I just completed Mega Man II and all I got was a "Wily's Revenge" music track.. This page says you have to beat MMIII to get Power Battle. ChrisMWaters told me via IM he beat MM3 and got Power Battles. I know I got Power Battles 2 after beating several Mega Man 7 bosses. Oh, and I FINALLY BEAT GUTS MAN'S STAGE!! It seems to help to pretend those hinges aren't there, since you can't stand on them anyway it seems. Once you get past those lifts, it's not hard. You deal with some construction bots that think they're Hammer Bros--just advance towards them to go under their pick axes and you can take them out. You have to hurry though because they'll respawn on the screen right in front of you. The biggest benefit to fighting Cuts Man with Guts Man's weapon isn't necessarily the damage you get, but the extra space to actually move around. I missed with one of the blocks but still took Cuts down rather easily.

It's kinda mixed. GameFAQs has a bunch of updates on it. You only get Atomic Planet credits for beating 1. Beating II and IV unlocks lots of stuff. Power Battle = beat 8 bosses in Mega Man II Power Battle 2 = beat 4 bosses in Mega Man VII Those are the major ones; look it up for the full thing.

Anyone know for sure just how things are unlocked? I haven't completed any of the games yet--been skipping around defeating bosses in several of the games. So far I unlocked a song, Power Fighters 2, and an ep of the TV series. (PS2) Maybe it has to do with the number of bosses you beat and from which games?

X-Box not compatible with X-Box is stupid as hell. Except for a few rare peeps who hold out until the console generation, most of the people I know who play PS1 games play it on the PS2. I know a lot of people traded in PS1s for PS2s as well, but still play their PS1 games on it. Glad to hear the Cube successor will play GC games. However, I don't think it matters if PS3 is 500 bucks. The PS2 had almost nothing to offer as far as games when it came out and it cost 400 bucks, and it sold out completely and took months for Sony to produce more to meet the demand. The PS1 and PS2 success alone will make the PS3 almost a certain winner. "Can these faults help Nintendo get ahead?" I think that depends on what Nintendo's console costs and what it has to offer. No, it was because the early PS2s were hastily-assembed pieces of crap that were gonna anyway because Sony cut corners with it. I've had friends with earlier PS2s that crapped out on them, and they only occasionally played DVDs in it. Now, my PS2 that I have had since 2001 works perfectly and I use it to play DVDs all the time.

First-past-the-post voting is inherently biased towards a two-party system. If you want that wussy, hippy, European proportional representation, you'll have to put up with several splinter parties filled with assorted nutjobs. Depending on the issue, I lean to different sides. However, the party itself and the voters are different. Most lefty voters and most righty voters alike seem to be clueless about facts and just buy into whatever their shepherds of choice teach them.

What's right and wrong in today's society?
AndrewTS replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
I'd say it's become more accepting of homosexuals. Run this poll fifty years ago. Fifty years ago, teenage mothers weren't such a problem. They are now, and yet rather than show concern about it, the public conciousness has simply accepted seeing a woman who's never been in a seriously committed relationship lugging a child around. Hey, it's not right, but that's the way it is. Let the gay guys and lesbians bump uglies--they're not producing any children out of it. Although two women, maybe one of them getting sperm...? Well, as long as one of the women can be a strong father figure, sure. No, dumbass teenage girls who are hopelessly irresponsible should not be raising kids, but society doesn't care. We'll just let them suck on the government's teet as their live-in boyfriend of the week knocks her up again, while the other poor dumb brats run around the projects half-naked. Dishes in the sink are sky-high, TV dinners crammed in the freezer, the mother or shack-up boyfriend hooked on drugs... *ahem* Sorry. I'm against the death penalty, because I think those persons should be serving hard labor for the rest of their lives. If they're not going to be contributing anything to society rotting in jail, let them do something useful since our tax dollars go to support them. Then if a mistake is made, well, you can still appeal. If some one is executed--oops. -
Diane Mizota? Who?

That's Tommy Tallirco? Stick to composing game music--you suck at this, dude.

