I wonder if anyone still has that picture where Nash has the fairy-dust-sparkly hair? Another time I noticed a HUGE ASS BANNER AD for a free condom (tastelessly tucked in some woman's string bikini). I think it was around the time of the original Torrie Playboy hubbub, because I remember it connected somehow with something like that.

Okay, that makes sense, and is the kind of thing that should happen if at all possible. Doesn't explain things like, you know, Kitana never knowing the whole time that her "sister" was a hideous freakin' mutant or anything, but eh, at least they're trying. Anything known on the status of weapons? I haven't played Deadly Alliance at all...so...*shrug*

Whoa, whoa, Rudo. You're forgetting Kevin Dunn's REAL claim to fame in WWE. Forget video production. Dunn did something even more remarkable. Mr. Dunn.....was the man responsible for coming up with the necrophilia storyline. If that doesn't provide him a permanent job in World Wrestling Entertainment, I don't think anyone is safe. He also brought us the lesbian/Al Wilson storyline. No. But if you add it as a favorite...yeah. Regardless, it is baffling just who they hire for what jobs. Stephanie as writer, JR as head of talent, Cole hiring announcers, Ivory training women.... I wonder what the qualifications of the WWE janitors are. Them thar Canadians talk funny.

I remember it, mainly because I had only been watching for less than a year, and when Piper showed up, I was like "who the hell is this guy?" So just imagine how I felt when they brought in Honky. Speaking of Honky, that's who Orton reminds me of now, without the heat. For some reason I think they'll keep it on him until Mania or after Mania. The start of the breakup angle seems a plausible reason to me.

Yeah--often times fighting games will have a bunch of different endings, but only one will actually happen. I don't think Mileena and Baraka ever got together in canon. That being said--it isn't necessary Baraka. It could be just another mutant from that same race, unless it was specifically mentioned to be Baraka. That pic is called baraka.jpg, but hey--it's so early...

Hey, would you prefer that buck-toothed jackass Kevin Dunn to do the hiring? At least Cole adds something to the show in video production.

WWE almost never cuts people who are injured. I think Rosie may be injured, but I haven't watched Raw enough to tell. However, Rosie does anything asked of him, so he'll be around a long time I think. Hossenfeffer--maybe they might realize he's old, sloppy, sucks, and doesn't really have too many definable upsides, and they'll cut him. However, it took like...what...3-4 months after he showed up on TV for them to ax Jones? Other than lack of heat, why would they cut Rico?

I'll say...Steiner.

Miller's shitcanned, WWE's hiring an announcer that knows about wrestling and has qualifications?! Did I wake up in Bizarro World? I hope that he's good, but I fear that he'll be fed his lines through a headset and forced to shill 70% of the show.

He started out as a heel, and as be came less fruity he turned face, I think... HBK looked like either a male stripper (whether gay or straight is anybody's guess) or a straight-up 80's cock-rocker (which became very gay once it went out style). DX played up the homoeroticism, though.

That's part of what makes the show so great. One person's "eh" episode can be another person's favorite, and vice versa. I go to the MST3K Review board, and see tons of people with very different views on episodes. I didn't even look over your list when making mine, I just had fun with it and gave my honest opinions. So, better or worse, there they are. However, keep in mind that you have some episodes I'm lacking. Well, depending on my mood, I really like Laserblast most of the time. It would be a standout probably in a full season, but in the very brief season 7 with Brute Man, Blood Beast, Deathstalker, Melting Man--it doesn't quite work for me as much. Blood Beast is awesome to me. Cheesy Corman movie, rapid-fire riffs a la Space Mutiny, good host segments, the pregnancy riffs = great episode to me. Laserblast seemed way too overwritten, because they WERE trying to just clear out old writing room jokes. I loved the ending of the show, the ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL? running gag, the riffing on the aliens, the mocking of Deezin, Roddy McDowell jokes... Well, in retrospect, I probably liked it more than Brute Man, although the crabby store owner, the Chicken of Tomorrow short, the creeper jokes, etc were pretty damn funny, although most of the Brute Man host segments were weak. Hey, picking out favorites with this show is damn hard. If you wanted to do some tape trading with me, I could tack on a bit of the Gorgo ep after one of the other ones, and you can get a preview of the episode. Since the episode gets much better later on (IMO), you can get a rough idea of what you think of it.

The social commentary can be overbearing and annoying too. However, when the closest thing to biting social commentary they've done in a long time is "DVD will become obsolete sometime!" then you've got problems. Oh, I like Family Guy, but it reminds me of the Treehouse of Horror ep where Peter was in the crowd of Homer clones.

Storm's kinda limited these days. Not necessarily by "WWE style" but by injuries. He mentions (but doesn't actually complain) about the pain and the injuries he lives through everyday, and I haven't heard of him having a set career goal he wants to achieve. Storm might just stick around to make enough money to retire and until he feels he can't wrestle well enough anymore. Ultimo and Goldberg are probably going to be gone after Mania.

*Ahem* He carried Cat and Glacier.

I wonder who might do that. Maybe his name rhymes with Mert Bangle? Eh, gotta be bull. Truth be told, any guys Brock's size are often not good actors, since they're usually athletes first and foremost. That's why when they made the Superman movie, instead of finding someone with the bulk and teaching him to act, they found Reeves and just bulked him up. It's rare to find a guy with the bulk and physique who can act. Eh, they have plenty of time to cast. They seem to be doing alright so far.
-
Well...aren't *chyron* "The Lesbians" ...the first clear-cut gay faces?
-
I fear Al Wilson's return...
-
Actually, interpreted it that they turned her into "shameless outlet for the writers' ideals who somehow gets tons of shows centered around her even though nobody gives a crap about her and her stupid causes." The movie will suck, I'll bet.
-
Okay, no wonder I didn't remember--haven't seen that ep in years and don't have it on tape.

