We open to...the ****ing Diva wannabes. Great. -
"I don't know what to call it, but this whole thing you went over sounds confusing to a regular Joe. " Regular Joes are stupid if they can't figure out the difference. How is it any more confusing than "World" and "WWE" anyway?

You hear that KKK? No more spunking into a cup for cash for you Me too. Argh! Damn you, PA, take action here! Oh, knocking up a woman and having to pay child support without actually having the sex?! The hell?! At the very least, if he's going to have to pay, this woman totally owes him some sexual favors.

Episode III: It's Vader Time!?

If he was on Smackdown and met the Undertaker, what would the proper thing to do be? ...it's a shame Bret is soooo bitter and won't let be put behind him. He should really let it go and be an adult about this situation like the WWE has been... Really hurtin' for content this time? I guess that's it--Kane v. Hardy at Slam. Which means that stupid angle is going to continue... ...they paint her face white. No way in hell it takes that long. They could turn her into a freakin' Klingon with that time. If so, wow, what a momentual waste of time for *Kenzo Suzuki.* ....sounds about par for the course for the WWE.

*Benoit eagerly hops into the chair in a dentist office on skid row...* "I just LOVE going to the dentist, don't you...? No--no novacaine please, it just ruins the sensation..."

"There's a lot of bitchiness going on in this thread about the stupid title. " It's the only thing really known at this point, so it's going to be discussed. Deal with it.

Yeah, one of my favorites. Mmmm...Duchess. Forgot to reply that I got the Megas figure. Nice detail, stands up well, but it's too small, not moveable enough, and has no compartments or other goodies. Oh well, gotta hope that it does really well and they release a bigger and better one. The top of the car's hood that acts as the head is about an inch shorter than my Mega Man figure, so ya know.

I just picked up the classic Mega Man out of impulse. He looks quite cool despite that it isn't the highest quality figure. Unfortunately, they didn't have any others in the line. Has anyone seen X, Zero, Vile, Bass, Proto? Also, I don't think they're sold in stores at all, but has anyone actually gotten a hold of a Megas XLR figures? It's a kick ass show on Cartoon Network--which started as a short called Lowbrow. The same peeps who did an animated TV show on MTV called Downtown worked on this one. It has a giant robot, lots of destruction, and Bruce Campbell guest starred on it. Am I and a bud of mine the only fans of this show? I wanted to know if anyone ordered the figure and can tell me how the quality is.

Let's see, Austin only had been getting over quite strongly WCW despite his depushing, was a fantastic wrestler who could get great matches out of nearly everyone, got insanely over in the Stone Cold gimmick in WWF, was bursting with charisma, and proved to be one of the biggest successes in wrestling ever. Yes, he was ready. It had nothing to do with him being in wrestling 8 years or 5 or whatever. He had everything he needed and then some. Tiger Ali Singh, David Flair, David Sammartino, Erik Watts... The "second/third/whatever" generation argument doesn't really strike me as too big a deal. Sure, there have been some successful and semi-successful wrestling families, but the Ortons aren't exactly the first, third, or tenth one I think of. The burden of proof isn't on me to prove he hasn't earned it. It's for him to prove he has. So he's improved four-fold in his wrestling (still has plenty of flaws in his work, though) and finally has strong heat after hanging around with Ric Flair and Triple H and working matches with the likes of HBK and Benoit. He was set up in a program against Foley which finally got him over. Bravo. It sure as hell took long enough. The investment in him has somewhat paid off, but what has he "earned?" He hasn't earned the right to be champion, in my opinion.

Looking at the previews, I guess I shouldn't be upset Aqua's going to be a part of it. I didn't realize how literally the new name would be taken. By the way, the JL movie, Starcrossed, will be on tonight (Sunday, July 25) at 7:30 PM EST.

Yow--if adjusted for today, GwtW would be grossing over a billion?!? "9. The Exorcist WB $666,729,078" HA!
-
I may be incorrect, but I recall reading an article that said if ET's numbers were adjusted for today, it still would be higher grossing than Titanic. This site seems to support that: http://www.leesmovieinfo.net/wbotitle.php?t=235 "(Adjusted) Worldwide Box Office: $754.805 (million)" Oh, this is quite funny--"Production Budget: $10.50 million." That's like a B-movie budget today. If Shrek 2 couldn't do it, I don't see any movies that I know of that are coming out capable of making a dent. However, I think it would have to be a family-friendly, but still well-scripted and widely appealing movie that can capture as many demographics as possible. However, how the hell did Titanic gross that to begin with? Were 13 year old girls going back to see it again 10 times? EDIT: 2GOLD already answered, I guess.

