jester should bring out Mr. Slave-uh, too.

People buying a Sony system at launch, with their current track record, aren't the sharpest crayons in the box anyway.

Your last name is swirly-worthy, buddy. My hometown area has its roots in Hunky/Czech patches, and I'm related to two college professors. I haven't had any problems over the name at all. Hell, my dad's gotten out of several speeding tickets just because of it. I'm sure it would be unusual for your community, which is likely filled with rednecks, WASPs, Texicans, and black folks with all their generic Anglo-Saxon slave names, though. What about your middle names?

Flair is a whore, just like Foley. Except his tits aren't as firm anymore.
-
Yeah, where's the Tekken at, right?
-
Most of these choices were plugged when you were just surfing around the wwe website, especially the Bra and Panties matches.

Not work-safe...very crude, vulgar, and distasteful...but damn funny: http://www.tlgmedia.com or click the link in my sig. It's on newgrounds but it isn't working for me there. Despite the language, it works cuz it touches on just about everything wrong. The lousy pointy-ness style, the stupid unnecessary powers, the sure-to-be hocked merchandising, the anime-wannabe angle, the bomb that was Back in Action as the likely reason for this, and of course the whole EXTREEEEME thing that's so transparent.

A lot of Gamestops carry used DVDs too, as well as PC games and accesories too, if you wanted to use the gift card for something other then a console game. Good idea. Mine even carries music CDs.

I'm not too sure about that, because the show's drop in quality seemed to be pretty closely correlated with G4's takeover. Nice opinion piece on the G4TechTV/X-Play situation: http://www.websnark.com/archives/2005/03/the_passion_of.html Of course, the key word is *opinion*, and unlike the writer of the above I think that Victor is a douche based on his JD performances I've seen.
-
In other words, they fired that dumbass Tommy and that other douche?
-
My cable company replaced G4TechTV with C-SPAN 2. Good riddance.

They're not easy to snap off, but you can saw them off with a hacksaw or a good knife. You're going to have to be cutting through a quarter inch of hard plastic to make it "even" with the notches that would be on a US cart, plus you have to saw a little the other way to remove it. However, it's likely to leave holes in the sides of the cartridge. Plus, since there's now one LOOONG notch on the Japanese cart if you do it, it likely will be a loose fit and doesn't hold as snugly as it should. For that reason, I went with the gamebit/cartridge backing switch. Well, that and I don't like seeing my games look like crap.
-
I'll buy it for $20. But the shipping for an X-Box would probably be 100 bucks.
-
It may be an import, but if you have a gamebit screwdriver kit, if you buy a dirt-cheap used N64 game (Madden 64, Clayfighter 63 1/3, etc) and remove the back cover, change it with the Japanese cart's back cover--you can play it perfectly. Technically, you can modify the N64 or saw off the edges of the Japanese cartridges, but my way's easier and you don't have to worry about getting dust in your carts.

DVDSpree: Actually, they reversed position on that, and decided to fix it. Doesn't change that it's a crappy attitude to begin with, but they wanted to nip any bad press in the bud I suppose.
-
You see, this is like when they launched the PS2 without any games anybody would want to play, but like in reverse! Sony released games early for the PSP in Japan, too. PSP games are being sold right now actually, and Sony isn't going to be upset about it. http://gmr.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3138877 It's an incomprehensible marketing gimmick. Perhaps you should post on there^ instead, CT.

I always thought the movie was supposed to get called that because you'd imagine the move smushing up a guy's face like all those ugly little pedigree rat-dogs. Miracle Ecstacy - sounds like a drink for men who are just a *little* bit too manly for Zima.

What was the question?

*Third* Stage? I guess they're still going to tease us a while about the last mainer. *snerk* Too bad. When I first read it I was thinking we might get a few numbers with Blayze and Maiden, but even though I like some of BB's stuff, I'd rather see D'ianno. Most rock stars = overgrown children.

Well, it seems like Taker's made about 4 appearances on SD in the last year, counting the 2 in the recent weeks. Loved the Carlito segment. Taker should break Randy's arm so that he might start being entertaining again. Jannetty vs. Angle, despite Jannetty being far from in his prime, was surprisingly good and easily the best match I've seen on SD in a loooong time.

Slapnuts!: If all that's wrong with it is the Disc Read Error, contact Sony and tell them. You'll have to pay about 10 bucks to ship it to them, but they'll fix the system. Sony fixes DRE's for free assuming you haven't opened up your ps2 and broke the seal; this extends beyond the standard warranty. I recently read on a MB where somebody got theirs repaired even though they'd broken the seal, but I wouldn't count on it happening all the time. However, since it sounds like you haven't, you should be fine. They'll probably make you run through a bunch of tests first, then they'll have you ship it out to them for repair. I got $30 trade-in on my broken PS2 at EB, but if I hadn't broken the seal I probably would have gone with Gamestop--they give more I'm certain. I heard $50, but not sure if that's every store or not.

True, but the X-Box has still been a success. It's been so long since a console has been able to "go it alone" without support from Japan that you can't deny MS has made massive gains. Other companies tried: Panasonic with the 3DO, Atari with the Jags, and Sega themselves foolishly thought American developers alone would keep the 32X affloat. Microsoft has been trying to bend over backwards to lure in the Japanese, but their resistance to a *gasp* Western product isn't going to be easily overcome as long as the machine is aimed at and primarily made for Western consumers. Plus, for every brilliant game producer they snag, there's about two dozen who are going to give them the finger (or whatever the polite Japanese equivalent would be). Tecmo's the only gung-ho for X-Box developer, and that's because its most prominent game director is a round-eye wannabe. MS hasn't made any substantial gains this whole time, and it's probably just sheer stubbornness that's driving the futile push into the Japanese market. With the Xenon, they'd need to have a huge start-up library of games that would appeal to Japanese audiences and sensibilities, keep the "Western" games to a minimum, give the Japanese wing of MS a good deal of autonomy and say in that country's corporate strategy, and expect to lose a hell of a lot of money before it does nearly as well in Japan as it does in the US.

They gave it back to Rey and acted like it never happenend after he went around without it for nearly three years. Considering how low profile Psicosis' loss was, coupled with the fact that he was barely used after that, I'd say yes. Well, the problem is, if a lucha gets unmasked, and tries to wear the mask again, people in Mexico get plenty damn pissed about it, even perhaps violently attacking the wrestler. ...at least that's what I'd heard about the Rey situation, and that's why when he was actually in Mexico on his DVD, he was unmasked (they blurred it out, though). Psicosis is from Tijuana (at least I've always heard him announced as being from there), and if he lives in Mexico still, he might want to keep it off. Rey's a native-born US citizen who currently lives in the States. That's a little different. Of course, some of this may be a little off, so if I'm wrong please correct me.

...so, you want him to go to Raw and win the IC?
-
Exactly. I liked Kyle's Che shirt and of course referring to that Hippie Piece of Shit professor (of *Colorado* University) Ward Churchill.
