You see... 70-79 wouldn't be bad if that hadn't become the standard bearer of "meh, it's ok" for every fucking review. It isn't, though. See how the same exact game's rating differs on various gaming sites and magazines. Ratchet and Clank 3 getting a 10 means it is a good game, but the rating itself is meaningless. I've rented/played/owned plenty of games in the 60-70% range that I've liked a lot and felt were good games. Of course, stupid ADD-ridden casual gamers would rather not have to *read* a review, and rather look a single score, or maybe breakdown by categories.
-
Could some one please tell me when 70-80% became a bad score? I wouldn't count on being able to rent it around here for a week or so (SD vs. Raw took until second Friday after release), but it looks like it is worth a shot. I'm bored with SD vs. Raw, so I may opt to return it to Hollywood Video and see if maybe they'll shock me and have RR in.

Naw, that's what Sea Lab is for. IMO: SGC2C was WMS' development phase. ATHF is their peak. Brak Show/Harvey Birdman is mixed--sometimes really good, sometimes really lame. Sea Lab once in a while gets decent eps, but on the whole it's terrible, especially since they lost Murphy. Naturally, a lot of it probably has to do with doing all these shows at once. Yes, I know it isn't the same team doing all of them (basically, people hop from project to project, with no real fixed teams for each show), but it seems obvious where they put their effort and where they don't. One episode in, I'm hooked to Super Milk Chan. Really messed up show, and hilarious too.

Positively Downhome, everyone!

That wasn't such a horrible Smackdow--wait, we got 40 minutes to go?

Last I heard, he was going to work the match at Survivor Series, but in serious pain. He's going to need three months to recover from some surgery So I guess that means he'd need to drop the U.S. title as well, in a different match. Think we'll see a house show switch? Carlito's gonna miss Mania then, sadly. I think his wrestling sucks, but I'm starting to dig the character.
-
I think Carlito's music is a remix of a song stolen off Sonic CD.

Dames was scared out of the thread by that "Top Model" commercial.

JR in Cole's headset probably was screaming JBL's height, weight, and football stats.

I don't think I could realistically see him beating Spike Dudley, I'm afraid. (He's the champ, right?)

You just missed Tom Arnold vs. a midget.

...and on FSN, apparently we've flashed back to WCW 2000. Naw, more people in the crowd.
-
So, you're saying that Kidman is both awesome and lame? That doesn't make much sense. *Rey* Pardon me for getting a couple of those damn flippy midgets confused. I didn't think it was going to take that long...
-
Kidman and Chavo's awesomeness is cancelled out by Spike and Kidman's lameness.

Mae segments get ratings. No, I don't have any clue why...

Why is this still on? *flips back to the OC*

I'm just used to WWE's bullshit in situations like this. They'll say "OMG MAKE OUT WITH A DIVA OR BE SPANKED BY ONE" or some shit, and it's just Maye Young. It couldn't get any more old and cliche unless they said "Tonight Mae--you face KAAAANE!"

You must be psychic...or read spoilers. Anyone who bitches about some one "spoiling" that can blow me.

Sony explained they consider it an "enthusiast" device that anyone who was interested in getting has already gotten by now. How many games actually require it, even? I think also that the actual profit Sony would make on it is low, so it's better for them to soak you for memory cards. MS, on the other hand, take a hit with the XBox primarily because of the hard drive, and MS themselves were saying they'll probably leave it out of X-Box Next.

Metal Slug 3 or Sonic Mega Collection Plus?
AndrewTS replied to USC Wuz Robbed!'s topic in Video Games
Comix Zone is pretty good, but you can get it for a couple bucks used for the Genesis. The Game Gear games are...well, some of them are okay, but they passed up putting Triple Trouble and Sonic 2 GG (the hardest Sonic game of all perhaps, up there with Spinball) and put in the AWFUL Sonic Labyrinth and Sonic Blast. Sonic Adventure DX has *all* of the GG games, too. So I think only The Ooze (sucks) and Comic Zone (good, but not worth it by itself) are truly new to Plus (Ooze and CZ were in the Japanese SMC, but not our version). By that logic, you'd go for the Metal Slug 4&5 pack over MS3. -
Metal Slug 3 or Sonic Mega Collection Plus?
AndrewTS replied to USC Wuz Robbed!'s topic in Video Games
Metal Slug 3 also may end up a rare item. On the other hand, you'll have tons of SMCs to pick from used for about 10 bucks later on. I've got both, though. However, I also have Sonic Jam. I think they've aged very well (the Sonic games), but the GG ones aren't worth bothering with, and not all of the Sonics are great. Comix Zone and Ristar are very good games, though, so you get an excellent value out of the collection. The inability of them to squeeze Sonic CD on it *still* is disappointing, though. -
Naw, just because a) Gene's awesome, b) Lita sucks, and c) face Jericho is hella lame.

Moderates get the luxury of mocking and parodying both sides, though. Remember Gore and plenty of Dems plugging Day After Tomorrow? It seems any lousy movie that tells people what they want to hear will be bought by people. Michael Moore apparently is a fan of Michael Bay, too. Not only do a lot of Dems like the movie, but they'd place it up there with their favorite political films: Some odd choices there, too. The American President liked more by Republicans than by Democrats, let alone making the top 5? Well, I don't think "the majority" or whoever was insulted. However, I noticed that now a lot of Democrat supporters have shifted from insulting President Bush...to insulting President Bush and the Bush Electorate. Prior to the election they mainly targeted Bush and didn't really comment on the voting public either way. However, a lot of people seem to identify with Bush and found Kerry more distant, and took offense to a lot of things said about him. Considering that they'll want to appeal to as broad a base as possible in 2008, the DNC itself probably should make sure it tries to accomodate all the voters while not attempting to alienate them, and maybe tighten the nozzle on some of it's more virulent BS spigots. DNC officials being buddy-buddy with Moore doesn't really do them any good. Only Moore himself is benefitting from that.

Sounds like a completely skippable, nothing show, even for a pre-PPV one.
