GRAAAAAAH!! MORE STUPID DIVA SEARCH CRAP!! Al Snow truly does suck.

Didn't he already do this gimmick as "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry? He was Ruben before Ruben was Ruben. Not that that makes any Earthly sense but it makes more sense than Henry in the ring. Mark acted kinda like Ruben did (in that beer commercial) when he was dating Chyna , and he also begged for forgiveness from Chyna about 2,001 times, but he didn't sing, I don't think. Of course, they'd have to team him up with Funaki...

Nice, although kinda flat. There aren't many Asian chicks who could pull off Mai, proportionately. Although Will knows I'm a fan of his avatars/sigs...

SerenityMole: You mean 4.0, right? Anyway, if she's SOOOO SMART why isn't she...oh yeah, she is rich. Damnit.

He'll do a Ruben Studdard gimmick, because Vince has his thumb on the pulse of American pop culture.

Meh, here were blue-scaly-skinned, yellow-eyed mutants running around everywhere there, wasn't there? If they weren't going to dive into that--what with Mystique being a mainstay for the movie series, they probably could have plugged another mutant into Nightcrawler's role and the plot wouldn't have changed much, unless I remember incorrectly. Of course, it would be at least one later a movie for Yuna to mark out over him for. Maybe 1/4 bad... If they do anywhere close to as decent on the next game, they might really have something. What do you think of the young Devil May Cry 3 Dante, Yuna? By the way, not that it will make much difference, but apparently after the original trailer for Catwoman was leaked and subsequently crapped all over, they did a month of re-shoots. So either they improved some things, or perhaps turned it into an even more rushed, but less stupid, disaster. By the way... http://www.sirenssecrets.com/caco.html "It looks better than the actual costume... how strange is that?" -- some one on another board.

General Manager Eric Bishop -- he's going to revive the R&B era! But he's going to be working with Mordecai! Dx Tipple H -- Trips as an angry drunk? Mark Merrel -- isn't he part of a famous law firm? Dow Brown -- How cow? Brad Shaw -- Bastion Booger's brother. Sargent Slade -- CUM ON FEEL THE NOIZE, YOU MAGGOTS!!!

He'll do a Predator gimmick to coincide with the new AVP movie. He'll be teh fat one.

"Speaking of Vince, shouldn't he be a Democrat, seeing as how many hardline Republicans would find his show morally offensive and perverse?" Democrats seem to be, in general, more pro-censorship. Although there are also quite a few "bi-partisan" organizations. Also, Vince is naturally vehemently opposed to unions. WWE wrestlers aren't employees, they're "independent contractors."

--I don’t like gays. Write that down in your little notebook. I don’t like gays," it quoted Lesnar as saying, which made him look like a complete goof. The magazine wrote, "It's just too bad that guys like him have to be so insecure in their own sexuality that they need to say such negative things about gay people.-- Such negative things...? That shouldn't be the whole quote, since Lesnar doesn't say anything negative in that quote, just that he doesn't like them. *shrug*

Well, maybe half of that.... Edge with short hair I think would look really goofy...or kinda like The Joker. One of those.

NYU: To be fair, it isn't like Angle doesn't have a history of rushing back to the ring when he wasn't quite ready, and then quickly getting reinjured. Face it, he's got a bad neck that's never going to be 100%, and probably nowhere close to that. We don't know the extent of the damage, but we have good reason to believe he's in pretty bad shape, especially since the "miracle surgery" wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Choken did overreact, though.

"Kane interview and Divas Search video lost 318,000 viewers, which is terrible for the time slot" But...but...Matt Hardy said that the Kane-Lita angle has been one of the highest rated parts of the show!!

Odd--I'd heard the legal age of consent in Japan was lower. I guess I was wrong about that. 17 years old is hardly a "child," although certainly it's illegal and probably ties in with a charge of corrupting a minor. -
I think S+P had a problem with The Joker actually threatening Jordan's life overtly however, the sword-swallowing seemed to hint at it. Ah... Well, I could imagine Joker doing the same scene with Harley... Not that a creepy clown guy running off to an amusement park with a little boy was innocent, wholesome entertainment anyway. Shame that, as good as it is, Heart of Ice is filled with production errors. Besides the ones pointed out in the commentary, the henchman that Batman defrosts...well, wasn't he wearing pants and boots before Freeze shot him in the legs? Yet they're gone when Batman treats him. Plus in places the animation for the ice shooting up was a bit too sudden and choppy. All these color TVs must be from Metropolis--another one in Two Face.

