Flik, Vyce: Those are precisely the folks I mean. Those folks are who I'm talking about, and yes, as I've said before--not only are there folks who think Xenogears is the greatest RPG, nay, game of all time (we all know that's FFVII in both cases, though...), but they think it's a work of art deserving universal praise and acclaim. They're the type that Trekkies would point at and laugh and call *insert some insult in the language of those aliens with big-ass wrinkled foreheads that means "loser"*" They're a bunch of sad, pathetic nerds who need some mainstream acceptance of their hobby and latch onto anything that seems to validate their hobby as something worthwhile. I can accept that my gameplaying time is a whole lot of wasted time and it's not going to make me a better human being, teach me valuable skills, or change my life.

What is Angle's hometown challenge building to?
AndrewTS replied to Precious Roy's topic in The WWE Folder
- 1 for WWE Logic for that. Even though nobody gives a damn either way. Although if they go with the Taker thing, it seems kinda early. The belt isn't on either of them yet, and if Angle/Taker is set for WM they'd probably want to put the belt on Angle and let Taker actually win it, so that'd mean Taker isn't winning at Armageddon, and that Angle would have to win the title off, say, Booker before getting to the real meat of the angle. If that happens, it's pointless. There'd be no reason to connection something that happened in December with something that would be happening in another month or so. WWE writers don't acknowledge stuff that far back anyway. Of course, you could have Taker win the belt at Armageddon and feud with Angle for three months, then remain champion at WM--not bloody likely. Aside from Angle there's no heel challengers worth pushing to feud with Taker. Theoretically, we could have Angle win the title on TV, and send Reigns and that other guy against Taker in two successive PPV matches, though. Why this would prompt Taker to go after Angle though, I don't get. So basically, if they go with Taker/Angle, I can't really see anything with *this* angle tying into it. Taker's character hasn't given a damn about the rookies, and after he'd given Orlando his blessing, why would he care? Is there anyone worth a damn expected to debut on SD soon? -
What does everybody want?! Carpet! Meh, they could at least change the Camel Clutch around a bit... Hell, even Jinsei Shinzaki's Goku-Raku Gatame (?) would be good. The bitchin' cross-armed Clutch? Yeah, pretty sure that's the correct name.

I've been had by this before. You can bet I'm gonna wait to grab both Spider Man flicks. Good idea--I've been being wary of doing that when they were putting out the huge boxes with the first one out, when it's basically set in stone that it's at least going to be a trilogy.

He didn't constantly start post-whoring threads and act like a stupid douche, so he wasn't really in the Choken boat AFAIC. *shrug* For the record, has anyone else been banned before who had contributed articles to the site? I remember one of AS' rants being up on the main page before.

Despite what you might think, most Muslims don't hold Europe in exactly high esteem, no matter how much they roll over and lick their boots. Don't forget, it was EUROPEAN imperialism that created the modern middle east and many of the wonderful problems we have today. If Iran hit a neutral, civilized, democratic, freedom-loving nation like Germany it would really hurt their case, though.

They'd have to pay somebody who speaks both languages to subtitle it otherwise? Come on, it's an effective cost-cutting measure. Heheh, JBL basically calling Cole a moron for asking him to reveal his match strategy for the F4W match when, honestly, he's absolutely right, was amusing too.

Did anyone else get a laugh out of this? I'm almost convinced this was originally written about Japan and edited. It would make much more sense and be more persuasive if so. Actually, the 2000-2004 President who was screwed over royally created it, silly.

Crap--I had a long post breaking it down and the board auto-signed me out. Well, here's my summary of my lost post: First off, you have to believe in the humanist perspective to buy the argument at the core of this. Secondly, the ones "working themselves to death" are usually the ones who do so out of *choice*. This guy can't make up his mind if it is out of "necessity" or to get the money to keep up with the Jones'. Obviously, crappy jobs will require lots of hours, but both instances aren't going to be the case for any one person. Thirdly, we haven't had a "free market, capitalist" economy over 60 years. McDonalds and Wal-Mart must be stopped, by the way. They're replacing good fast-food and retail jobs with horrible fast-food jobs and retail jobs (right?)! Finally, "values" aren't equal to moral values. Values are what you value. If you give people better jobs, more money, and less hours, there are plenty of them who will want a better job than that, even more money, and they'll work more hours to do so. Poorer communities have more crime, and that I won't deny, but that's not making the connection he's trying to make.

Eh, I'd wait until a double-DVD set was announced, cuz that's probably how it will be done. However, you know the way it works: it'll be announced shortly after you've bought the DVDs separately. It ALWAYS works that way.

CronoT: Because Amazon reviews are so trustworthy... http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...ogames&n=507846 http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...&s=dvd&n=507846 http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...ogames&n=507846 ("A gamer," you're an idiot.) http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00...8213332-9753607 (Revised: "A gamer," you're a fucking mouth-breathing crack-baby idiot.) The B&R review I knew about in advance, but the rest I just did random searches on, and voila.

I'm gonna get the Rumble and Mania... Orton winning the Rumble... Orton in the main event of WM... I rest my case. Pittsburgh gets the lousy lame-duck stop-gap PPV, and it's a SD PPV. Thanks, Vince.

It must have taken a whole week to work those atrophied muscles back into shape.

Complete Shot from Taker. So *that's* who uses it. --the more Physically Intense Downward Spiral, stolen from Kanyon, but of course invented by Nova.

About 5 less than Raw. Raw would get barely more than this if it were taped. Imagine reading in Raw Spoilers that not only had Battle Royale been changed to a BR for a title shot, but that they pulled a RR94 finish, then had a tie ending to the title match with no official decision, and those were the *interesting* portions of the show.

No, nobody was asking.

Teddy: Now I'm going to kill what little suspense this angle had and foreshadow the heel turn.

did Bradshaw script this?

The only way this segment could have worked would be if Foley were here.

And here comes HBK with a wig on.

Oh wonderful. THREE Diva-centric angles on Smackdown.

He certainly sounds like a Virginian.
