The Tekken 3 for PSx was ripped to shreds? Don't tell me SFA3 was, because despite the smaller sprite size and missing animation, that was praised heavily by everyone, I believe. If those are too old for valid examples, I don't know what to say. Arcade games come out in trickles these days. Plus, why shouldn't the SNK community expect perfect ports? The main reason to get a Neo Geo is to play perfect ports. Today, we're in an era when the home systems equal or exceed the power of arcade machines. Why should we expect or tolerate half-ass ports? Arcades are dying, especially ones that only really have older games. Of course, MK1 in the arcades was *still* awful, and at least the gameplay was preserved on Genesis. You know I think MK3 in any form sucks, but I'd think they'd be most familiar with Trilogy on PSX. However, I think the MK3 version on SNES was still stellar for the hardware restraints, since my cousins had it while I had the PSX version. Aside from a glitch in the PS2 version of the first game, why would there be? I could only imagine that happening if they port the Saturn version of MKII rather than the arcade one. Oh, and for your pleasure, a rantview of MK: Annihilation: http://www.jabootu.com/mka.htm

A whole bunch of news from the WWE
AndrewTS replied to Open the Muggy Gate's topic in The WWE Folder
Supposedly Nathan Jones got worse after going through WWE reprogramming, based on his WWA matches. However, I suppose Heidenreich could only get worse if he had begun paralyzing or killing all his opponents in his matches, rather than just dropping them on their heads and causing minor injuries. Just MAYBE he's as good as Tomko now! -
For your own sake, pay with a credit card. Driver's Edge I know gives you the best exchange rate. In any case, the rates they have in USD are total ripoffs, since they're usually not going to give you a good exchange rate.

Weekend Boxoffice Report July 30-Aug 1
AndrewTS replied to Youth N Asia's topic in Television & Film
Dump her. Do not accept bad taste. And if she wants to see Thunderbirds, file for a restraining order against her after you dump her. wait...does she like Cubs baseball? Maybe she doesn't have bad taste and she's just a b-movie/MST3K geek... Lord knows that's why I'm considering planning going to see it with my free pass. -
Would you say they're the only ones (in TTT)? Because if so, geez, that's hardly a problem. They should dominate, especially the Ogres.

In the comics, sure, but if you consider JL and JLU to be a linear progression from Batman TAS, it doesn't seem to be too true. Overall, he's seemed to grow emotionally in a very healthy way in those series.

Green Arrow's superpowers are like Hawkeye's from the Marvel Universe: Superhuman agility and superhuman eye sight. Basically, he can fire his arrows from any position, even upside down in mid air, and he can almost always hit his target. Green Arrow is like Batman, in that he's a hero, but he's still mortal. It makes him seem more human, and that means people relate to him better. Uh--basically all of them are mortal, but Batman doesn't have "super powers," while to a certain extent it appears Green Arrow does. Yeah, but in either case... Plus, I've seen a hell of a lot of people complain about Bats' lack of relatability. He's rich as ****-all, after all.

First off, of a review of sorts for Starcrossed...although it's more of impressions of the series than it is an indepth review. A lot of it I agree with (especially the part about the double-dipping disc release system. I want JL season 1, damnit!): http://www.jabootu.com/netflixweek2.htm#jl That being said, so far I'm very impressed with Unlimited so far. Of course, Green Arrow--he's not superhuman, right? Yet he seemed to be far stronger than faster than any normal human...plus the arrows holding up that truck--uhhhh? However, it's a great introduction to his character and his reservations about joining the league. Stewart's cool as always. I didn't mind Supergirl at all. However, they originally were very determined to respect each government's wishes, but when all hell broke loose, the team just took action. However, they didn't settle just what they'd do in another situation like that, or how that government responded. Would the situation be publicized, or would the League keep it a secret? Of course, half-hour format and all, I know not every important detail can be squeezed in, it's just some things I noticed. By and large I'm very happy with what I saw and await more. Different powers, though. I actually never heard of Captain Atom before now, although I recall a similar concept for Superman Blue. And...well...he was on her shoulder. No biggie. Now, Plasticman once disguised himself as WW's lasso and thus spent a while resting against her thigh...

I agree. If he gives a PPV thumbs up, generally I know I'll enjoy it. They'll probably at least keep his old rants archived. They are. Just go to the rants section at 411Popup. I mean I don't think they'll take them down with him gone. I can't fathom how anyone could bitch about the popups on 411 if they've ever visited 1bob.

See also: Cena, Albert, Angle. Of course, it is irrelevant if the Nathanreich rumor is true. Although, Turdreich getting squashed by Taker is fine by me if it means he's sent to Velocity afterwards.

You say that as if it's a fact. I enjoyed them a lot. What's your point? You're the Sakura of the Movie-DVD-TV forum, in the sense that your opinion is so often such a minority that nobody cares what you think (blue spandex, damnit!). I guess that's the point. No offense, of course. Well, thing is, Ang used those while simultaneously trying to make it serious and "psychological." Then for the last half hour or so it becomes so out there and asinine that any remaining chance you had of not laughing at the movie goes out the window. It's hard to really pinpoint one thing...the whole thing reeked of cheese to me. Even in my first viewing, halfway through it I was more interesting in making Beast of Yucca Flats references than actually buying into the movie. Also, every single character except for our two neurotic main ones were stock, black-and-white characters with little motivation other than "he's good" or "he's bad." Lame.

False, at least as far as the movies are concerned. There are references for Sean Connery (DAF), Roger Moore (TSWLM, FYEO) & Timothy Dalton (LTK) as having been married in OHMSS. In DAD, Pierce Brosnan indentifies several gadgets that he had previously used in the early part of the franchise. They are clearly supposed to be the same guy in the films. So (movie) James Bond is an immortal? Somebody sign Clancy Brown for the next Bond villain! ...you know, Sean Connery *was* in the first Highlander film. It all fits! Clancy played the animated Lex Luthor in the Timme JL/Supes serials, too. Bond villain Tip: cut James' head off! It would also explain how he hasn't died from STDs by now.

Not all that surprising, really, since he already gave up on Smackdown and been rarely even doing the Raw ones. Regardless, it's a big blow for the site, because I believe plenty of people visit it mainly for the rants. And the other recappers I've read on there seem to suck. They need to hire DEAN!~ now.

I'll pass and wait for 3T-2 to debut with the PS3? I agree that the old fart must die.
