Which was? No one is denying it was a smart business decision for WWE, however we're placing the blame on Mick for being a hypocritical whorebag. In fact, the story was that Foley called WWE and wanted to do the program.

I'm hoping Sting can help Luger turn his life around, but that would have to happen and he'd need to be able to get in 1989 condition before I'd want to watch him in a match again. Gee, I wonder why building stars takes time?

Gee, now THERE's an involved answer. The biggest complaint I heard about Fusion (and one I happen to agree with) is that having the stupid computer there to tell you what to do and when--it killed the non-linearity of the game dead. In a freakin' Metroid game, I do not want a damn computer to tell me what to do. Screw that. At least it was far, far better than the movie it was based on (Alien: Resurrection). I agree. You know this uber-powerful enemy is roaming around the ship, trying to kill you...and if you run across it you have to avoid it at all costs until you're strong enough. It was a cool idea and pulled off very well, I think. How's Zero: Mission by the way? I'm thinking of picking it up.

Point made, but the way you worded your post was if there was no plausible reason for anyone to dare not like the angle. When, in fact, there was. Frankly, I thought it was the least entertaining I ever recall Foley being in a long time, I didn't like who the angle involved, I'd seen this angle before and it was done a lot better, I don't feel anyone beating Foley is a big deal, and I'm sick of all the semi-retired wrestlers on TV. So I do have my reasons, whether you liked them or not. Tawren has an additional reason or so, since he simply didn't like the matches. I think the WMXX match was extremely overrated, but I haven't seen the Backlash match; I don't care either way. Although I find it pathetic WWE keeps relying on hasbeens rather than working with what they have. Then when they work with what they have, they push guys like Bradshaw. Remember also that the string of decent Raws allegedly is due in part to Foley advising the writers. If that's true, then fine, he should stay backstage. That's always a poor way to start when illustrating your viewpoint. He had complained about the WWE pushing guys like Orton...then he puts him over. He's not an asshole--just a whore.

Yeah, feeding HHH to Rocky Maivia really hurt his career, didn't it? Orton's on the same level as Shelton is right now, and while Edge is probably higher up, a feud with Orton wouldn't seem out of the question. Guys viewed as being on the same level can trade wins without much of a problem. If Edge jobbed to Orton, it might hurt Edge a bit, but he'd bounce back. With Jericho as a face, I wouldn't be surprised to see a Jericho/Orton feud after his program with Christian is over.

How dare I not join in with the rest of the smarks here who kiss Foley's ass regardless of what he does or says. How dare I laugh at Foley's hammy "Barby" promo and grow irritated with the lousy promos he's been cutting most of the time since coming back. How dare I get annoyed with another semi-retired wrestler hogging up airtime to put over some schmuck I don't give two shits about so that he can finally have a decent level of heat. Ideally, no one. WWE calls on Foley when they're desperate. However, I don't see a deserving wrestler who is in the midst of a decent push who could use the "oomph" that Foley could have given. Foley's already feuded with HHH and HBK. Benoit and Eddy could make for decent feuds, but why should Foley come out of retirement and automatically get a title shot? Foley could have been saved for a situation similar to Brock, who was helped greatly by the Hogan feud, even though it was only on TV. However, they blew it to put over...the Intercontinental Champion, who even if you feel he's gotten better, he's not even in the same ballpark he should be in to be a main eventer--which is what they want Orton to be. Congratulations WWE, you just pushed a midcarder enough that he's getting decent heat. What do you do for an encore? Is Orton going to be able to sustain the heat and continue to look legitimate?

Slow reader? Heheh, you somehow missed the other times I bitched about it. Seriously, how'd they miss that?

Big Name Rappers To Appear At WWE Pay-Per View?
AndrewTS replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in The WWE Folder
On the one hand, it isn't some one I never heard of, like Pissmaster. On the other hand, will anyone buy this shitty PPV strictly for that? It would be funny if they got some east coast rappers and west coast rappers, and then there was a big shoot out. WWE would be stupid enough to do that accidentally. -
411's WWE Byte This Report: Storm, Cade, Jordan,
AndrewTS replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in The WWE Folder
"On whether he would pose for Playgirl, Jordan revealed it was one of his goals to get his..." There goes my dinner. -
That's a brilliant idea Eh, I don't know. Kurt as GM sucks, I don't think he would be so great as color commentator (can't be much worse than King, though). Kurt's funny when he's the BUTT of the jokes, not when he's telling any.

