She's such a big moneymaker they have her on TV once a month or so, because if they make her a recurring character, she tanks the ratings. Long-term ratings reports have confirmed this. She's on Smackdown.... The only thing she has over 5,000 other blond models is that she's already been promoted and is fairly well known. Aside from that, she's expendable. They'd just have to promote another woman in her place. Since they still promote "established" women anyway, the net cost wouldn't really vary all that much. So if was a troublemaker, they'd not hesitate to cut her, just like other women in the past. They released Marc Mero when those two were still married, I believe. Ditto with Goldust--although perhaps that "breakup" was a semi-shoot. It was before I had the net so I'm not sure. So, for now my main theory is that he's Taker's X-Pac or something.

WWE Logic: Okay, they retrain him in a ground-based WWE style...he does is very well and gets over big for a while; then then job him out, job him out, job him out. He does everything asked of him, gets jobbed and punked out by an ugly, untalented bimbo, shoved down to dark matches and Velocity..and gets released... Kidman uses a style they're not exactly fond of. He botches his finisher constantly--the only good thing about him--injuring himself and other. He can't talk, he acts like a whiny bitch backstage, has never, ever gotten over in WWE...and he still is employed and is getting a push.

WORK!

First time I got Samus, even though I selected Son of a Bitch. Second time--Snake.

Billy Gunn is probably growing back the pr0nstar 'stache as they try to find out which OVW kid should be his new long-lost brother. Oh, Gangrel? I guess we're not stuck in *95* exactly...

Visc is back?! Okay, it's officially 1995 again. Thanks a lot, Vince. Are we sure it is Visc and not just an even fatter Mark Henry?

Darkstalkers 3 thankfully had a lot of extras--but after renting the PS version I was displeased and exercised my option to get the bitchin' Import Version, complete with English Language option. I didn't whine "Capcom sucks!" for not being able to do the nigh-impossible. Playstation Darkstalkers is fine if you never play against the bosses, but Nightwarriors completely tops it, even having the old music from DS. So, again, good port...but the slowdown against the bosses is pretty nasty. Plus, it makes fighting the bosses a lot easier, which depending on your viewpoint, may be a good or bad thing. The Saturn controllers were also a big incentive for non-joystick folks. Although my other Program Pad is on the way and I'm picking up one of the SFAC controllers tomorrow. No. I'd played MK4 a long time ago on the PSX and wasn't impressed. However, I'd gotten the DC one for practically nothing and it just kinda sat around collecting dust. Then once in a while I pull it out and play it. Then I remember why I hate it again. It's just like when I had Xenogears until I unloaded it on some sucker. I said "like," though. Still not a big incentive since you know how much I *adore* MK3 and its upgrades. It's very funny that MKGold was released on a console...and needed a revision.

WHAT? Go out? And leave the comfort of my basement surrounded by my comic books, DVDs, and video games? NEVER~! Sad thing is, there really are people that feel that way. They are called "girlfriendless". What kind of loser would live in a basement?

My odd solution to the GTA Online Play Problem
AndrewTS replied to The Amazing Rando's topic in Video Games
Plus, maybe you'll be able to play those modes--instead of on foot--in cars... -
That post was. ^ Although it is a shame that compared to the 16-bit days, where Capcom would put in extras (SCE has Hyper Fighting in it, somewhat, from what I remember, plus the extra speeds, special moves only, etc.), it is disappointing. Then of course, stuff like Team Battle and Survival ain't very hard to include, and adds replay. The team battle mode in MKII on SNES was the best part of the game, IMO (was hidden via code). I remember Game Players dissecting the Capcom Staff challenge on SNES Super SFII, declaring it was impossible to get that score, and that it was something the staff made up for players to shoot for. Plus, after Alpha 3's World Tour mode, one would hope Capcom would do more. Capcom Fighting Evo, if that is going to be their last 2D fighter, should have the gameplay finely-tuned (since there isn't all that many characters, that shouldn't be too difficult), and maybe stuff it with mini-games and other bonuses like Match of the Millenium had. That's the way they should do it. Hyper was little more than an arcade port, though.
-
Since I can only play MotW on DC, never played the arcade version, and know little about Neo hardware, it's just fine for me. However, noticing differences is understandable. Plus, Alpha 3's home versions had so many extras and bonuses that the arcade didn't, I don't see any cause for concern except for the game itself. Oh, played MKGold...man, this thing is balls. It's like MK3, except there's weapons and blocky characters. Squint and it's pretty much like every MK game that preceeded it. Thankfully they got around to Deadly Alliance, because holy hell they were in a rut.
-
Which never made much sense, because if you played the arcade games, you'd be prepared for the home versions... *shrug* Other than it still being Alpha 3. They *are* used to perfect home ports, though. Although these days they should have every right to expect it--save minor gripes like blood/guns (and if it's that big a deal, SNK fans have the money to throw around for a modded PS2/X-Box). However, I don't know what they expected with Sam Sho on 16-bit. It's a shame that when the mainstream consoles were good enough to handle arcade 2D fighter ports, it was too late to get SamSho II for a non-Neo system.
-
Well, actually, only 90 minutes out of a two hour show is actual Raw programming...you forgot about commercials. But there was about 70 non-HHH minutes.
-
Well, I ordered a copy of SCE... Although yeah, once you get a bit too high, it's only for the sake of novelty.