I doubt it, since it isn't even out in arcades yet. Or is Namco going to make "direct-to-console" releases now? The arcade market ain't what it used to be these days. I thought you hated Deadly Alliance? Deception will probably play just like it with a few additions. (The success of DA will have them in the "if it ain't broke" mindset.) You WOULD! Call me crazy, but while this won't top my list, if Namco can take have a mini-game like Tekken Force, and make a whole game that's in the same style but more ambitious, it could be damn good. Hell, Tekken Force is way better than WMXIX's Revenge mode and better than a lot of standalone games on the market.

So What Did You Think Of The Contract Singing?
AndrewTS replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in The WWE Folder
Uhm that is what Benoit said. After kissing Shawn's ass. *cough* Austin. -
I'll do my own list. I sent basically the same thing to 5 moves in a PM, but what the hey... Season by season. KTMA/1: Very rough, very little riffing. However, either Robot Holocaust or Robot Monster are good picks from this season. I can't copy Robot Holocaust, but I have a great copy of Robot Monster. Season 2 Kinda at the transition period here. Some good eps, but lots of ups and downs. The sublime Godzilla vs. Megalon and Hellcats in the same season (tsk, tsk) Recommended: 203 - Jungle Goddess w/Phantom Creeps pt. 1 207 - Wild Rebels 212 - Godzilla VS Megalon (one of my top 5 from any era of the show) Available through Rhino: Catalina Caper Season 3: Cave Dwellers is an excellent pick up, as are the Gameras. A season of cheese caused the riffing to shift to a more pop-culture riff style. Very strong season, though. A hell of a lot of great episodes. Recommended: 302 - Gamera 306 - Time of the Apes 310 - Fugitive Alien 311 - It Conquered The World w/Snow Thrills 312 - Gamera Vs. Guiron 318 - Space Force: Fugitive Alien 2 320 - The Unearthly w/Posture Pals & Appreciating Your Parents 321 - Santa Claus Conquers the Martians Available through Rhino: Amazing Colossal Man (discontinued, but I can make a copy) Cave Dwellers Pod People The Unearthly Season 4: Maybe I haven't seen the eps in these enough, but the season starts out very weak, and ends on several strong notes, with the excellent Hercules episodes bridging the gap. However, the tapes I have of the early eps aren't very good quality. However, recommendations that I can make you good copies of include: 404 - Teenagers from Outer Space 408 - Hercules Unchained 410 - Hercules Vs. The Moonmen 411 - The Magic Sword 414 - Tormented 418 - Attack Of The Eye Creatures 420 - The Human Duplicators 422 - The Day The Earth Froze w/Here Comes The Circus 423 - Bride of the Monster w/Hired! pt 1 424 - Manos: The Hands of Fate w/Hired pt 2 Available Through Rhino: Manos: The Hands of Fate Season 5: The season featuring the Mike/Joel switch, and tons of great episodes as well. I don't have the original Hercules episode, but I saw a half hour of it and want it. Santa Claus is a must-have ep, but my copy is so crappy I can't get you one. Fortunately, a lot of the season's best episodes are on video, but there are still plenty they missed. Recommended: 502 - Hercules (I need this one myself, so no copy I'm afraid) 505 - The Magic Voyage of Sinbad 508 - Operation Double 007 519 - Outlaw of Gor (This one is kinda rough picture quality) 521 - Santa Claus (Need a better copy, though) Recommended Rhino Releases Mitchell The Atomic Brain w/ What About Juvenile Delinquency? The Wild World of Batwoman Eegah! Season 6: Has some excellent episodes, however, the Coleman Francis ones are often hard to sit through if you're not used to movies that bad. We also a few Wood pictures, but none of them are as much of a scream as Plan 9. I really wished they'd have done Glen or Glenda instead of Sinister Urge. *shrug* There are a lot of gaps in my season 6 collection, though. However, for Rhino eps, do not miss the cheesy 70's jigglefest Angels' Revenge: hot babes of many varied race and hair color are trying to get drugs off the street ("Never has the war on drugs been so sexy!), and a bunch of washed up sitcom stars make cameos (plus, one scene seems to have been written in mind for Bob "Gilligan" Denver, but I guess he passed on it). Recommended: 601 - Girls Town 604 - Zombie Nightmare 621 - Beast Of The Yucca Flats w/Money Talks and Progress Island 617 - Sword and The Dragon 624 - Samson vs. the Vampire Women Recommended Rhino Releases: R 606 - Creeping Terror (This one is really, really bad. And pretty boring, so maybe you wouldn't want this one...I warmed up to it though) R 609 - The Skydivers (beware, Coleman Francis flick!) R 619 - Red Zone Cuba (ditto) R 622 - Angels' Revenge (GET IT!) Season 7 The last season on Comedy Central, made up of only six episodes. I'd recommend them all, and the weakest of them (Laserblast) is worth it because it is the last CC ep. Unfortunately, a lot of the Sci Fi eps I haven't seen in so long that it's hard to remember which was good. Although I have plenty of favorites from the Sci Fi years. Eh, next post I guess... Who the hell is Paper Chase Guy?! I don't know what movie you guys are talking about. Oh, Angelslayer, I have Gorgo, too.

Eh, I prefered La Parka, but yeah, Psychosis is awesome. Oh, best competitive modes of play overall might have to go to Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth or HCTP. However, I'm pissed off that "I Quit" was ditched for HCTP so we could have fucking Bra and Panties matches.
