    Best SNES Two-Player Games

Saturday Night Slam Masters (2 Player co-op, competitive--hell, up to four players on this one, actually) Wild Guns (Kind of like if Trigun had a game...but it came out on SNES) Sunset Riders (Rarer than the Genesis version, but IMO the better version). Mortal Kombat II (Best version of the game until...well, at least until Midway Arcade Treasures 2 comes out) Contra 3 (shoot, kill, blow **** up, kick ass, take names, enjoy the awesome effects...wish I hadn't sold this game. Argh!) Zombies Ate My Neighbors (Very cool game) Ghoul Patrol (Sequel to Zombies Ate My Neighbors, with better...everything; nuff said) Total Carnage (If you don't pick up Midway Arcade Treasures 2, this is worth snapping up). Secret of Mana (1-3 players!) Lost Vikings: Action/Puzzler. Fatal Fury Special: Rock-solid 16-bit translation, still worth checking out if you can't get ahold of, say, a Saturn to play any of the Real Bouts. I'd also like to take note that the SNES was totally screwed out of a good 2-Player Batman how many times. Batman Returns and Adventures of Batman and Robin really could have used a good 2-Player mode. Sure, stuff like that crappy Batman Forever game gets one but not those. Nooo! TMNT IV: Turtles in Time is a good choice. It's not as good as the arcade, but a fun beat 'em up. I've heard some say that X previous game was better, so others may wanna chime in on that since I'm not sure.

PPV schedule for 2004 and 2005

Pittsburgh finally gets another PPV... ...but it's a Smackdown one. *sigh* Maybe by February SD will be good again. How much will going to a PPV like No Way Out probably cost?

    Kristanna Loken In BloodRayne

"wasn't Unhappily Ever After the one where the dad had the stuffed rabbit in the basement? " Yeah, it was on WB. I guess you could call it a Married...with Children rip-off--even though the MWC writers actually made it.

    Alien vs. Predator

Care to expand on this? "Whoever wins...we lose..." The Predators don't actually have designs on killing all the humans on earth, or taking over the planet, or anything like that. Their goals aren't conquest, but simply to hunt down, kill, and collect trophies of their prey. If the Predators win, we win. Maybe a few unlucky humans, if they get in the way of the Predators, could be in trouble. Maybe they'll make a few quick stops to take on some earth fighters who they'd think would make good trophies. However, the Predators don't really want to get rid of us all or control our world. Precisely--so why play it up as if they may ultimately want to conquer us? and that chick in Predator who was about to arm herself. I think it is either strong humans or anyone armed. Remember that Arnie fought that one Predator hand-to-(clawed) hand, so it obviously isn't just those armed. Perhaps some one who read the comics could give a more precise outline of the Predator rules of conduct, although that doesn't mean they're all going to follow them to a T.

    Sequels or Games Never Made...

I'm actually kind of curious about that. Rare's status as a 2nd party developer during that time with Nintendo makes me wonder about it. They've ported DKC to GBA and are also doing that with the sequel. I'm not sure if they had to pay royalties to Rare or not for that. Sure, Nintendo owns Donkey Kong, but they didn't make that game. However, Nintendo apparently owns the revamped Rare likeness of Donkey Kong, since that was used in Mario vs. Donkey Kong instead of the classic likeness. So maybe all of the Rare properties produced under Nintendo are owned by Nintendo. If anyone still has a KI or KI Gold instruction manual, perhaps he/she can see if there's some copyright information in the back about it. I know that often parent publishing companies may hold the rights to certain game properties, and often have different developers make sequels when the original developers don't want to make it or have left. A KI3 would require major gameplay revamps like Deadly Alliance, IMO.

