WOW has been dead and gone quite a while, hasn't it? As recent as 2000/2001 Victoria hadn't yet become a wrestler and was still appearing as a random babe/ho for when the WWE needed it. So, I guess cosplay, unless she had another gimmick in the farm leagues.

Just look at who has the belt on RAW before you ask that question. Couldn't of said it better myself. So how is a torn ACL as painful as it sounds? How on earth was he even able to get into the ring and work like he did with Benoit last Monday if this injury was in place? I've never known anybody with an injury of this form, so I've no clue as to how serious it is. UYI Didn't a torn ACL end Martel's career after his brief comeback in WCW? I think it was a very severe one, though.

Hmm... That's odd, when you factor in traveling costs, a far larger "cast," the costs to ship the large sets, probably needing far more cameras and a larger production crew, more shows needing to be produced in fewer time, etc. I'd think it would be more. Or do they mean cost for the network, which would be very little?

I'd be a little peeved since I just ordered Mega Man X2, played X to death and X3 is supposed to be hard as hell, but yeah that'd be a great collection... Wait...1 through 8?! The six NES games, the Super Nintendo FREAKING RARE AS HELL Mega Man VII on SNES that the Ebay rapists charge a mint for, and the PS1 game? I was thinking it was just the NES games...but there I see it, at the link, on the Capcom official site. Damn, 7 alone would be worth the money, plus all the classics are on there, too. Graphics don't appear updated, unlike Mario All-Stars, but ah well. If the X collection came out, I'd hope they'd include the animated intros from the Saturn version of X3. I wonder if we'll see a Mega Man 9...the classic series should be carried on in some form, I think.

Despite Game Informer being shitty for reviews, they have some good coverage. I haven't heard much new on RE:O, but 4 is going to be full 3D. You can shoot people above and below you, etc, go into different perspectives like Metal Gear Solid. Umbrella isn't around anymore, so it is moving in a new direction. You're Leon, and you're in a remote village in South America where the villagers are in a trance and trying to kill you. What is causing it? That's something that I guess you have to play the game for. Basically, no more zombies in the true sense, but apparently there are monsterous bosses still. Yet, kinda odd to keep the same name. "Resident Evil" still kinda fits, since it doesn't necessary have to mean zombies, but in Japan "Biohazard" won't exactly fit the title anymore, at least based on this info. Unfortunately, with a special TV to support the 16:9 ratio of the game...we're going to have to play it letterboxed. It's just coming out for Gamecube right now, but maybe in time it will go to another system. It looks fantastic right now. Hmm...apparently you're going to be trying to make your way through the jungle to survive. Maybe you'll have to eat snakes?

Even the Tyson punch. Don't forget the KIPPUP! is just like the Hulk Up. ...just about every major Angle match. Back in WCW, it seemed a good deal of Luger's matches were him getting the crap kicked out of him, then he'd come back, hit a bunch of forearms and rack his opponent, even if his arms or his own back was worked on significantly. HHH no-selling the car being dropped, and similarly the Giant no-selling falling off the roof after his Sumo Truck match with Hogan, JR being set on fire, Shane trying to kill Kane several times, etc. The nWo nearly killing Rock, and he just had some tape on his ribs afterward. The hammer and chair shots were never mentioned. Ken Shamrock's mysterious "internal injuries" where they couldn't decide just where he was injured. (his ribs! his kidneys! no, his chest!). Problem is, that's exactly why some one would do that. In the context of a match, it's smart wrestling. That's why wrestlers need to have a fairly diverse moveset. If the story of the match prevents them from doing certain moves without it seeming unbelievable, then they should do other moves. For example, in a match with Charlie Haas in 2002, I remember Benoit's shoulder being completely wrecked. He sold the shoulder, and did moves using his good arm/shoulder, and kicked the snot out of Haas a good bit, winning the match with a headbutt. Thing is, Van Dam SHOULD be doing moves other than the ones he does now. Instead, WWE cut his moveset, he didn't improve as an overall worker, and so whenever his legs get worked on he still flips and flops around and kicks people. Hence, why that HHH/RVD match people gush over doesn't do anything for me. The story of the match was all f'ed up because that's all Van Dam was doing.

Supposedly there is another Zelda disc planned that has Four Swords on it...and maybe some of the Zelda titles this disc missed. Maybe they'll have LTTP, LA, and the Oracle titles on it. NES games usually didn't have epic endings.

