So maybe in the movie Ash has magic added to his arsenal?

"VU Games has tapped the development power of Radical Games, who previously developed The Simpsons: Hit & Run and The Hulk for VU Games, to create this third person action game." Hit and Run was unimaginative and mediocre. Hulk sucked from what I played of it. Not promising, I don't think.

Heh, she's probably out. After her recent behavior supposedly some "insider" said Christy's probably going to win instead. Although they'll probably hire most of them anyway.

"I have yet to see AvP, doubt I ever will until it comes out on HBO or whatever....i do want to personally thank each and every one of you for helping me save 8 bucks by not seeing this movie!" You're welcome. So often people believe "It can't be that bad--I have to see it myself..."

I had a friend in NYC who got stuff from the area, but I'm afraid I don't have contact with him anymore, so sorry, I can't really help you with that.
-
Nope. AVP sucks ass and buckets of blood still won't change that.

The Hulk/Marvel stuff gives me a huge headache. Man, imagine trying to find a precedent for that... It's hard to really favor either side because of there being plenty of good points in either case. -- "Be Cool," starring John Travolta, with The Rock being one of the supporting cast members, opens now on 3/4, having been moved back a few weeks. “Be Cool” is the sequel to 1995’s “Pulp Fiction.” -- Uh--I thought it was the sequel to Get Shorty? After all, that's what I've always heard it reported as, and Travolta's Pulp Fiction character is dead anyway.

Well, lik-sang.com and therage.com are the most reputatable and trustworthy, HOWEVER you pay out the rear end for the privilege. Buy Rite games never gave me trouble when I dealt with them early on, but I'd heard nothing but bad things about them more recently. They heavily overcharge for the games as well as on the shipping. There was a site I had ordered a 30 dollar VPW2 from, but the bastards never actually delivered it. So beware of sites no one you know of has ever actually dealt with. It helps to have connections though--Renegade does, but I don't think his HK friend will get anything for anyone else. Ebay is often really the only way to get a hold of older import games, but you've heard of them for sure. For what system are you looking for games? As for NYC--hit China Town, silly, and watch your wallet.

I don't know the names of all the ninja characters... But free free to name, say, the ninjas in Ninja Assault, Tenchu, etc. for a follow-up poll. Also, we'd include fighting game ninjas in that one--but limit of 5 per game, because I'm not putting every single MK ninja in the tourney. Well, as I said, for this purpose he counts. After all, most video game ninjas don't actually use much or any stealth either. Even Ryu is much more head-on than a true ninja would be.

This is just for nominations, actually. If there are any I missed, suggest them, please.

Thank you, BHK. There are a few interesting ones there, but a lot of stinkers (I guess these were 95, though...)

Man, you mean not one, but two Diesel/Sid matches are available for us to see!? What would the rest of the IYH card matches be?

Good post, although I think that Mike's believe in just what will happen after the elections is really overestimating. I don't expect violence either way, although there will be a lot of bitter political infighting for certain. I don't think as many of the left are as insanely anti-Bush as Mike thinks, however, rarely have I heard of a president that public figures, people on the street, etc are as vocal against. Yet it seems to be very rare when they'll calmly lay out certain policies they disagree with--they take it to a personal attack right away. Very sad, and it's part of why I've become disinterested in politics so quickly when I was very much into them 5-6 years ago. Jobber--while normally that's a situation that's just peachy, I think Mike fears routine, necessary things that should be passed will be shot down merely from where they originate, and if the Democrats win control of Congress, they'll attempt to impeach Bush on whatever grounds they could come up with. That's a little different than having one party control Congress and the other control the Presidency... Also, yes--the gay marriage amendment has to be one the stupidest and most flat-out wrong bills I've ever heard of. Worst of all, it was a colossal waste of time since there was no way in hell it would ever get passed. It was passing out free ammo to Bush opponents that he deserved to get shot back at him.

