Another Diva, the main angle built around Joy, a looong Bashams match--ugh. Rey vs. Chavo should be good, but I'm missing the SDs where Torrie would hog up one huge, crappy segment and the rest of the show was actually decent.

I think a lot of that had to do with his theme, his entrance with the BUTT shake and the fact females were swooning over him. So far only Bret Hart, Owen and the Anvil have been able to get away with wearing hearts on their clothing. I think. Considering now that Shawn's an uber-outspoken Christian and is about 40 years old and slightly balding, it's hilarious IMO. Hell, his character always seemed to be to be an 80's male stripper.

Gooker 2005 material here. As a fan of b-movies who doesn't mind seeing Vince's idiotic non-wrestling projects bomb horribly, sounds fantastic. Maybe they can buy up "franchises" going cheap to add "name value." Hell, put Torrie in Barb Wire 2. And see if you can't get Snitsky a part as the villain in Baby Geniuses III.

My guess is that they'd prefer to release it when Kurt is a face instead of while he's still one of the major heels on SD. Yeah, I know--the HHH DVDs--but that's HHH, who gets face pops often anyways and is booked as invincible and cool. EDIT: Oh yeah--and as Shadow pointed out, the F crap is probably a biggie.

EA can go fuck themselves for the sole reason that I have to sift through about 5000 copies of their shitty old games that nobody wants as I'm trying to find some quality used games. Plus, there's plenty of gall of them to release one of the controllers with the "classic" 95 games built in. Gamestops/EBs will give the damn things away to get them the hell out of their store, if they haven't thrown them in the dumpster yet.

When you consider that vast amounts of media coverage are devoted to actors/actresses' sex lives, plenty of people have no lives. Because giving the titles to a directionless Christian who doesn't seem to give a damn and the untalented, unover Tomko is really a huge improvement. Come on, the Raw tag titles mean nothing and there's no decent teams worth giving them to or building up to challenge for them.

Remember Brock being paid to be "exclusive to Smackdown"...but they just made another title for Raw and when Show won the title from Brock they didn't even so much as mention that the championship would be disputable? Neither does WWE. I doubt WWE remembers or cares, because there's nobody on SD that looks to be making a Raw jump, and nobody on Raw storyline-wise would *want* to go to SD.

Yes it will, because if you want your wrestlers to have accurate stats in, you'll have to build them up ONE BY ONE in Career mode, dealing with the crappy AI and the CPU's tendency to get lucky and squash you in three moves (one of them can just be a back elbow counter). Otherwise, you'll have to buy a Gameshark to fix those stats. If you're making a number of real wrestlers for your game, you don't want to have to build up the stats one by one, nor do you want to have them all 98ers, which is really lame. Of course, if you make those wrestlers with the *correct* stats, they'd be vastly underpowered compared to much of the game's roster. The stats assigned to main eventers in HCTP/SvR are laughable. The attributes are a total mess--WWF Raw for the 16-bit systems had more accurate stats. Plus, you could adjust those... And no, you wn't be making a good-looking Lyger in SD vs. Raw, but the CAW isn't as awful as you guys make it out to be. Throw that in with a Online mode that features stuff like street fights and tag team matches, and that'll be a buy from me... Unless they make a *new* ill-conceived stat system that I hate.

I rented Rumble Roses and I think I see what Yukes was focusing their attention on when they were making SD vs. Raw. While the system is a bit "dumbed down" (the 4 different grapples are gone, not as many moves, not nearly as many types of grapples and varieties of moves), it actually feels a lot more polished and smoother than SD v. Raw. There's less of that goofy, unnatural "whiffing" on missed moves and robotic-looking transitions. It sure as hell is better graphically. Of course, fewer characters, no CAW, etc could account for that, too. It's still a close race to decide which is the better game in a second-rate series of wrestling games. Well, third-rate if you count imports. Trivia covered a lot of great improvements about SD vs. Raw, but he forgot that, with the Rumbles, Super Heavys completely break the system, since they can toe kick-gorilla press-toss people out of the ring with such ease it isn't funny. It's fine for easily beating that Challenge and advancing through career mode, but it's kind of dumb to put in the ring out meter, than put in something that makes it meaningless. So, in short, SD vs. Raw plays a lot better, but if you liked HCTP so damn much and you didn't care about the serious flaws in the stat system and online play doesn't spark your interest, probably pass on it. If Yukes still makes the games, they need to work on online mode a bit (among other things...), because I'd rather have a hardcore match than ever play B&P (retarded, Yukes, very retarded).

HCTP's unbalanced engine is absolutely ass, and it doesn't have online play. Yeah, SDvRaw is unpolished, half-assed, has a weaker roster, but it still is far better playing, and you don't need to buy a gameshark to make new CAWs with the proper stats. Despite the CAW bitching, for me--I mostly make original CAWs anyway--I've never had any great difficulties making somebody I really want. HCTP is so overrated it isn't even funny. I prefer SD vs. Raw despite Yuke's constantly slapping band-aids on the proverbial stab wounds.
