Blame Metal Gear Solid for the action game talkfests. The best thing about the Suikoden series is that you get six characters in your party. Makes the battles far more interesting. I see FFVII as the first uber-heavy-cinematic next-gen game. However, you have your opinion on what started it, and I have mine. Regardless, their success both encouraged the makers of that overpriced frisbee Xenosaga to make a shitty sci-fi movie within a shitty game.
-
Neither... Truly overrated. ] Good but not great. There's very little change in gameplay from FFVI, which WAS fantastic in it's time. Graphics don't mean as much to me as gameplay. One less party member, all characters play virtually the same except for limit breaks, and I think it sparked these modern day talk-heavy syndrome we find in far too many games today, even action-based games.

I loved Super Punch Out for SNES. Hell, I never actually has an NES or played the arcade version, but it was a great game on its own merits. Oddly, we never got an N64 update. Now, two console generations later, we still have no Punch Out update (though a new, cel-shaded Punch Out for GC would rawk). I've noticed that there's been some attempts to revive arcade-style boxing by other companies, though. Ready 2 Rumble Boxing's in the same vein, but doesn't play much like PO. Then of course--there's the GBA. I've seen Punch King, Boxing Fever, and there's another Punch Out style title reviewed in the new Nintendo Power (gave it away, don't remember the title). Are any of them actually any good? If so, I want check them out. I heard Punch King sucked, but I haven't played the others.

Hey, rampant xenophobia and racism (more than America) aren't their only issues--gender equality, government regulation of business and social welfare are up there too, I believe.
-
Sounds like he screwed up the wording pretty badly. Also, it sounds like Vince really wants to create a Hannibal Lechter style character, but has neither the actors nor the writers to pull it off. Killing a dog--is that the best that they could come up with?

Eh...maybe I'll watch the 2nd hour. "The Cat came out to the ring, he was going to bring Sable to dance with him. Sable came out and she told she only danced for Vince McMahon and then left. The Cat then danced." Wow, even more pointless than the Torrie segment! Good job, WWE. Is there a good reason for the Cat to be employed other than "he's black, so if we fire him despite him sucking he'll sue for descrimination?" Well... *looks at the white wrestlers on the roster who suck just as much* I guess he'd have a case, then. They should have never hired him in the first place, though.

I've been trying to figure that one out myself. It's quite obvious--the abortion issue is one of the issues that separates the parties, and we're talking about political affiliation. Hence, it's natural for it to come up. Anyway, here's my take on CM's 7 dissenting points: 1. No. I suspect if it happened, we'd see tons of class-action suits of people suing because they or family members of them were messed up by drugs. 2. Personally, no. 3. Half-agree. 4. No. 5. Depends. The way the Supremely Screwed Up Court "interprets" things, they'll be giving child molestors the right to fuck little kids in their own homes in no time, and so forth, etc. 6. Yes. 7. Eh. I don't believe in a strict one. I think it's a waste of time to try to officially revise the pledge. If it "offends" you, don't say it. Don't force congress to waste time with such a trivial issue. As for cash--sure, take it off but while you're at it take out the pagan imagery. The political compass, at politicalcompass.org at least, has shot its credibility to hell with me. In their look at the US Primaries 2003, it puts me far more left and Libertarian than Lieberman, Dean, Kerry, etc. Anyone got a better one?

"Once again, I obviously was shown how fucking stupid I actually am here on the boards publicly, so I'll try to make you all believe that I was just PRETENDING to be a twatrock." While the point of your post was pretty obvious DH, I'll give you credit--I've never heard the term "twatrock" used before.

And you just admitted it yourself. There's no argument! I think you've just incriminated yourself for a banning!!! Whee. .... .... Must....resist.... Oh hell. OMG!~ BAN PLZ!!! Oops--hopping from window to window and missed that.

SWERVE!~ "Hell, I make a post that is INHERENTLY flawed (the "what type" post) and people call it "good topic" until Andrew finally figures it out. Good job, took you long enough!" "Finally?" I figured it out the moment I read it. Unless you mean "you" as in the board collective. At any rate, I thought you said that was going to be your last CE post, and here you are, still posting.

