You don't know foley. He only wrestles if he gets a Major Payday...He's limiting his matches and he'll be damned if he does a match on a novelty show. Which is why I think he needs a job of doing commentary for Heat. Foley wouldn't stop talking about himself and putting himself over or making aged Al Snow jokes. The world is better off withouth Foley commentating. Let's be glad he does limited WWE stuff and it's mostly promotional and he is serious with ROH. Less dumb ass foley is good. Thanks for reading my mind and posted on my behalf.

Taker: CORN POPS?!??!?
-
Because by the end of the match, Foley would just be a melted blob on the mat. Pack him in ice.
-
Foley bitched and complained about how hard voice acting was when he did Lowbrow (the MegasXLR pilot), so I don't think you'll ever see him do VAing again.

What was the one angle the WWE screwed up?
AndrewTS replied to iliketurtles's topic in The WWE Folder
Oh, I skimmed and missed that. Completely wrong. -
Normally I'd agree, but I don't think the game actually made all that much money and it's rewarding a stupid greedy bitch, so I'm a bit torn. Rando: probably, assuming that's precedent on an issue like this. I'm curious how the idiot game makers let this happen, though. Fake id? Hopefully somebody sues the makers of Playboy: The Mansion.

What was the one angle the WWE screwed up?

"I also must have missed this nuclear heat that Benoit was getting during his run. He didn't even come CLOSE to the cheers a main event superstar would have gotten (and why would he have, they didn't treat him like a Superstar, he wasn't important to the show). " He was speaking about the heat when Benoit won the title, actually, though that could even be argued that it was mainly because HHH *lost* the title. Benoit as champ would get consistently outpopped by Eugene, though. -

Heh, I forgot about the RVD move--I thought it was just the Dudleys and Booker T. I swear they only did the Heyman thing to stir up OMGECDUBISCOMINGBACK rumors, because I don't get it. Surely if they wanted to take him off TV they could have found a better way to do it than that. "A fair balance in the lottery would have made up for *some* of SD's problems, but they really go a lot deeper than just a lack of talent at this point. The whole point of SD since the split was that it was meant to be based on pure athleticism and competition, with the cruiser division as it's special attraction, but they've completely abbandoned that and now I have no idea what the show is supposed to be about." I don't remember anyone saying that was the aim of doing the split, the way it was done. It did, in effect, result in two vastly different products because of who was actually running SD, but even then Vince's stooges had a large say in it. I don't think anyone expected RVD on SD to break out as a major star. His attitude pretty much has doomed him as a midcard attraction, perhaps he'll get a push here and there to attract more fans, but he's never going to headline or anything. -

Honestly, I'd never even considered that angle before, and I'd say the fact that Benoit had nuclear heat after winning the title says that 99% of the audience wasn't looking at it like that. Look, was Benoit jumping to RAW the best possible booking? Of course not, but when do we ever get the best possible booking out of the E? Arguing about how an angle that in reality turned out very well could have turned out more well is an exercise in futility, especially when there are far more serious and damaging screw ups to bitch about. Chris Benoit came out of things fine, in better shape than he went in. The ends of that program, a ***** Wrestlemania main event and Chris Benoit being the most over he's *ever* been, over with the entire audience, certainly justify the means. He's *still* hugely over and could carry the belt at any time, the angle with Edge proved that. Now, after Backlash his title reign got fucked up royally, but that's a seperate issue. I think the issue he had with that is that it still worked out well for Benoit, but it completely screwed Smackdown. Depending on what source you go with, it's hard to say how far in advance it was known Lesnar was going to leave, but the Draft Lottery *should* have balanced things out. Instead, Raw's roster was boosted even more, we had crap like Nidia being moved for no damn reason, HHH's ego getting stroked again when he gets traded back for multiple guys. Oh, I guess I'm neglecting the boost to the tag division SD got...yah... All SD got out of the lottery was the over-the-hill Booker T, who WWE decided was worth 1/3 of an HHH at best, was semi-pushed as a generic heel who echoed the WWE's beliefs that SD was the B-show. WWE created the talent vacuum on SD, leaving the contenders so depleted that they *made JBL champion*. Oh, SD got Taker at some point, but he wasn't even appearing regularly until recently, and he's extremely counterproductive in producing new stars (that people give a damn about), which SD needs. -
You mean the first run of a new Sony system has defects?!??!?! I am *shocked*!

EA signs a 5 year exclusive deal with NFL
AndrewTS replied to MarvinisaLunatic's topic in Video Games
Sega/ESPN sports games carry similar disclaimers. I think they're common for online games. Pretty much, yeah. It's not that uncommon. I think that constitutes part of a "shrink wrap agreement"--if you have a problem with the agreement, don't open the game. -
Or they're keeping things secret so the show will get a higher rating? Doubtful with Undetaker/Heidenreich but still. Is there usually anything worth writing home about on SD these days in general? Didn't realize there was an actual SD scheduled, tho.

put on SD + dye + fake boobs = Booker T's new valet. ... who gets pushed more than him. That sounds about right.

EA signs a 5 year exclusive deal with NFL
AndrewTS replied to MarvinisaLunatic's topic in Video Games
I've got a feeling EA's gonna lose that case. As for the deal, this is just nuts. You don't get any diversity in football games for 5 years. I hope there's a clause for the NFL to back out of the agreement, cause I really think these games are going to be absolute shit. Sadly, I bet EA will do the same thing with the NHL series once it gets back on track and sadly, Bettman would take the damn deal. We might get screwed out of alot of games soon. Any diversity in *NFL* games. Other companies can make football games, they just have to get around the license somehow. As I mentioned before, you could anything from an outrageous fantasy setting to something Tecmo Bowlish--perhaps real numbers and team colors, but no official logos or team names. i.e. Pittsburgh, Baltimore, and so on. "This product is neither endorsed nor affiliated with the National Football League." Is the NHL even worth it for EA? NBA and NFL, sure...but I don't think of the NHL being anywhere near as popular except in Canada perhaps. -

I dunno either, I reckon Molly is gorgeous but putting morality aside, she's hardly the traditional Playboy type is she? She's just well, too normal. Doesn't mean she'd actually be showing anything off... Even though she's not been the prude character in a long time, it still doesn't seem to make sense for her to do anything of the sort in kayfabe.

A friend is trying to find the Japanese import game Berserk (based on the manga), but I don't know a reputatable, well-priced site to find it. TheRage doesn't have it, Lik-Sang is 60 (but free shipping), and Buyrite can eat me. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

The old Corn Pops mascot doesn't exactly scream "appetizing." It looks like Mr. Hanky's cousin from Texas.