"I think you're all just proving what Matt said in his article." That's a very diplomatic way to start, sir. "All he was basically saying is that instead of bashing everything the WWE does and saying it sucks, we should give constructive critisism on how to make it better." Why? Who is bashing "everything" about it? That's an ignorant overgeneralization by Matt. As is the idea that we only look for good matches. Most of us understand that the good, long matches should be only used once in a while on TV or on PPVs. Then he says we're not in the business, we don't know any better, and therefore one can assume he's saying that constructive criticism is therefore pointless. What does he propose we do with this constructive criticism? Submit it to the WWE to be ignored? That's an extremely ignorant attitude Matt has right there. Plus he couldn't be much more vague about it, and tells us no specific examples. What's the whole "working together" pablum about? When WWE got horrible people had to turn away to WCW to get it to improve. He's saying we should just keep watching and eat it up regardless of how poor quality some of the angles are. He made some weak excuses for the horrible, unsalvageable Lita pregnancy angle, and he didn't even bother to defend Smackdown and the non-existent Raw title feud. If he's willing to excuse the Lita angle, I wonder what he has to say to justify the other problems. Funny thing--remember that Matt was punished for complaining to management about the way things were being run? I guess he learned his lesson and decided to just think positive. "He wasn't saying 'You must think everything is good, and if you say otherwise you're stupid.' He even said the WWE aren't perfect. He said you can think something is no good, but look for the positives and think of ways to improve on it instead of just saying 'That sucks' and leaving it at that. I totally agree with him." He said WWE is "great" right now and is the best wrestling company in the world. Bull. I challenge you to name three...no, one way to save the Lita angle. I'm really interested in hearing it. How do you take an angle that started with Lita basically getting sexually harrassed and later raped to get Kane from beating Matt up, then have Lita getting knocked up, and turn it into anything watchable? WWE has a tendency to create such insulting, illogical, dunderheaded angles that they're stillborn from the very moment of conception. WWE can't make this pregnancy angle any good. They can't make me buy into "killing" Paul Bearer. I don't see any justification for the Kane-Shane angle. I don't think there was a damn thing they could do to salvage the Kane/HHH disaster where HHH accused Kane of murder, necrophilia, and then humped his corpse. On a less extreme note--take a look at the Benoit-HHH angle--it's too late to do anything. They've already ruined the match and the feud because of the lack of build. Some things are so insipid and unworthy of discussion that "it sucks" more than suffices, such as those extreme cases. He didn't even bring up an example of a flawed but fixable angle that has a good deal of possibility. He picks a horrible example that completely undermines his whole argument. "Now, not everyone, but by alot of you just bashing what he had to say and calling him another one of Vince McMahon's goons, you're proving what he said about the internet fanbase being negative." He uses that ridiculous WWE terminology, completely disregards that plenty of us already praise aspects of show, disregards that there's almost ALWAYS something glaringly bad, and says we shouldn't criticize something that gets ratings. Pardon me if I confuse him for being a Vince goon based upon that. "He didn't bash internet fans, he simply asked us to try and make it a more positive environment. So how do we respond? With a bunch of negative feedback to what he said. Oye." Since's he's refusing to make any concessions and admit that some things are definitely bad, I don't care to listen to him telling me it's raining while WWE is pissing on the fans. Even JR admitted Judgment Day sucked. It's funny Matt didn't pick Eugene as an example, Orton as of late or Evolution in general, or Benoit's month before winning and after winning the title. We're not complaining about that. It's funny he didn't pick Kenzo, Paul Bearer being buried in concrete, Spike Dudley's push over nearly all the other cruisers, Bradshaw and Holly's pushes, or Big Show trying to kill Angle to defend. He may as well if he was going to pick the Lita angle to defend. Something in WWE almost always sucks. Some of us hate "sportz entertainment." So we're going to voice our disapproval. WWE isn't going to take it to heart anyway so Matt shouldn't be at all concerned at just how we voice it. However, Matt's enjoyment of shutting up and liking what's going on in WWE will certainly keep him at least employed for quite some time. -
I didn't realize that Robin was in CWTJ, because I didn't like it enough to rewatch. I guess they kind of HAD to put Robin in there, for the sake of the "Jingle Bells, Batman Smells" song. "One can’t help but think that someone really dropped the ball with The Joker in an amusement park, as the endless possibilities as to death-traps and gags should have been self-evident. However, one must give credit where it is due: Mark Hamill is stunning, and once again rises above the source material." I'll agree that the possibilities should have been more full explored, but I have the same gripe with the Mad Peirrot episode of Cowboy Bebop--which was allegedly in part inspired by the "Be A Clown" episode. Besides, the roller coaster fight inspired part of the video game, and ya gotta love "They don't make straight jackets like they used to--I should know!" I also never really got the sense that Jordan was in any real peril. He was there mainly to lure Batman...Joker never really directly treated him as a hostage, because he could have done so to keep Batman off his back. Although I have to admit in general you're right about how the writers seemed to know just what to do with the minor characters, but seemed to have false starts with the major ones.

