1.3 GB worth. I hope it'll be ready by morning, but I'm not counting on it. Join in on all the progress bar watching fun now!

I think if you just put in a space, it registers as a nickname. Never tried it since I've never even seen where the nicknames truthfully come into play so I just make up crap. Tried that, but it wasn't working.
-
When editing the wrestler names, how do you choose to *not* give a wrestler a nickname that had one already?
-
After playing Buffy and suffering through the gawdawful platforming late in the game (as well as replaying large chunks of game because of it), I'm hesitant. It makes Castlevania 64 look like Mario 64. The games themselves or making them BC?

Why would that be sure to make me happy? lol Kane and Lynch I thought you didn't like Jeff. Not really. Didn't agree a lot of his points in the TP review (contradictions ahoy), but I didn't really follow his reviews, anyway. This was a dickless thing for CNET to do, though. There are some utterly retarded Nintendo/Zelda fans who were crying for his head, though. Don't lump me in with them.

None that I've found yet. A lot of the old Benoit Germans are still in the game, though. Might be under a different, generic name though.

I'm afraid I can't contribute much to this thread, but I'll repost this, which should help a lot of folks here who might have decent PCs, but maybe aren't sure if they're good enough:

Anya owns it, I do believe, and personally vouches that it's great, and the PS3 version is better than 360. It just suffers from short campaign length (6 hours).

Until there's a development team named, I'll pretend this is still a rumor. I don't get why The Invisible War was changed so much over the original. The original, in my opinion, fit fine control-wise on PS2, and nothing seemed be too complex for a console gamer to digest. A cross-platform sequel could be grand, though. I'm sure your typical 360 FPS fan could handle one that played more like the first game, too.
-
4 years actually, and a good portion on that was developing the Scimitar engine. Ubi Montreal have a problem getting things "right" on the first go. You aren't seriously used to the "can't swim until the sequel!" cliche? Even this new hardware gen cannot escape it! Anya: that's not really a "spoiler," but wow--that's a weird way to do it.

Here's the Eternal Champion (Sega CD version) fatalities: Anyone know where there's a version for the Genesis? I'm willing to bet there's no comparison.
-
-Mortal Kombat 1 on SNES had no rating at the time, because ESRB didn't exist then. It had "sweat" instead of blood and watered down finishing moves. MK1 Genesis was "MA-13" as part of Sega's ratings (the VRC), but the blood code basically made it the equivalent of an "M" game. -The Sega CD EC was a lot more violent than the Genesis release, and got the MA-17. This also holds true with the Sega CD MK, which had the blood code "on" as a default. EDIT: The ESRB has already rated EC for the Wii, and it's a T.

VGChartz isn't exactly reliable. However, a Ubisoft indicates it's a million seller--in just one week: http://www.gamespot.com/news/6183188.html?...estnews;title;0 Sold, not shipped, that is.

1up has posted their Soul Calibur Legends review. The good news: it's better than expected. The bad news: it was expected to be completely terrible, anyway. Hurray for a surprisingly mediocre game! http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?cId=3164500 Even more bad news: even Nintendo Power didn't think it was so hot: http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=175833\ Both reviews, curiously, said it was shallow and short and would have been better served in a bonus mode to a real SC game. Ouch. Gamestop Informer gives it a 4.0 out of 10.

I found a bridge area going over a small canal or stream. I thought "gee, wonder if my badass assassin guy can swim...?" Cliche Discovered - Can't Swim Until the Sequel!

I actually hold out small hope that could lead to a Ghosthunter sequel. Fun, not to mention funny, game, though flawed as all hell. Give me a sequel with recharging shield and a more polished gameplay engine, and you could really have something there.
-
Not exactly. 20 GB and 60 GB have hardware BC. 80 GB has software BC, so it works with a limited number of titles, and is not expected to recieve many updates.
-
I haven't gotten it. I bought 8 rechargable batteries and a charger. 2 batteries for each of my 2 360 controllers, 2 for my Wii Remote, 2 spare that are always charged up and ready if one set dies out. They probably give me about 6 hours each for the 360 and wii varies by game a lot. Is it *the* Play and Charge that MS makes, or a 3rd party knockoff?

Penny arcade said that there's a post-credit thing worth seeing. People seem to always miss those...

I think you mean "gaily." If not, well, not that there's nothing wrong with that. From a lot of the gameplay mechanics I get the idea that they may have wanted to make a ninja game, but worried it would be overshadowed by certain other titles, so went with something they were thematically familiar with anyway.

Flags--longer life bar, AFAIK. The manual has "notes" from Dr. Vidic who says it helps "synchronize" Desmond with his ancestor, so I assume that's what is meant. Flag nabbing, saving citizens, doing all the missions seems to all have that effect. I don't know what killing the Templars does. I haven't nabbed all the flags anywhere except for the informer missions. There's still a few flags I haven't nabbed in the Assassin's village, either.

Anyone interested in the game, but hasn't got it yet: if you have a 360 and PS3, it seems the 360 one is the way to go. Everyone is reporting framerate issues, lock ups, and white screening. Anya's gotten the the first 2, big time. Claims of PS3 version running a bit "smoother" are as big a fraud as the lady who made them. However, the game locked on my 360, but who knows if it is the system or the game... The game feels a lot like Crackdown, and as Anya mentioned, "both the good and the bad." There's informer flag-fetching that's just like the rooftop races, even. Some people called it a medieval Hitman, although things aren't quite that complicated. There's usually only a few ways in, and taking your mark is basically stabby-stabby as opposed to other methods. Anyone know of a simple way to quickly find and identify templars, other than walking around and looking for the helmets?