*snorts* He's improved a great deal, but no, he hasn't "earned it." Randy Orton has not "earned" the right to be winning any major title. Of course, neither has JBL... How much time out of that 2 1/2 years was he injured, by the way?

Half.com actually has used copies for about 12 bucks (before the shipping, though), but even 20 bucks is well worth it. However, both versions have the ass-looking ugly CGI cover, instead of the gorgeous Ayami Kojima art that is idiotically hidden on the inside. It's too bad out of all the colors they could choose for GH rereleases, LIME GREEN??! Heh, anyway, I've lucked out in the past, getting SotN for 10 bucks used and Chronicles for 20 bucks new at EB. Now if Konami will cut this Yugioh and MGS ripoff crap they're doing now and get around to making real games again, maybe they could re-release Rondo of Blood as a CV Chronicles 2.

What the hell is this show you speak of?

Whoa, whoa. I don't feel that ATHF is anywhere near as guilty of "random *** confusing bull**** as Sealab is. It's like Wms St. saves their best material for ATHF and Sealab ends up with whatever's left over. Which is fine by me, since I like ATHF much more anyway. Agreed about the value. Come on, they could have done a lot better than that. However, ATHF is still probably only my second/third favorite on there, with Mission Hill and Family Guy ahead of it. Anime doesn't seem to really count as part of the lineup, but if they did I like Case Closed, Cowboy Bebop, and Inuyasha all more than it. It's still funny, though. Gotta love Carl and Dr. Weird. However, I absolutely loathed the first episodes and didn't bother seeing it again until a few months ago. Seriously...watch something like Mooninites Revenge and then try to watch Rab-Bot again. It's a world of difference even if Rab-Bot actually features them doing their entire range of animations. However, I'll agree they've dropped the ball on the Brak Show and Harvey Birdman. Still, Botox Droopy was a great ep. Brak Show suffers from..well, Brak. He's never, ever been funny on his own. He sucked on Cartoon Planet, he sucked in his cameos on Space Ghost, and he sucked in his own show. Thank goodness for his dad, Thundercles, and of course Zorak for making that show.

" I don't believe that the movie will be that craptacular. Jurrassic Park and the Star Wars Prequels had massive amounts of CGI, I don't think there will be an issue with the CGI." And those sucked. What's your point? You also forgot to mention Lost World. That sucked too, although that had nothing to do with the CGI. Plus, using CGI *in combination with miniatures and animatronics* for dinos is quite different than going full CGI on giant robots. "Especially the voices of Optimus, Megatron and Starscream." I'm sure they can find good voice actors to cast. That's the one area I'm actually not worried about.

The logo change sounds like the Max Fleischer cartoon version, actually. I think only one logo is necessary. K.I.S.S. (no offense ). Going way out of the way to complicate an outfit usually doesn't turn out well. Darker blue sounds good, though.

*scratches head* How exactly are Piper and Hart in this? I didn't think either of them were on good terms with WWE.

"The only way they could make it any gayer is if they had zippers on the ass!" I generally agree the more ironic costumes shouldn't be changed or should have minimal changes...but I thought the X costumes were quite practical changes. Spidey's costume is basically the same and I'm glad it stayed the same. Batman's costumes looked good in the first two movies and I don't think it would look quite right if he'd ended up in grey spandex looking like a more fit Adam West. The only time I've been really upset about a costume change would probably be the laughable Hallecat costume in Catwoman (In Name Only). However, even in the comics Supes has gone through costume changes, like Superman Blue (when became an energy being and needed that containment suit) and his post-resurrection black. Supes doesn't really need to worry about camouflage, his basic costume works, but if it was changed slightly I don't think I'd mind as long as it wasn't a change for the worse. The basic look should remain, though. I guess my response would be "it depends."

Looking at this simply from a match standpoint, HHH-Eugene on PPV could be one awesome match. Dinsmore's shown a great deal of talent, and since he'll probably be cutting down on the comedy we should get an entertaining match either way. Orton's made great strides lately even though I still personally don't like him. Working with Benoit can only do him a world of good. Remember that prior to the PPV he's going to be working house show matches with Benoit, likely, so the possibility of a really good match is quite high, IMO. With several promising undercard matches in the works, I think this could be nearly as good as 2002's Summerslam.