These G4 guys are morons. Check out the game review show...the one that isn't X-Play. These guys make the Burly Bear show look fantastic. Instead of bringing up a valid point about Ratchet and Clank 2--the one weakness I feel it has is length...they're babbling about "would you buy merchandise with these guys" and they're somewhat annoyed by the bolts coming out of things. Oh, and it's apparently "repetitive." *snort*

No...he sucker-kicked him, then threw him face first into the window. Sorry, not Coffey, but still, did people actually watch the incident, or are they going by someone elses word? Some one else's word, I think. I was surprised when I saw the HBK DVD and he THREW him through. I guess people just thought it would be cooler if he superkicked him through it, so it got distorted. Also, I agree that as long as a McMahon insists on being extremely hands-on with the creative process, not a whole lot is going to change. Part of the problem is likely that many good ideas are thrown away and filtered out. The writers feel unappreciated and then stop giving a damn. Sucky writers or not, that's easily to identify with.

chaorage: But--isn't the producer's interview 3 hours? That's what I'd heard rumored for quite a while.
-
Can't confirm that, but 2 unlocks Art and 3 unlocks...apparently nothing (credit, again, GameFAQs posters). I'm sure soon enough we'll know for sure. So, how does one view the eps of the TV series? Is that a secret? The neo-retro feel of the music is awesome too, BTW.

Word is on the GameFAQ board that the pause trick still works--just use select. I took that bastard down in...X5 wasn't it? So I'll try to get through it legit. It's ghey that I can't devote much time to it until Sunday or so because of two tests coming up. Argh. I don't like how some enemies can kill me in one hit, though. I.E. when you're "crushed." Also, I fell from a ladder before and hit an enemy along the way--instant death and I almost had full health!! What the hell?! Also, yeah, those moving platforms are ticking me off a bit, too. Especially when it seems like you passed right through them when you drop down. I guess I have to wait an extra split second.

No, I thought it was but I was mistaken. However, anyone who played the Game Boy Mega Mans should be able to tell me if they're any good. I heard that, unlike the NES games, which started out good, but 4 on became kind of lame, the last two GB games are very good. Just wanted to get some confirmation on that--wondering if it is even worth considering. (I must say that Mega Man 6 NES at least is purty for an 8-bit game. It could pass for an early 16-bit game.) And yeah, Mega Man VII doesn't totally suck, but--definitely--not--worth--the Ebay prices. Mega Man 8 I like far more than it, even though it is really friggin' easy. Sure thing. However, depends on whether or not you're a stubborn SOB who likes fighting-game-friendly controllers and doesn't like his control constricted to one unnatural layout he can't adjust. Oh, I'm playing on Normal, although with Navi mode and 5 lives each. Navi mode is how you get the remixed music tracks on PS2--turn it on and the music remixes with it. However, not all the tracks remix. For example, the only remixed tracks in Mega Man 1 supposedly are taken from the arcade game(s). At least that's what a GameFAQs poster said.
-
Word on the Gamecube version is--the button layout ranges from annoying to completely ruining the games, depending on your tolerance. *plays Mega Man VII* Let me get this straight--people were playing that much for this game? Morons.
-
Yep. All you have to do is tell them you used to write *insert cancelled horrible unfunny sitcom here* Yeah, like "Friends" or something. Wait, that's probably too highbrow for Vince. Okay, tell them you wrote for "Strip Mall."
-
Rando: I think there's contact info on the WWE site. However, one problem--you're a fan. Therefore you're ineligible I think. So...uh..lie.

Having different extras in each version is smart marketing. They aren't actually leaving out any of the games, but they're putting enough differentiation between the games that the hardcores will likely snap up both copies. If they're willing to pay 80 bucks plus for lone SNES carts, surely they'll not mind paying 30 bucks a pop for each version of the collection. This is much better than Nintendo's NES Classics crap, naturally. Has anyone picked up the GBA collection?
-
Well, like many other here...I...uh...wish Jeff the best of luck in TNA if it is true. Sincerely, I do. However, considering how the fans reacted in Ring of Honor, I think TNA fans will crap all over him if he's really it.

The father is...Lita's dad. Lita went back in time and is her own mother.

I have the game for PS2...loading times and control issues feared with the PS2 version seem to be non-existent. As for secrets--I'm not sure. They're locked right now.
-
I was unaware that there was any such thing as a black cosplayer, let alone a female one.
-
They'll bring in some one new to supervise the writing...that person will criticize too much, and get fired. Just like the last times. As for the additions to the uncreative team, yeah, I expect more sitcom writers rejected from UPN. Even if the new writers were good, nothing will change with Vince and Steph in charge.

What? He did a nice one to the floor at WM. If by "nice" you mean "nearly killed himself."

Well, generally I think the Asians pull it off better, although there are a few good white ones. However, the Asians even do the white characters better: http://www.cannonspike.com/CamFan/Cammy-co...n-dr-green4.jpg Incidentally...they actually have cosplay porn in Japan. That's something new...but it's Japan. We know of worse things.