Agreed with the original post. Bush's policies don't win me over, however, the vast amount of bile, childish accusations, bitching, crying, and complaining over everything by many people make me sympathetic to him out of spite. Kerry himself raising such a fuss and claiming there's a Bush conspiracy to try to soil his reputation as a Vietnam vet doesn't really make me side with the guy either. Rather than attacking the groups themselves, he's hurting himself in my eyes by putting the blame on his opponent. It'd be like Bush claiming that the "Liberal media" is being directly controlled by Kerry and are spreading false stories just because some Kerry fans are heavily against Bush. Also, I'd prefer the whole war record issue, on either side, could simply be set aside because I don't give a damn in either case. Although Bush really should be telling them to shut the hell up, even if he doesn't have control over them. However, in the game of politics you aren't likely to tell some one to can it who is trying to damage your opponent's reputation. I wish they'd focus on the important issues, for once. "I never understood the complaining about one's poilitical party. If you don't like it, leave it, and just register as an independent." THOSE nutjobs?!??!

Japan hates Metroid, too. So, is it fair to say that the Japanese have some shitty taste in games? -=Mike Not really, but certain games that are too "Western" don't turn out to be all that popular in Japan. Stuff like Metroid, Contra, etc. often don't fly well over there. Boxing isn't a major sport over in Japan, I don't think, so Punch Out suffered from it. I don't buy the Tyson controversy theory, either. Americans have short memories, and if people didn't boycott WMXIV en masse because of Tyson, they wouldn't do the same for a game made long before he was in legal troubles. At the same time, it really wouldn't take a whole hell of a lot of work to port Punch Out to the GBA if Nintendo felt they should release it. If they felt like putting Tyson in, they could, and if they felt there was a possible issue with him in, they could make Mr. Dream versions too or put a code to switch between the two versions.

You act as if this is new... circa 1995: *Wrestler A does a transition move on Wrestler B that never beats anyone, A pins B* Vince: ONE! TWO! HE GOT IM--NO HE DIDN'T!

Final Roster for PS2's WWE SmackDown vs. RAW
AndrewTS replied to David Blazenwing's topic in Video Games
"Eugene, as I mentioned earlier, would be a headache to put together in order to satisfy hardcore fans this late into production. This game is only two months away from release. Should Yukes delay the game in order to put NICK DINSMORE into the engine?" Eugene could probably be made very easily--they even had the Airplane Spin in HCTP, after all. If they continue to use the stat system for HCTP, I don't mind the omissions. They'd give the missing wrestlers such shitty stats they wouldn't be worth using anyway. -

Final Roster for PS2's WWE SmackDown vs. RAW
AndrewTS replied to David Blazenwing's topic in Video Games
OH BOY! GARRISON CADE IS IN!! Especially since the non-Playstation games ****ing suck. Personally, I hated some of the changes they made to HCTP. So if those stay, the roster is irrelevant anyway, since I still won't like it, decent roster or no. -
If they didn't remember Brock as WWE Champion was only "exclusive" to Smackdown because he was paid to just show up on Smackdown, then they sure as hell wouldn't remember this, since it's very forgivable.

Japan hates Metroid, too.

At the very least, I think Vince and company will scoop up the copyright immediately, if they haven't already. If they do anything with it--we shall see.
-
This is hardly a surprise, since they were using this name abroad at the time of the lawsuit anyway, just not in the States.

Aside from the braindead & tripe comments, yes, most sci-fi needs SFX as well as storylines that are illogical [seriously, what horror/sci-fi storyline isn't illogical in some way/shape/form?] in the "real-world" for them to be even considered sci-fi. I'm referring to movies that are built almost entirely around SFX, as well as the plothole-laden tripe that Anderson produces, where you're lucky if the movie actually plays by the ground rules it establishes itself, let alone known scientific laws. So don't even attempt to put Anderson in the same ranks as *talented" sci fi directors. You disgrace the entire genre and filmmaking in general. Also, on the contrary, there's plenty of sci-fi that is scientifically accurate, or at least was at the time of its conception.
