    PlayStation 3

This could be a bigger widespread issue than the RROD. Aside from playing Blu-Ray discs, the thing that the PS3 was best at in the past year was collecting dust. I kid, but it's possible they had a fair argument. Apple has done the same thing with at least one computer that I know of, because the inside of a computer had crucial components caked with huge piles of dirt, hair and a rich, foul stench of cigarette smoke. Let's not even insinuate this reaches the stupidity and stubbornness of "things break." However, the woman he spoke to sounded like a huge TWA/T. Plus, a Mac can be opened and blasted with a good dose of canned air now and then. What are you supposed to do with a game console that, when opened, causes you to void its warranty?

There's enough graphics whore gamers I doubt it's a real concern. However, graphics whore gamers probably either don't own a Wii, or own an actual next-gen console besides.

There are already VC games that require you to use one of those.

It's supposed to be a Feb release and no screens have been shown yet. So it's up in the air.

    PlayStation 3

Ok, so what about the wireless PS3 controllers themselves. Do they charge when not in use, or do they have to have batteries replaced as well? EDIT: Nevermind, they do charge w/USB cable, but do the controllers come with the USB cable for re-charging, or is the usb cable a seperate purchase? USB cables come with them, as it's like the 360's Play n' Charge kit, but with a built-in battery. The battery is like an iPod or GBA SP/DS battery. When it finally dies it will need to be replaced, but that'll be, like, years probably.

Yeah, going for 100% would put you in that 40+ hours range, but so much of it is stuff you're never, ever going to need (yay, more rupees I have nowhere to store!). You can unlock more fairy fountains, but one is more than what you'll ever need. Cave of Trials is just dull and an excuse for the rupee-eating armor to be used, and that armor is like an excuse for the excessive amount of rupees scattered around the game.

    Assassins' Creed

Game Informer gave it a 9.5/10. I anxiously await a review from a really trustworthy site/mag. However, I can see the way the wind is blowing, and as I expected this game is going to be awesome--despite bitching, moaning, and whining from NeoGAF nerds at how the game is going to be the worst game ever because some old gameplay videos looked rough. However, I hope this game is a lot less buggier than previous Ubi Montreal games. Naruto is pretty tight, though. Assassin's Galaxy is going to be the best gaming week of the year.

I rented and beat Simpsons Game. Funny game. Kind of ****ty gameplay. Really funny final boss, too, almost as funny as Portal. It's a great rental, but don't buy unless you really want to play all the stupid collection-padding and annoying time-challenges.

? When Gamespot released their Zelda TP review, there was a meltdown over the score. A lot of childish Nintendards responded by mocking the rather husky Jeff Gerstmann's weight, among other negative comments. Gamespot dynamited any moral high ground they had with an utterly childish reply from one of the head editors about the situation, though. It seemed to some like Gamespot has been lowballing Wii scores for good games a lot since then.

    South Park: Season 11

Since the creators are also the writers...I don't think they'd be going on strike.

Gamespot score will be 8.9 or 9.0, I reckon.

    Xbox 360

Scroll down. GG2 wasn't so hot, at least from what I played. I picked up Naruto Rise of a Ninja, though. Ubi Montreal pulled off a really fun little game. The fighting engine is simple button-tap stuff (think like the DBZ Budokai games), but I enjoy the platforming and exploration. Feels a tad like Crackdown once you get stuff like the sprint and double jump, but I still feel more games need to borrow Crackdown's skill progression, rather than giving you X skill after event Y, or whatever.

    Wii

I know it's become so common that it's a cliche to say a Wii game looks like an N64 game. It wouldn't be true in this case, even, because the Cruisin' games for N64 looked really, really bad. Plus, tiny, blurry, artifact-ridden flash videos rarely make a video game look good. However, that would be barely-par for about a first-gen PS2 game, I'd say. Might be fun, though. Cruisin' USA in the arcades was fine for some stupid fun for a few quarters. However, I like Outrun 2 for Xbox than any of that series' games.

    Scary games for Halloween

...or at least horror-themed games. Anyone else typically celebrate by sitting down and playing something a tad on the spooky side? I played through and finished Darkwatch recently (although it's basically a Halo clone with a Western/steampunk veneer and starring a vampire cowboy), am playing a budget title I picked up a while back called Ghosthunter, perhaps go hack up some more zombies in Dead Rising, and plan to sit down and play a good bit of Silent Hill 3, likely. Oh, and this sounds totally awesome.

Touch the Dead was supposedly pretty bad. I will have to look into Dementium, as it kind of fell off my radar and I didn't realize it was coming out now.

This may be premature as I haven't played Makin' the Cut, but having played Halo 3 and Bioshock, agreed.