    Top RPGs each system

"Well at least you said more than 'I disagree, I don't rememer this part, etc.' I haven't seen Evangelion, most everybody uses that against XG. But compared to other RPGs, and not anime, it's still original. (Don't mention any Evangelion RPG)." Those cases I was giving you the benefit of the doubt, since it's hard to really argue over certain aspects of a game you played about 5 years ago. It's hard to say either/or about the soundtrack, for instance, since I haven't heard it in so long. Although my point was that games I haven't played in a long time with good soundtracks usually have at least a few that stick with me. I still often find myself humming music from Suikoden, Chrono Trigger, Mana, and so on, but nothing comes to mind for Xenogears. Just wasn't my bag I suppose; so I said so, but that doesn't mean it wasn't good nor does it mean I'm saying it was bad. Also, I only really mentioned that part (storyline) because you touted it as original. I'm surprised Flik and I had so similar an opinion about it, because there so many RPGs he likes that don't really interest. To me, an RPG can be far less than the sum of its parts if the ones most important to me (gameplay, pace and manner of storytelling, dungeon design, etc) don't really appeal to me. Because of: the weak dungeons and the manner you had to traverse them; interminable pace of the story; two battle systems, neither of which interested me; and naturally the second half of the game--well, it makes all of the good points moot to me, and keeps it far away from any list of top RPGs for me. So while I don't actually consider it a terrible game (like Xenosaga), I don't consider it a gem either. Of course, I do have a habit of sounding harsher about a game than I really should, since even a game I would objectively consider good I often absolutely hate (MGS2). Then there are games that I think fail in some crucial aspects that I see getting ridiculously high ratings, and I simply don't get it. Lufia 2? Probably few have played it, so can't say either way. Although I can't honestly come up with a definitive list of SNES RPGs, because there are so many I haven't played, most of the RPGs came out in the US for SNES were Square RPGs, and so many of the ones that came out here had terrible translations.

    SmackDown from JHawk's Beak

It depends on how the hold has been booked. The anklelock was booked like death for Shamrock and didn't need built up throughout the match. However, I'd argue that as pussified as the anklelock has been booked recently, I'd say it would be logical to at least weaken the rest of the leg to reduce/prevent chance of escape. Although the hold isn't the huge joke that the Walls of Jericho is.

    Top RPGs each system

So, if they'd have had the time, money, etc....it would have been more like Xenosaga? Perhaps Monolith should be limited even more with time and money. Glad SO3 posted his reasons, though. Even if I disagree with more than half of them. "The storyline is original, and the writing is engrossing. Not a single character is boring." Storyline isn't really original, since it uses much of the same sources for inspiration as was used with Evangelion. "There is not an RPG in existence with a better relationship between its main characters. Fei, Elly, and Citan are intelligent and I enjoyed watching them." Don't really know or care if this is true. "It has a sense of humor. The game can be deathly serious, at times disturbingly so. But there's still something to relieve the tension." Like Furby crucifixions? I don't recall anything else exhibiting a sense of humor in that game, although I admit it's been, like, forever. "The directing is superb. I was never bored with the long scenes." I really was; difference of opinion there. "Like most RPGs, it starts out with a rather small, concentrated problem, then evolves into a large disturbance that affects the whole world. But the manner in which this was done sets a new standard for all other RPGs." Didn't really jump out at me as "setting a new standard" or "brilliant," so what can I say? "The battles are appealing. Gear battles, just decent, but all the boss battles are great." I inherently hate most turn-based systems, and the ugly, blocky, pixelly graphics, gimmicky combo battle system, cluttered perspective for the Gear battles, and nearly all of them being laughably easy and lacking in variety didn't win me over. Plus the dungeons all sucked, IMO, with boring designs and terrible controls for the "platforming" sections. "There are beautiful images in the game, such as at the Cathedral, without using state of the art technology and graphics." Sure, why not? "And it has what is definitely a candidate for greatest soundtrack in the history of game music. Every piece of music is perfect. It's a long game, and only two discs' worth of music, but none of it feels overused." Difference of opinion. Don't remember any of it, either.

    WWE Releases Sakoda....

Nah, he'll be a TNA Reject turned WWE Reject. Just let him go back to Japan where wrestling isn't a joke. Uh--Yang's a native Atlantan, I believe. Although I would suggest he not do any big spending right now.

    Sequels or Games Never Made...

...or call it something else. Are they actually even making that game, or was it a "just in case" copyright? Wouldn't hurt to change the title, because a) probably no C(h)rono in it b) people who didn't like Cross may be a little reluctant to try it for that reason c) the actual sequel to Chrono Trigger, a text-based game called Radical Dreamers, didn't need the "Chrono" either. ...or they just could renew it. Either/or. Sega could make another Oasis game, or Crystalis could get a sequel. I'm surprised Sony hasn't personally tried to get one of them or another company of talented persons to work on such a project, since it would give the PS2 a huge edge to have a good Zelda-style game of its own. Shame about the new Ultimate Muscle game being so weak--now even more so I want a new Slam Masters game. I guess wrestling isn't so hot these days, though.

Because people would worry that Bob has it all day and in everything he does. The commercials already imply that. But they also imply that Enzyte works like botox. Meaning it would take the wrinkles out? See: Harvey Birdman, the Botox Droopy episode. Same effect! Spike is heel, because the Dudleyz have been so pathetic they needed him to help them, just like I said a few weeks ago. LOOK OUT LONDON AND KIDMAN! THEY HAVE SPIKE NOW!!
