"2005 is looking even better!" Big, fat, hairy deal.
-
yeaup, this is fucking compelling TV here.
-
Yeah, that lame ass rehash of the Brock stunt sure solidifies that.
-
Well, sooner or later WWE's going to run out of ideas to cut costs.
-
They were, but a .2-.4 drop is not "significant" at this time. That's just within the normal range. Raw almost never breaks 4.0 anymore, and when they do it usually is just for a quarter hour. Besides, usually the WWE shows that bring in higher-than-usual ratings are, frankly, retarded bullshit. Pretty much all of the post-SurSer Raws were terrible and were, worst of all, booked EXACTLY THE SAME AS ONE ANOTHER AND REGULAR RAWS! People watched. WTF?!

Hardest yes, but best? Insanely stupid level design and bosses, goofy sonic animation and pretty awful control. Heh, I guess not playing a game in nearly 10 years will distort your memories like that. Sonic 1 GG is playable, but if it wasn't Sonic would we give it so much as a second thought today? Although the game reminds me of one of the few times X-Play pissed me off when they showed that you could complete Act one of Green Hill on the GG Sonic 1 in about 30 seconds by just running and jumping once in a while. No kidding, that's virtually every first act in the first levels of every Sonic game. The EEEEEVIL Robotnik music kicks, Palmtree Panic's music really sucked me into the game, and I have few/no complaints about most of the other tracks. Sonic Boom is a cheeseball, 80-ish track, so it has a charm to it IMO. Nothing to really inspire the vitriol fanboys have spewed about Nielson, IMO. Really, blame the localization folks who wanted the music changed in the first place.

Yes it did. Strange--I never, ever saw a GH copy, new or used, anywhere around where I live, and even when I was in New York. *shrug* I bought mine on a Platinum Hits rack a couple weeks ago and just saw it in a Platinum Hits package for the first time the day after Christmas. I was in the Pittsburgh area today, and I did see the X-Box one as a Plat hit, but nothing as far as a GH version for PS2. I think X-Box's requirements for Plat hit are a lot lower than for a PS2 GH though. However, even if a game goes GH it may not have bug fixes--ie, I have a GH Ratchet and Clank that has a (harmless) bug that makes you appear underwater even when you aren't sometimes when you exit pools.

Not necessarily. I don't care for techno all that much, and "Toot-Toot Sonic Warrior" was "ech" to me. They left the "past" music intact, though. Supposedly the Japanese music during the levels actually plays off the Genesis sound chip.

Join the club. Sadly, the PC version doesn't work on Windows XP correctly and I've been having a bitch of a time getting the Sega CD version emulated on my PC. Thankfully I still have an older computer around with W98 that plays the PC one fine.

Sonic 1 GG is okay for it's time but not worth a damn now, Chaos was decent but likewise a "meh" now, and Sonic Blast and Labyrinth are absolutely terrible. Labyrinth is weird...it's a 3/4 overhead maze game type thing absolutely devoid of anything memorable, and Sonic Blast is has GIGNORMOUS CGI SPRITES that take up too much of the screen, control terribly, and have awful collision detection. They should have included Sonic 2 GG, perhaps the hardest and best of the GG Sonics. The Game Gear Sonics are on Sonic DX though, all of them, even the import-only ones we didn't get. The best Portable Sonic of all time, though, is still IMO Sonic Pocket Adventure for Neo Geo Pocket Color. It's basically the Genesis Sonic 2 with some level redesigns and added secrets (puzzle pieces). Smues pretty much answered, yeah. You have to "play" certain titles so many times--GameFAQs has the full list of what to do for each. I'd rather play games on a console than a computer, myself. Everyone knows about the ROMs. Although I'll admit that it's a weak collection when you consider that the Saturn Sonic Jam actually added more interesting content like Sonic World, the movies, Spin Dash in Sonic 1, galleries, etc. The only bonus material it retains from Jam is the manuals, but Jam had the English *and* Japanese manuals (which had concept art in it). The original SMC for GC was put out when they *thought* they could pull off a good emulation of Sonic CD with it, but they couldn't, and ended up just releasing the half-assed SMC we know of.

"Yet they'll allow more than one "Chris" in WWE" And poor, senile JR can't keep that straight, so there you go...

That's basically what I was thinking when I made the comment. Plus Victoria could be plugged back into a major program any time. At any given time, each division has *one* actual angle in it, which almost always revolves around the title. Trish and Lita ended over the title, but there was a ton of (yes, very stupid) backstory and incidental buildup. The CW division had its one angle going, which sputtered to an end while WWE let the Lita/Trish thing blow off with a match that people actually saw. WWE isn't going to give London anything resembling a half-decent push until he either gains 40 pounds or gets fake boobs. And remember that according to the WWE, the top stars within the CW division (Rey doesn't count) are Spike Dudley and Billy Kidman.

The WWE honestly holds the women's title in higher esteem than the Cruiserweight title.

The gameplay (at least for platforming) in PoP2 is good, despite the excessive fighting, some bad music, bad story, the "darker" and "more mature" (my ass) tone. Earlier reviews nearly convinced me to pass on it completely. A rental confirmed a lot of my fears, but they couldn't ruin it completely, try as they might. However, it's loaded with gamebreaking bugs that could end up messing up your save file. Hopefully they fix that. However, Sands of Time didn't go Greatest Hits so I don't have much faith in Warrior Within getting a bug-fixed rerelease. Ninja Gaiden is a fine game, but if you don't look forwards to a lot of combat in your platformers, I'd perhaps rent it first.
-
And both of those are treated "above" the division, with RVD never even having matches with most of the cruisers unless it's a tag match, and with Rey having rarely been associated with it. I hate to steal Keith lines, but fans really do probably consider it the "Jobberweight Championship."

If you're a fucking moron, naturally. -
It's a shame London's return had no hype, but that doesn't mean there cannot be angles going on in the Cruiser division simultaneously. Plus, it's expected that they wouldn't highlight that angle using the precious actual TV ring time that was on the X-Mas in Iraq show. I think probably 95% of the soldiers in attendance don't give two shits about Cruiserweights.

If we were only that lucky. If it does happen, how long do you think he'll be referred to as HHHe-Man on this board? There was already a graphic of it in somebody's sig last year I think.
-
JBL at this point is goofy dork champion Kurt Angle circa 2001, with a bigger hat, weaker contenders, a stable, and about 1/8 the workrate.
-
....I'm fucking speechless. Nobody remembers or cares anyway. They should show clips of it on SD--it'd probably beat most of what they show on SD anyway. Mildly amusing, but there aren't really any big blockbusters out these days. Lemony Snickett's #1 and is still doing lousy.

"Well it seems pretty much agreed upon that the triple threat from Wrestlemania is MOTY for 2004" Was this year really that poor for matches? It didn't suck, but come on...

Except: a) There are already plenty of Sims games out there. b) The nudity is the main selling point, and it's only bare breasts anyway. c) The developers expect the players to have the attention spans to do the Sims stuff to see the nudity. Yeah, right. d) You're going to pay anywhere from $30-$50 bucks and invest gameplay time to see b00bs when you can buy an actual Playboy and see b00bs for...I don't know, 5 bucks right? Fucking retarded. e) I think it's actually polygon b00bs anyway. It's going to be 3rd-rate version of the Sims. Whoop. What loser would buy that piece of shit? There *are* console versions of the Sims out already. I'll ditto you on that sentiment.

Would have helped ease the pain from that snore-riffic tag match.