"Is it really that much worse on Raw?" No, they're both bad. I'm saying it isn't night-and-day as far as the overall quality of the show. SD used to be a lot better, but not so much anymore since WWE, if you remember, INTENTIONALLY decided to make it "more like Raw." And as you stated, they succeeded. Matches were shortened, angles got stupider, more GM garbage is on the show, the tag division was ruined, the US title was ruined, and recently the WWE has been pushing the Bashams, Holly, and until he was injured (he was, wasn't he?) Billy Gunn. This Playboy garbage is going to be on both shows now. It is a lot more like Raw except for the Eddy situation.

*gasp* The original, of course. Then like I said to Sakura, get an emulator and download Link's Awakening. (why wasn't it in the collection?!) Maybe they're planning to release a GBA upgrade to Link's Awakening? After all, LTTP was left off the disc, because it had recently come out on GBA. And Metroid: Zero Mission is a remake of sorts...

Sadly, SD is treated as second-rate by WWE themselves. It lacks "star power" and the show is pretty bad these days except for the main event situation. Tag division? Screwed. US title division? Big Show's been keeping the title warm for Cena for quite a while. Cruiserweight division? Up until recently, not much put into it. It's still basically a few guys wrestling here and there, and there's a title on the line sometimes. However, why the hell are they even bothering to call it the Cruiserweight Division? It's turning into what WWE once called it: the "light heavyweight" division. Raw's got a few good matches these days, but the show is hard to call "good."

"The only hard MM game I've ever played was X3. And maybe the first one for game boy." Megaman X6 is hard, but in a cheap way. I beat several of the regular stages and the bosses are a cinch (especially with Zero), but I simply can't stand the game. It isn't fun. Cheap traps, pits ahoy, and putting those retarded reploids in places where you have to die to rescue them? Making the upgrades necessary to advance? Plus the level where that thing in the background is shooting at you? It ticks me off. I could probably finish it if I really wanted, but I got rid it because I hated it so much. Plus, it was really pathetic how bad the animation was. I heard the Xtreme games on Gameboy are hard as hell. The NES games are quite hard. The later games in the NES series get easier, and from what I've played 7's not too hard, and Megaman 8's kinda average difficulty (haven't beaten it yet--still gotta storm Wily's fortress; collecting all the bolts then gonna shop for upgrades). Back on topic, I got the Zelda collection disc. I've only played LTTP, OoT, WW and Oracle of Seasons before--which would you guys recommend I start with? I didn't get into gaming until the bit days, so I dunno about the original LoZ--but I haven't played it yet... I'd tend to agree, but I can still pull out the same games and play them again, enjoying them just as much. However, the new games...just hate 'em. I don't consider myself swayed too heavily by nostalgia, but I just can't stand most newer RPGs.

"I did Brutalities all the time at the arcade. Once you knew them, and the exact area to slow down at, they were no harder than pulling off a normal combo." MK Trilogy came out in the arcade? "Johnny Cage's "nut punch" is awful. First off, you can't use it on Mileena or Kitana." Or Shao Kahn, and I don't think it works on Kintaro, too, but I could be wrong. "Assuming we're talking about MK2 anyway." I think it was the same thing basically in MK1. In MKT he didn't have it.

Yes, and then Randy will be covered and walking in a pool of Bruno's vomit after he realizes why he was brought to WMXX, and never get to do his stupid legend killer schtick. Randy's gimmick is just a ripoff of Larry Zabisco's (No, I don't care how his name is actually spelled), anyway. Hell, that makes two Evolution members ripping off Larry, maybe they should induct him. I don't doubt he could. Bruno's still in great shape, last I heard. Knowing what Stu could do until recently, I'm sure Bruno's capable of the same.

Vince creates the XFL...after it fails, he forces you to join the Kiss My Ass Club. Go back 3 spaces. Would Torrie or Sable be the Community Chest? Possible cards to draw: Your daddy was a midcarder in the 80's; you get a free push. You carried Triple H's bags--collect a win over RVD. Vince misread your resume and thought you were a foot taller than you are; lose 3 turns.
-
I see Bruno's point. WWWF and WWE are not the same company as far as I'm concerned either. Plus, it isn't as if Bruno is an important part of the Wrestlemania legacy. Bruno's career is all pre-WM and wrestling-oriented. I wonder if he was interested at all though--then probably Vince brought up the Playboy angle or something. Does David have a son? I'm sure he'd push him today. He'd be a perfect fit for Evolution....

I think MK3 had some creative fatalities, but the gore in MKII was the best. It was done lazily in MK3 (Sheeva would get skeletonized but have 2 arms, hands would be dangling in the air from the wrist down attached to nothing, humans would have a cherry center instead of guts or anything). I had a friend in high school who could do the brutalities by hand. Un-freakin'-believable.