My odd solution to the GTA Online Play Problem

Okay, that's kinda what I had meant. Plus they could expand it to a "capture the flag" style scenario of teams. -

Sounds more interesting than GTA is to me anyway--however, you probably should at least have to take the seek-ee down, perhaps go hand-to-hand if they're quite stubborn. -
Carmella = future Women's Champ, either if Trish gets injured or they decide to just use her in Christian's feuds. Christy = Torrie's new girlfriend / rival, will promote Chef Boyardee ravioli by eating it..well, you know... ....TABOO TUESDAY!!!~~

Paging Yuna... http://money.cnn.com/2004/08/25/commentary.../column_gaming/ ...that's pretty messed up. Most of them are "who?" but then there's Nina in there. It's kinda funny Namco got into this but Mr. Scary Team Ninja Guy from Tecmo apparently stayed far away.

Yes, which is what spooked me the most about it. It was like Bodydonna Rico. Not like it would be all that surprising if they had given it to Rico--just combine this gimmick with his old one and you have Richard Simmons, the wrestler.

Their old Konami games were awesome. But still...it's TMNT. They're not "real" video game characters! Plus TMNT is just lame in general. Actually, the old TMNT comics are well-done parodies, the new game's going to have expanded gameplay options and all sorts of extra goodies--plus the original TMNT arcade game is going to be included. So, as usual, you're wrong. I don't mind any turtle winning, as long as it isn't Mikey. Valid point with them not really being being "real" video game characters...but they've had several beat 'em ups, a fighting game, and they've gotten a revival as of late. So, they qualify. TSM Video Game Ninja Tournament (Round 2) Cyber Ninja (Metal Gear Solid) Donatello (TMNT) Hanzo (Samurai Shodown) Ibuki (SF3) Joe Musashi (The CLASSIC Shinobi) Leonardo (TMNT) Raphael (TMNT) Ryu Hayabusa (Ninja Gaiden) Strider Hiryu Venom (Guilty Gear)

Green goggles = Holy Glasses, he means.

Wasn't that MKII, actually? I liked those, too. Actually, the Saturn version isn't really all that hot either. It's also missing a ton of frames and it's very noticeable. Sure, Nightwarriors ain't perfect but it's still really good animation. I think the Saturn one supposedly only has about 40% of the animation hacked out instead of 60%. (Although I'm actually curious just how much was hacked out of each). Still, CotA was crap and MSH was a LOT better, so no biggie. When was it overblown hype? I remember hearing somebody in Gamefan complain about "blue shadows" in some version of some Saturn game, but I have no idea what that was about. Although I'm glad the RAM cart came out, thus allowing the awesome version of Vampire Savior for Saturn. The PSX Marvel Super Heroes and vs. games blow huge loads of ass as well. I think they're far worse than CotA, which I felt was at least playable. *You would* like that bastard child of MK and SFII. At least the home version was like a mildly retarded, muddy-feeling version of Super Turbo...without the Turbo, and without good music...and... You and Slayer are right about that. Thank God SFII is so damn good. Actually, Sheng Long does that. He's in Hyper SFII.

Another little gripe: A game called "Hyper Street Fighter II" that only has 3 speed settings?
-
Didn't they have to change the "boxing" format due to actual boxing regulations in the state? I have a feeling that's why everything was changed. Besides, having two untrained (I think) people put on gloves and go at it might be more trouble than it's worth. (See: Brawl for All) Are you trying to tell me that WWE planned this out so poorly they didn't check in advance what the regulations are in that state? I refuse to believe you.

"A turtle winnin would be so lame." I don't know...the new game coming out looks awesome.
