Heel heat back in the States? Because that Grenier, by God he has potential!
-
And they steal 2-Count's finisher. This is really f***ing ghey. New champs? WTF? This tag division is now as bad as Smackdown's.
-
Edge is booed because he's from Toronto and he sucks. Well, at least half of that.
-
"Eugene for Pres ident." "Hi Hunny Abc k" and signs for Grenier to go with those Jeff Hardy signs. I hate this crowd.
-
"Euro Trip, unrated!" IT STILL SUCKS!!!
-
La Res getting pops, a pro-Jeff Hardy sign. This crowd is officially "ghey."
-
Ummm...they're supposed to aren't they? Well not 'Supposed' to, but when they first changed to the Quebec gimmick, it was expected that they would get cheered in Canda. Or even more...Quebec. So? La Res still sucks.
-
and they know that the other guy is a REALLY F***ING S***TY wrestler, right?
-
La Res gets a pop. What the f*** is wrong with you, Canada?
-
Shelton looks oddly like Orlando Jordan in that match up screen. BENOIT!!~
-
Isn't there some hockey game on that Canadians would care about, incidentally?
-
Or Ron Jeremy's superhero persona.
-
WTF? Besus: Unless you become a mod, you do not f***ing tell me what to post. Even a Memorial Day Raw should be > SD. I don't give a damn about Lita, though.
-
It looks like he fused with Aztec God Jarrett. That appears to be more of a B than an R.

"However, it's not worth getting crazy over. It's not set in stone and until it is, you shouldn't be cursing out the WWE." I didn't curse out the WWE. Yet. Mabel had some heat as a face.
-
What's "The Law?" Are they at all credible? Wow, some one was joking that "at least Bradshaw is better than some one like Jindrak." WWE found some one to push that's even worse of a choice than Bradshaw. Terrific. I can't wait for the "you beg WWE to push new stars, and now you're bitching? There's no pleasing you people!" crowd to come out again.

Renegade finds it highly unlikely that an EA game, Fight Night, is as good as the magazines say. Your thoughts? I recently got Metal Slug 3 for X-Box.

That doesn't surprise me, since I wasn't wise to the internet back in 95 but my faves were HBK and Hart. I could tell they had greater/cooler move variety, they worked harder, and their matches seemed more "real" than most of the other guys. It's awesome than LoD actually had the Doomsday Device in this game. Although I don't think I played much of it. It'd be awesome if more companies would release GBA compilations of classic arcade titles.

Hardly intuitive, but this means you'd have to hold the system with one hand, use one finger to make him run and another finger or your thumb to make him jump. Yech. I'd imagine to roll you'd hit the bottom of the touch screen, to spin dash you'd...uh...hold the bottom and rub the top of the touch screen.

Heh, River City Ransom EX is out. I haven't gotten it yet, but it's basically the same art as the NES version shown above, but with cutesy anime characters in place of the realistic-looking dudes. Oh, a game some of you may be tempted to try out but should probably avoid: CT Special Forces for GBA. The sequel may be better, but this one is mediocre at best. Going by the screen shots, you'd think it was a Metal Slug clone. There's certainly similarities in the look and controls. However, that's about where the similarites end. It's more of a platform game where you shoot people than a true Metal Slug game. I frankly think the game sprites are too big, which I feel hurts the pace and response. You have a life bar unlike with any of the console/arcade Slugs, although when you lose a life you start over in the same spot. Unlike the smooth as buttah controls of any of the Metal Slugs, these ones are stiff and iffy. You can only fire left, right, and upward. You can't fire downward, not even in the air, and you can't even fire upward while jumping. In fact, if you're holding "up" to aim upward, you can't even jump, period. To throw a grenade, you have to be perfectly still. So if you're walking and try to throw a grenade, you get nothing. You don't even automatically stop and fling the grenade, you have to come to a dead stop, hit R, and hope it hits. The angle it is thrown at isn't as useful as in Metal Slug. Oh, you have no close range attack, like how in Metal Slug you could stab or in Gunstar you could throw. So if you're right next to a guy and your gun barrel is past him you won't do any damage. While you have fox-holes and and areas to take cover in, when you jump up, even if you're past the end of the platform, you'll likely land on TOP of the platform as you land from your jump, instead of back in the foxhole. You might take a bullet or two from this, because most of the foxholes are too small. Plus, while you're in your "dangling" animation on the ledge, you can't fire at all. The A.I. is da ghey. Your adversaries are basically guys with guns but with the intelligence of an 8-bit platform enemy. They walk back and forth on their little platform, firing their guns when you happen to be near. However, you can actually end up walking behind them pumping lead in their back as they WALK THE OTHER WAY FIRING AT NOTHING! Freaking Army the Armadillo from Donkey Kong Country looks like a genius compared to these guys. A welcome addition that Metal Slug could use is that ability to retain special weapons and use them when you want to. You switch between weapons using L. However, they should have realized that when you don't have a weapon, it's best to skip it than have "x 0" listed. It probably sounds like I really hate the game, but that's not really true. While the gameplay is somewhat modeled after, and is inferior to, a nearly decade-old arcade game, I know that it's not supposed to play exactly like it, but rather at a slower-paced, more platform-centric style. However, SNK already took a similar slant on the Metal Slug series. They called it Metal Slug 1st Mission, and it's available on Neo Geo Pocket Color. Then they vastly improved that and released Metal Slug 2nd Mission. (By the way, if you only have a GBA and want true portable Metal Slug, Metal Slug Advance is slated for SEPTEMBER. =/) So while not terrible, it pales in comparison to a 5 year old NGPC game. Maybe I'll revise this and put it on GameFAQs. *shrug* "Contra Hard Corps is a lot better than Contra III." I have Hard Corps (thank goodness for Game Genie ), but I was wondering about CIII. Generally I've seen it favored much more than Hard Corp, and it does seem to look better over all graphically, sound-wise. So maybe I'll pick it up if I find a good deal on it.

I seem to recall it was actually $5 million.
-
That's more or less the case with me. However, the ones I'm familiar with know I buy a lot of stuff from them anyway, so that may affect it.
-
That part of it was on Bottom Line or something, according to a friend of mine who saw it.
-
Good Lord, that paragraph looks like it was written by a f***ing third grader. I don't see why "make Sonic run" should be any more complicated than "hold d-pad/stick forward," or "make Sonic jump" should be any more complicated than "hit B" but this IS just a demo. The final game is probably going to be nothing like that. Maybe we'll finally get Sonic Xtreme, though? *shot*

The Gamestops outside my area seem to always ask if I have any games to trade in...despite the fact that I clearly have none in my hands. Yeah, my baggy pants/shorts could conceivably have some, but I'm not about to trade them in to get 3 bucks and a piece of lint. Or two bucks if you want cash instead of store credit. Although a guy at a Gamestop was about to trade in an N64 w/ controllers and several games, and I offered him ten bucks more than the store was going to give him and got a sweet deal. So after I sold a couple of the games I'd basically gotten an N64 and a couple of games for free. Back on topic, has anyone here played Contra III for SNES? I played it about 5 years ago, but I really sucked and never got past the first boss.