"The Shooting Star Press, Kidman’s signature move appears to be inhuman to successfully pull off. However, Kidman makes this high risk move look easy." Since the last two times I saw him do it he botched it, and the former was when he injured himself, I'd disagree. He actually pulled it off well on SD, then?

She's Julia Roberts? Oh come on, Julia's far better than Lita. Give her more credit than that. Blimp on the radar? Dude, I think you're a bit too tired right now to post. Rudo: to be fair, this was probably 3/4 written by a WWE.com staff member. -

She was very popular...I'd dispute that now. Also, she can't hold up her end in the ring or when a storyline calls for acting, so it's hard to enjoy seeing her. Plus, he's the last person I'd call upon to objectively assess her. A: She still is popular enough to remain on the roster and be part fo mid card angles. So.....she is perfect where she is B: Her acting skills are irrelivant towards 13 year old kids, her demo. C: Just becaus ehe is biased dosnt mean he is wrong. A. Not angles involving an upper-midcarder who was challenging for the title at the time. B. Because there's no such thing as a 13 year old who doesn't have a clue about what horrible acting is, and it isn't as if Raw's key demographic is 18-25 year olds. :-P Also "if your boyfriend is being beat up, screw the bully to keep him off your b/f's back" is a great message to send to 13 year olds, by the way. C. Naturally, he's in the business and we're not. He knows better, you know. A condescending, holier-than-thou, restatement of the same old "just enjoy it" message isn't an "olive branch." This is particularly true when there are obvious areas that the shows are lacking in quality-wise. Plus an angle is above any criticism if it gets ratings, according to Matt. Wonderful. -

"It was justified in the past to criticize wrestlers who bashed the internet because they showed no respect to our segment of the fanbase. However, Matt Hardy right here did his absolute best to be objective, weighing all of the positives and negatives involved. " Even if you sugar-coat the message "shut up and like it, because your opinion doesn't matter to WWE," it's still the same message. He's basically saying we should enjoy horrible storylines because other people don't care about it or like it. Hot damn, maybe I should "just enjoy" the new Catwoman movie, since WB put their stamp of approval on it. He's basically denying that in many areas WWE is seriously lacking. He didn't even touch upon how lackluster Smackdown has been, since there's really little you can do to justify that. How about the almost complete lack of build for current and last WWE World Title feuds on Raw? Any of the internet writers who get any modicum of respect keep their criticism constructive and try to limit their bile. However, Smackdown's been so bad that "casual" fans and internet fans alike have not cared for it and it has been reflected in the ratings. So should those fans shut up and enjoy it, or are their opinions the only ones that matter? Does Matt realize that the fans have largely been apathetic to Lita for quite some time? She gets a fraction of the reaction she used to at best these days. That, combined with her declining ring skills and terrible acting mean that she's not entertaining to watch on many levels. Internet writers and internet fans have been giving Raw props lately because it's actually been strong on both a writing and wrestling standpoint. It's been a bit weak in the past few weeks the Lita pregnancy angle is definitely a low point. So people voice their disapproval, and frankly I don't see a way to make it entertaining since they've already screwed it up by starting it in the first place. -

And since people outside the business "don't understand," they don't "get" the big picture, so that criticism will be ignored anyway. He'd apparently disputing that the Kane/Lita/Matt angle sucks. If it was redeemable at all, we'd normally discuss what could be done to fix it. IT ISN'T REDEEMABLE, however. It's a stupid, insulting mess that most of hate for similar reasons. Only Kane's over-the-top performance makes it watchable. This affects the belief that it sucks how? Basically Matt is advocating that the writers throw crap against the wall, and if it sticks to run with it. That is, opposed to coming up with good storylines that would also be a success. The same attitude would advocate an Al Wilson angle or the Kane/HHH angle from October 2002. Of course, I'm just a fan. I don't know any better.