Besides youth, is Jeff better than Chavo Sr. in any way?

Update On Future Of Steve Austin In The WWE
AndrewTS replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in The WWE Folder
*Edited to reflect my feelings* -
Instead: either watch EVA or read a book, which is better than waiting for the slooooowly scrolling text to go by. *is a Xenophobe* Too bad the army battles are basically rock-paper-scissors (at least in the first one).

"Final Fantasy VI (or III on the SNES) is again something thats old, but gold. Will you get CD quality sound? No. Is it the best Final Fantasy ever made? Probably. The only thing wrong with it now is the Mode 7 graphics. Granted, the stats aren't that customizeable, but come on. This is the story all other RPGs are trying to tell. These are the characters they're trying to create. Most others fail." The espers give you stat bonuses, so you can customize the stats for everyone but Umaro and Gogo. Stamina, Speed, Magic Power, etc. However, I wish HP and MP would automatically max out instead of needing to be boosted with espers. Also, hang onto the Odin esper until you are sure you don't want anymore speed bonuses (once it is transformed, you can't get the speed bonus anymore). BTW, until May 2nd, EB has a buy one, get one free sale on 16 bit games. So if you get two games the one of lesser value is free. So even though EB charges way too much, if you happen to find FFIII, FFII, or Chrono Trigger, get it and another good game and you'll be able to get a decent deal. Load times on the FFC/FFA collections also are a bit annoying. If you can get the original SNES versions for a good price, get 'em. "Disgaea is a Strat-RPG like Final Fantasy Tactics. I haven't personally finished it yet, but it certainly CERTAINLY has character customization. Out the wazoo. My word. Everything I've listed is for a Playstation. Thats your RPG machine, no question. " Yup, the classes may be a pain to deal with, but once you can mix and match abilities, you've got a sweet team. Also, yeah, PSX is your best bet for RPGs.

... You'd watch a show just for a Dudleyz match?
-
Double Frog Splash. Since that's all I really saw of SD, it's the best SD in weeks for me. "I don't foresee a good rating for Smackdown." Probably next week for Taker, though. Well, good for SD, at least.
-
eh? You sure? I recall Horshu being somewhere around 6'5" back in WCW.
-
Why? He's a high profile jobber. That's all he's good for. Nobody watches a Mick match to see him dominating and getting tons of offense in.
-
Very few of us wanted him to put over RANDY ORTON. He's a whore who came back to try to help WWE after bitching about many of the same problems that they still aren't doing anything about. Regardless of his recent slow improvements, Orton in the first place represented so much of what is wrong with how WWE chooses which talent to recruit and push. Beating Mick Foley doesn't prove a damn thing. Everyone's beat Mick. His ham-laden promos look like jokes compared to some of the classic promos he's given in the past. I couldn't take it seriously, especially knowing how it was going to so obviously turn out.
-
Oh brother. Question. Is anybody else sick of Foley cause I know I sure am. You, me, Tawren...I believe a couple others, too. As for the rest of it, bah, who cares? Foley got Orton some decent heat and that's more than anything WWE was doing up until then could accomplish.
-
So much for the Jho surgery. Although it may have not worked because of how bad Kurt's neck was in the first place or because of simply how much strain is put on it. I'm sure it would be great for him if he'd just quit wrestling after he got it, though. So, the main option would be spinal fusion, which would mean no more matches for him until 2005.
-
Well, he faced D'Von last week so he faces Bubba Ray this week. Oh, Spike NEXT week, then. I guess if it's convenient I'll check out the main, just for Eddy.
-
And I'd call it "lawsuit bait." Maybe Mordechai's character won't suck if it is something like Alexander Anderson from Helsing (the anime, not Van Helsing the movie coming out next Friday) or Wolfwood from Trigun. Although so far it seems more like the Anderson-style.
-
Do I have the watch the show, though? What's the main event, BTW? I'd not going to quit a game of Chrono Trigger for Spike vs. Eddy.

Hellbilly Taker.
