits standing opponents separate from one that hits opponents laying down? A little silly and confusing).

I added you, but apparently you aren't using it. Aw, darn.

God forbid I dislike companies bribing magazines to get 9+'s for their games.

I've heard that Fight for New York is crap. That so?

Maybe just an entire controller that resembles a clown's face?

"It's ridlicious how many idiotic fans are out there for wrestling." Did you read over this again before posting?

The long-awaited Boogerman 2 would take full advantage of this technology.

I'm surprised nobody has posted a thread about The Warriors. GI had it as a cover story, but it actually sounds interesting--an updated take on the Beat 'em up genre (based on the old movie, of course). The obvious joke here is if they'll permit a school shooting, but it's honestly what you'd expect from Rockstar, even though they're not developing it. This is rather vague on what exactly type of game it is. School sim I guess? Sounds kind of weird and boring.

Considering the X-Box upgrade runs at 30 fps (every review says this is the same as the N64 one, but is constant in this version), I highly doubt that. I'm using an N64, with the Expansion Pak (which I think it requires anyway).

I meant, of course, the "360" part. Keeping the XB name is perfectly understandable. Never saw that one, surprisingly. Because you want to put 2 games nobody wants in your "Holiday Bundle." The 2nd one is much nicer, but the layout of the first was better. I found the Cube controller just right for mine, but that Z-button and the tiny D-pad doesn't quite fly. Plus, nobody seems capable of making a decent 3rd party pad for it, which is a shame for a cheap ass like me. This is funny, because I'd mentioned over and over again how the PS2 game library blows every other system's out of the water, no contest. Without Halo, MS would have been fucked. Without their old franchises and certainly Pokemon, Nintendo would have been fucked. Sony would have done just fine if you eliminated every single franchise that was a huge hit on the PS1 (granted that would still leave GTA, which nobody cared about on PS1), because the system saw the debut of tons of great series and franchises. Because when I say "X-Box's library doesn't appeal to me enough to justify owning one" I'm bashing the "rest" of you who enjoy it. Even though I've said over and over again that if you like certain genres, XB will suffice. Even though I had previously gotten rid of my first Gamepurse because of the lack of games, and am picking it up now since several games I really want to play are on it, and the new Zelda game is coming out, I'm allegedly, indirectly saying Nintendo is the "only manufacturer who gets it right." And the system I have the most games for, whose games I overall like the most, I have the gall to mention that Sony's hardware are *pieces of shit*--when they are. If they didn't have such great games, I'd never touch their lousy hardware again. I *must* hate it though because it "appeals to the mainstream," correct? Katamari's better than 9 out of 10 of every game on the Gamecube or the X-Box combined, IMO, incidentally. Don't be bitter that Japan doesn't like your overgrown, filthy gaijin console, Jobber. You're taking this entirely too seriously. Not a single one of the new consoles has anything about them to really excite us as far as tangible game experiences. So what's wrong with poking fun at them? This isn't the first time you've attempted to poison discourse between us by making personal insults. For somebody who didn't seem to like Mike all that much, you certainly adopt some of his techniques.

So far, the gameplay seems way too simple, controls seem a tad muddled, and the collision seems flat out bad in places. Rare seems to have known this, hence the chocolate EVERYWHERE. I think all the speech crammed in really took a toll on the smoothness of the animation. It gets surprisingly choppy. At it's best, it is supposed to run at 30 fps I *think*, but doesn't seem like it. I've been playing OOT a lot and have gotten used to a mere 30 fps already, and it still looks stuttery.

Lists are supposed to be due this Wednesday, but with Highland joining like yesterday, I might extend that to Saturday. That would take a lot of pressure off. I'll be finished before then, but tomorrow is going to be extremely busy for me and want to play a few more titles before finalizing my list. chaosrage: I just finished off with the boss that appears under the giant haystack. I'm still not overly impressed.

Dude. You just hit nearly every 14 year old GameFAQs poster troll about the Xbox ever in one post (size joke, "just a PC" comment, all you had left to do was make a blue screen joke.) Damn, I missed one! The funny part is, considering the MTV unveiling and the name, that seems to be exactly the audience the X-Box 360 is aiming at. I thought the XB1 marketing was surprisingly bad. The only memorable TV commercial they had was the one with the guy playing it in the rain-forest. Too many of the X-Box commercials felt exactly like PS2 ones. I'm also reminded of the disastrous Tetris Worlds/Clone Wars bonus pack, which didn't produce any real jump in sales at all. The XB1 was fun while I had it, but too lacking in its game library. If you aren't in love with Halo, it's easy to get bored with it. I like the GC controller, except for the Capcom fighters. The Z button isn't clicky enough, though. The *first* X-Box controller? If you were Damu, I'd understand, but what--are you 7-feet tall and able to palm a basketball? The 360 and DC look white to me. Although next to the DC's controller ports it's grey. SNES was light grey. With purple switches. But the Famicom/Super Famicom always looked nicer anyway. (EDIT: VH is right, at least if it is the same as the earlier pics. They showed it as being silver, not white/grey, but this one doesn't really look silver, likely because of bad lighting. The first US Saturns were silver, you know...) Ironically, save for the hard drive, the Dreamcast was more of a PC than the X-Box 1. Keyboard was provided fairly early on, and had games especially compatible with it, you could surf the internet with it, and early on it's library was plagued with PC shovelware. Hopefully that won't invalidate your warranty, though. No, just making fun of Microsoft's ability to use their vast amount of resources to make a horrible looking console and inept marketing decisions. Sony should make the PoS3 $99.99--but it self-destructs in exactly 8 months after it is removed from the box. For the heck of it, here's a fake, earlier X-Box 2 pic I found: http://home.btconnect.com/hgi/xbox2/xbox2fake.jpg

I mentioned it, actually.
