Yeah, it's for the arcade version, but pretty much everything holds true. I don't think I could find a more accurate review of it if I tried. It pretty much hits everything on the mark. Having played it, I think that probably Dream Match 99/KOF 98 is the better deal, though.

Action games would be my favorite, with fighters close behind. It may shock some of you, but I really, really loathe "cinematic" games. Plus, usually those cinematic games make Corman look like Scorcese but people praise them as the greatest thing ever in video games.

For all of its annoying and pretentious storytelling, MGS is a great game. Glad to see it getting upgraded. MGS2 has good gameplay, but it is overshadowed by the game being a gigantic kick in the groin with a steel-toed boot from the increasingly evil Hideo Kojima. From what I've heard they've going to make this version of MGS2 more based on Substance, so we should get less of that fangirl-pandering fruit Raiden, his constant whining and Rose's bitchiness. Doesn't save us from the overwritten storyline with SWERVES!~ and "makes you think..." crap scattered all around, but it's a start. Keep the soap opera crap the fuck out of my stealth action game, Hideo. Otacon's little brat sister is one of the most annoying characters I've ever seen. She just screamed "feel sorry for me! Develop a bond with me! Come on, I'm so pathetic you know I'm going to die in about 20 minutes! I don't have much time to actually develop an actual character so let's lay on the pity!"

I'm still on my first Playstation 2. I bought it in June of 2001. Personally, I always unplug my system when I'm not playing it since that probably made my 1st Playstation conk out.

Why shouldn't he believe Chi? He fought Sub and knows Sub killed him and since Sub's clan hated Scorpion's clan it makes sense that Chi would be telling the truth. Because from what I gather Scorp was dead already when his family was killed, prompting him to make the deal to come back to avenge them--was he not watching over them? Wouldn't he have some degree of supernatural powers to seek out the real killer?

B) It's yet another transparent attempt for Rockstar to cash in on their popularity, only this time they decided to half-ass the gameplay. Rockstar--let us choose our own viewpoints if you're going to have multiple ones, don't change them for us, assholes. Control's pretty bad in general. Sneak up...kill, kill, kill some more. You know, Tenchu actually had other points to the gameplay, as did Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2 emphasized other elements (and killing was optional), and both were actually good games with solid, intuitive control. Also, when you play through those games, you don't get the nagging sensation that "hey, I'm doing the same shit over and over and it's getting boring." Plus, the environments in those games are actually much more varied.

Eh, the way it actually happened doesn't sound as bad, but it still is kinda dumb that you can easily dupe an avenging spirit from hell to do your bidding.

I've played the Dreamcast version. Gameplay is good, although it's hard to tell just what is new or different gameplay-wise when you're playing a game in Japanese and you can't really use any instructions to tell you. Also, just like 2001, the game still looks like ass. The Challenge mode is a good idea, though, and adds lots of replay to the game. However, making us play it to unlock characters we've been able to play as from the outset in the past = BOOO!! Um--you don't have the Genesis version of Clayfighters or Clayfighters: TE!

You were ripped off, man... You can usually find it for no more than $3 in the stores around me. One of the Video Game stores in my Mall (Game Spot or something) had it for $10. What-a rip off. Still, like $2 or $3 for S&H for ebay so thats what boosted the price a bit. He probably means brand new when it first came out. Also, La Parka is awesome as well in Revenge.

That would be more entertaining than the Playboy snoozefest. Matt would have a match but they stupidly pulled him from wrestling regularly on Raw it seem. The least they could do is have him in the Tag Title match. I'd rather him be on there than Jindrak and Cade, even if Test would be his partner.
