I thought we were all going to give SD PPVs the benefit of the doubt from now on considering JD (and Unforgiven?) turned out surprisingly better than expected. Then again... Losing to OG Taker in a Fatal Four Way title match in Season mode in HCTP as a CAW after getting hit with a back elbow and a Tombstone--his entire offense the entire match against me. Also, getting hit in the back of the head by Billy Gunn in a Rumble match in WWF No Mercy, then tumbling out of the ring and being eliminated.

To be more specific, the match was Bradshaw and Trish vs. Nowinski and Cracker Jackie.

The PS2 will let you play PS1 games while using PS1 memory cards. However, you can't save PS2 games on PS1 cards at all, and you can't use PS2 cards to play with the data saved on them. You can find new PS1 memory cards pretty easily, and you can get a ton of used PS1 memory cards for very cheap at Gamestop/EBs. 1st party versions are best, but most 3rd party ones work fine. Stay away from the more unusual looking cards though, and especially stay away from the ones that promise "8x the storage of standard Playstation memory cards!" The multi-page memory cards usually are trouble. The PS2 basically is compatible with almost all PS1 games and accessories, except for some peripherals like the PS1 multitap and Guncon. So you can use PS1 controllers to play any PS1 or 2 game, and use the PS1 memory cards for PS1 games. However, as far as memory cards go, you gotta use PS2 cards for PS2 games and PS1 cards for PS1 games. Backing up PS1 saves on PS2 cards don't hurt, of course. It's just a back-up/safekeeping measure, though.

You can store PS1 game saves on PS2 cards, but you can't save/load up from a PS2 card. You need to use PS1 cards to actually play the game and save/load game data. However, you can back up PS1 saves on a PS2 card. They use a different format to read/record data-- 8 MB PS2 card vs. "15 block" PS1 card (= about 1 MB).

Which also explains why Metroid isn't among these. Yeah, it's unlockable in Metroid Prime, but also because Japan hates Metroid. See also: Fire Emblem.

It did look pretty good. Very arrogant...I loved it. It was also a cool site at his entrance with both belts. I think with the WCW/WWF titles as well as the WCW Cruiser and TV titles, he wore them "stacked" (one around his waist, one around his belly). Some one Chris and I know had an female e-fed character put two belts on a duster, as well. Jericho did look great with two belts, however I'm reminded of the WCW days. When he was holding the Cruiser belt, his character really, really valued it. He would wear it around his waist and refuse to take it off, sometimes wrestling a few minutes while wearing it. Heh, I seem to recall him wearing one of the tag belts like an armband.

Those "casual WWE fans" who stopped watching 2 1/2 years ago, right? Middle age guys--oh boy, bikinis! Never saw those before!! Sorry, WWE doesn't capture the lesbian demo, either. Maybe a few here and there, but not a substantial amount. Women with a substantial amount of self-respect would probably be a bit pissed off at how Torrie acts. She shamelessly turned her ass into a Playboy billboard even. Sorry, the long-term ratings reports showed that Torrie was a ratings-killer when they made her a recurring character. If she pulled in some people but drove away more than that, who cares?! So this..."general consensus" is referring to what a WWE online poll eventually came down to? Riiight. Yeah, Orton needs more TV time, right? I'll take the WWE's...2 or so decent female wrestlers over a good portion of the guys. Torrie, Sable, and Dawn are being booked properly. They keep the first two the hell off TV except for the occasional intermission match (the SD portion of the Playboy shit didn't get any build-up--thank God). Dawn was just Heyman's evil secretary of sorts until she vanished when Paul quit. She had one stupid T&A match with Torrie on Halloween and other than that she didn't do anything of much importance other than advance the Kurt/Eddie angle. Victoria's being booked alright. I dislike Molly's treatment but she's being used at least. Jazz and Jacqueline we never see, Nidia SHOULD NOT BE WRESTLING, Lita sucks and should be retrained some more, and SLUTTY HEEL TRISH!~ is fantastic in her role--well, except for when she cut that promo last week. There's the Japanese and American joshi fans.

Earthbound Advance is already out.... Of course, you need to be able to read Japanese to enjoy it. =P

Big guys do not fly in WWE, especially now that Brock screwed up the SSP. I did. It's freaky to see her put her hand into Big Show's chest and chokeslam him in No Mercy (or WM2000, whatever it was).

It used to be Chris Jericho. However, when he became a midcard heel he didn't really have anything decent going on and has been mostly just used to put others over. I don't expect him to be pushed into a feud with Benoit although it would be great to see. Maybe the face turn will breathe new life into his character but I think I'll get sick of it very quickly. Eddy I'm really digging right now, and he'd have been my easy choice late last-year for favorite. However, it's hard to get as excited these days when his opponents are so lackluster. Benoit probably my favorite right now, although I'm not expecting his reign to be very long. As long as he's not bounced back down to upper-midcarder and gets the Jericho treatment, it'll be fun to watch just to see him in action. However, WWE needs to stop with this shit about making first-time champions main event Hour 1 and still focusing on the same games even when they're not champion.

I already have an SP, but couldn't they accomplish the same effect with the look by selling stickers to go over the regular GBA SPs? Hell, that's probably all it is. Yeah, there's a new NBA Jam for X-Box, Gamecube, and PS2. From what I hear the A.I. is a real bastard, too. That's what kind of tainted my enjoyment of NBA Jam TE for Playstation as well. It's 3D, but is supposed to be way better than Extreme. NBA Jam Extreme I didn't like too much. It's somewhere between a normal B-ball game and Jam, which didn't really grab me. Although not as new, you can pick up NBA Jam TE for PS1 for about $2.99 used without a box or anything at Gamestops/EBs everywhere. It looks like the arcade Jams except the flames are much better.