It's quite possible. In other news: Did anyone hear today that Japan > America? I did. Nope, actually. Their economy is KICKIN', isn't it? To America, Japan's kinda like those alien symbiotes from the Spidey comics. It's got tendencies to be very weird and creepy, but is still beneficial to us and us to them, so rah. At least JMA stopped bitching about WWE's French-bashing, though. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm craving a hamburger.

Pffft...he was joking, right? I think he's fat enough to warrant his own political party, though.

Agreed. The only people who deserve death penalties are going to be in prision for the rest of their life anyway, and unless you're religious once they're dead, that's it. There's plenty of time to punish, say, a child murderer for what he's done that shouldn't be passed up by just killing him instead. Seems almost like an easy way out. Right. In addition, prison is supposed to be punishment and rehabilitation. If we're talking about the sort who have proven to be incapable of being rehabilitated, they could be at least coerced to pay back their debt to society some how if they can't be reintroduced into it.
-
Where is the "Death Penalty" on that list? Basically, I'm against it. It's too good a punishment for most of those who earn it. I'd put them on an old-school chain gang and sentence them to hard labor for the rest of their lives. Plus, it's not even a deterrent to most of the really fucked up and crazy killers who may even welcome death.
-
That's not "logical." That's a decision you'd make based on your own personal bias. "Logical" implies we're dealing with facts instead of opinions and theories. To me, a life is more important than some one's convenience. However, that's *my* bias, which I'll freely admit. However, I do find it hilarious how some of the rulings the Supreme Court makes are stretched so far beyond the original intent that it seems they can "interpret" any law any they want.

That's the quote I was going on. I think pregnancy is more than just a mild inconvience, to be honest. I went on this quote: In most cases, you're not talking about one dying so that the other can live. You're talking about the mother having to live with her own mistake because she couldn't tell her boyfriend to slide a piece of rubber onto his dick or remember to take a pill at the right time. I swear, if humans came with a control panel on their backs where they could switch "fertile" to "infertile" and back at their leisure, they'd still fuck it up.
-
"I guess you can't read." I said above that I'm very much against it, but if I were a politician I'd pretty much have to be Pro-Choice.
-
It's more important that the mother not be inconvenienced than if the fetus lives? Gotcha. Granted, I wouldn't want any of these irresponsible little bitches actually trying to raise a child, but you can put the child up for adoption. It's been proven also that getting an abortion can be both mentally and physically detrimental to the mother. She's in far more danger in most cases to actually get the abortion. MrRant: I'm of course not referring to the rare cases where if a child is to be born the mother would have to die. That's not the usual situation, but when it is it's a terrible one.

"Classical liberal" refers to the basic ideals that the American government was built upon. As opposed to the left-winged "social welfare liberalism" which refers to those who feel that the government is obligated to try to fix any problems in society that they see fit. Just took the Political Compass test-- "Your political compass Economic Left/Right: -3.62 Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.31" Hmph...

Okay, knock it the hell off with the whole slash-action thing. Are you a robot? Do you type in your program commands? Does writing "/sigh" make you sigh? Couldn't you just write "I wont tell you" instead of "/doesn't tell you"? If it's not "poses, spits water" as a joke, don't write an action. It's not clever nor funny. Now you're just bitching for the sake of bitching. Did you get that haircut yet, you damn hippy?

Money put into the military is never a waste. Remember the militarty is responsible for almost all of the technology advances of the last 30 years. Military spending covers a wide range of things. I didn't say it was all a waste, and I know a lot of military R&D leads to consumer products down the line. However, we're up to...what...$300 billion in military spending right now, or nearly close to it? Surely some of it can easily be cut, especially with all of the troops stationed in peaceful countries throughout the world for no real practical reason. Surprisingly, Democrats were the big military spenders decades ago.

Okay, then Henry wouldn't qualify. A-Train, though...

Backstage News On Reaction To Heyman & Cena
AndrewTS replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in The WWE Folder
Oh yeah, because when WWE considers whether or not to push someone, their ringwork is a big factor. -
Krackel, A.K.A. Hershey's Crunch ripoff. Mr. Goodbar comes in a yellow wrapper. Do either of them exist outside of those big bags of mini candy bars?
