The SNES was always the most powerful 16-bit cartridge console. Well, I suppose the NEO GEO was, but nobody regards it as 16-bit, do they? The Genesis has faster processing speed than the SNES. The SNES has more colors and a better sound chip. Also, the controller can be an issue depending on the games. Case in point: the Street Fighter games. The SNES versions had more colors and better music. However, the Genesis 6-button controller is far better for playing it than the SNES one. Wrestlemania: The Arcade Game and TMNT: Tournament Fighters are so much better on Genesis it isn't even funny. The SNES versions of The Adventures of Batman and Robin (totally different game), Batman Returns (ditto), MKII and III are all better on SNES. Usually the SNES versions of games would be the better one.

Welcome to the wonderful world of SNKlish. YOU SICK PSYCHOPATHS!

Which ties into my main gripe about FFVII--it's a sequel that gameplay-wise didn't advance or expand at all, actually regressing in some means. It's not even as if it was altered to make it more challenging, it's just minor enough a change to make it fit in with the FFVII story.

"Rated E for Everyone" "Rated K-A for Kids to Adults" "Rated T for Teen" "Rated M for Mature." They're on the boxes (with explanations of the content), in ads, in reviews, spoken aloud on TV. If the parents can't understand them they don't deserve the right to reproduce.

Heard it isn't as good--more of a one-on-one fighter--it's even one plane (i.e. ring's basically just a background). Of course, I haven't played it myself, so I could be wrong.

We have the ratings system now, that's the major difference. They had to gather their data proving that the parents are fucktards who don't pay attention to the ratings anyway. It's true, too. Four times I had to warn parents that MAYBE this game isn't appropriate for your 10 year old you irresponsible dispshit!

Before Shane feud: Kane was the consistent top ratings draw on the show. After Shane feud: Kane was drawing lower-than-average ratings.

I'll consider it, however these days you're more likely to see me posting in the Video Games/Toys folder than the WWE one.

Bah--21 here. I'll get you all of that, but that'll be a 15% commission. Screw this guy! I'll do it free of commision......and you'll get special coupon days! However you'll have to give sacrifice a virgin to me at the end of every month. No beer, though. Heheh. Oh yeah, topic. Rockstar makes another game that heavily depends on racy content, big shock.

Austin coming back? Good, I don't have to even consider wasting those two hours watching Raw.
-
I'd put a good deal of faith in your opinions about fighters and platformers most of the time, but not RPGs. No offense, Ren. As a person who looks for great deals on games, particularly used stuff--no, not worth $20.

Actually, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance munches 10x harder than Saga ever could. Saga has a passable battle system and a bad story, but the bad story absorbs most of the play time. FFTA has a bad story and a really bad battle system, so there's no fun to be had. Plus, I've wished horrible, painful death on the Saga characters less than I did the FFTA characters. Xenogears is a far superior game to Saga, so if you blow a perfectly good Jackson on Saga don't come crying to me. For twenty bucks you could buy a good RPG or a couple good sci-fi movies, instead of a shitty RPG and shitty sci-fi movie in one package. Hell, with 20 bucks you can get one of the Greatest Hits FF packages (either Chronicles or Anthology).

Not really--the vertebreaker is out. Of course, he still has the Elbowdrop to Throat and the crappy jumping kick to the head.

I think HHH's movie will be over by the time Royal Rumble rolls around, if I'm correct. It might be on DVD before the Rumble rolls around.

Molly retained and joined Evolution? NOOO!! *belts that matter The tag straps and Big Gold Belt matter? The IC title matters? In the eyes of the marks, yes. No one really cares about the women's title. Sad, but true. And they care about those others? Okay, MAYBE you could make a case for the Big Goldie... You abbreviated your name like a "diva?"

After the first couple weeks, I liked Goldberg as champion.

"Plans originally were to have Goldberg retain his title by pinning Triple H, to keep distance between Goldberg and Kane for their big showdown at the Rumble. However, word is that HHH suggested that the match would be a big enough draw on its own without the title, and having it non-title and building up a separate title match besides would provide for two intriguing PPV headliners instead of one."

Hey, I've yet to have my questions in the original post answered.

J*ingus: Cute. Nose looks kinda odd on that angle, though. Otherwise fine. Isn't she dressed as one of the Phantasy Star IV characters there? Also...it's on topic, and damnit, some one had to do it. *cues up classic Mario theme* DO THE MARIO!!

First, Orton bleaches his hair blond. Of course, he keeps it short so HHH doesn't get jealous. Next, we play up his relatives. Yeah, he's the son of Cowboy Bob, but he can also be rumored to be related to a famous street fighter. Then, you give him an even better hometown than WCW Special Forces... He's going to have to learn to punch faster, though.

Yeah, but the Brachiosaur can net you Economizers. I forget if you steal or transform him with Ragnarok (or both), but the Economizer lets you cast any spell for 1 MP. Vanish/Doom worked well on him, I believe. It's the same sprite as Kappa the Imp, and you could pretend it really was a different character. Other than that, it isn't really any different. It was rather useful if you REALLY hated Gau and wanted to pretend he didn't exist. I know it doesn't exist, but fulfilling the rumored conditions back then, I'm saying I never saw it. At one time, we've probably tried some of these. Umaro and Gogo probably sounded fake when we first heard about them. After that, we were less skeptical.
